Staff were friendly and very accommodating and went beyond to help you out , amazing greeting at reception when we arrived and thanked us for our custom and stay when we left , Claire on reception was exceptional , with a very bubbly personality. Great breakfast , wonderful views , very clean bedrooms, facilities and overall just a great stay and experience. Definitely recommend and when we next go down to the Poole area we would not hesitate to book again as we would look nowhere else

5 Star so nothing to dislike.

Very unexpected accommodation when we was looking for a long weekend away. After reading the reviews we thought we would give it a go. So pleased we did, lovely building and very friendly staff. Our room was clean with a fantastic view of the boats coming and going in the harbour. Breakfast buffet was superb, great choice and cooked lovely. Loved the bar with the views, shame about the scaffolding with works going on but do appreciate that cannot be helped. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Poole.

The hotel is great, lovely staff and really amazing modern architecture. I had a lovely room, I loved the bath, the view and the bed was super comfortable - it was clean and functional without being clinical or sparse...the decor was super cute with the lifeboat nod cushions, and the colours. I really liked the bin with recycling options to. When I got up in the morning the sunrise was absolutely spectacular and it was really nice being so close to the sea.

I didn't feel very well catered for as a vegan, there was only cows milk in my room, and no vegan options at breakfast at all as far as I could see. When I asked the chef he kindly gave me a banana, but I didn't really feel I could eat anything else as nothing was labelled, I definitely could have asked as all the staff were extremely helpful but I didn't have time. I also tried the vegan burger in the restaurant the night before which was very dry and bland, the chips were great!

Lovely, helpful staff. Very comfortable, large room with a side view of the harbour. The first-floor bar has amazing panoramic views across the water, particularly stunning at sunset! We ate in the spacious, stylish restaurant. They have buffet nights, and it was Indian food the night we stayed - tasty, and good veggie options too. Good breakfast, with a table overlooking the harbour again; we watched the RNLI trainees loading equipment onto the boats. LOVE the fact that all profits are ploughed back into the RNLI.

It would be good to have a marked drop-off area for luggage and/or mobility-impaired visitors, particularly as there are only a limited number of blue-badge spaces near the entrance, and they were all full.

My room was extremely comfortable. There was a lovely seating area with harbour views. As well as the usual tea and coffee there was hot chocolate and ginger nut biscuits. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One even walked my sister down a passageway to the nearby Asda when it was dark and she couldn't find her way. The upstairs bar has super views and was a great place to sit whilst waiting for others to join us. My sister and I weren't hungry and only had a starter in the evening which was delicious. The location was perfect for me as I was viewing a legacy lifeboat next door to the hotel.

The food at breakfast could gave been warmer.

Our room was excellent and surpassed our expectations. Large and spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows! The view we had over the port was pleasant enough. We arrived late for breakfast (just after 10am) and chef had had a busy morning by all accounts! Everything was there for us both to have a Full-English... but without sausages. Chef provided some delicious sausages for us soon after.

Just general restaurant housekeeping really- we arrived for breakfast just after 10am and it sounded like we missed a busy morning for chef and staff. However many tables were not cleared and cleaned.

we have stayed here several times and intend to come back whenever we can. It is important to realise that you are staying in a working, training centre first and a hotel second. You share the facilities with RNLI staff so you can chat and get a good understanding of what it takes to train and be a RNLI crew member. You will be amazed how professional these volunteers are. Big plus is that you are contributing to RNLI coffers whilst having a lovely stay away

It is a training centre first and a hotel second, so it is not the plushest, most spacious room with the nicest furnishings but it is much, much more than adequate. It is clean, tidy, warm and plenty good enough for a night or two stay

Pretty much everything! The college is an interesting and attractive piece of architecture, and very different to the hotel chains. It's beautifully situated, with lovely views over the inner harbour at Poole. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with a partly separate sitting/study area, and take advantage of the unique situation of the building. The restaurant serves a really great breakfast, with plenty of choices, and does good value bistro style meals in the evening. If you fancy a change, you're just a 10 or 15 minute stroll from a good variety of eateries in the old town and Quay area. We'll be back!

Not the hotel's fault, but some scaffolding slightly spoiled the beautiful views from the bar.

The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had the most amazing view over Holes Bay. Great to have a little fridge in the room to keep milk fresh. Lovely to have a bath and shower. The whole place is stunning and the food is exceptionally good - the buffet breakfast offers everything you could wish for. Secure parking is a real bonus. If you have time take the guided tours that are offered - it's a very interesting place. All the staff are really very friendly, you'll get a warm welcome at reception and fabulous service from the waiting staff and bar staff. Would not hesitate to recommend the RNLI College to anyone wanting somewhere unique to stay for a few days. We'll certainly be back.

Wasn't too keen on the choice of music at breakfast time, it was a bit loud and intrusive.....maybe something more smooth and classical rather than screeching vocals!!

The room was clean and modern with good facilities and an excellent view of the harbour The building was modern and well designed

The Riggers restaurant. The lack of soft furnishings, the wooden floor, large areas of glass and no ceiling made it a very noisy space. The conversations and laughter were amplified making it hard to talk and the noise was distracting. The dinner menu was very un-inspiring and just 'gastropub' We were sat in a dark corner. The bottle of white wine came un-chilled. My small portion of sea bass on a bed of cabbage and baked potato was very 'east European'
