The room was excellent, comfortable, clean, and with a balcony that looked out to the ocean. There are two properties now under the Gold Beach name and we stayed at the property previously owned by the Ireland family. The grounds are lovely, with "rooms" set up around the property, perfect for quiet moments and stolen kisses. Breakfast is included but we didn't partake as we wanted to visit the cafe at Gold Beach Books. There are paths leading to the beach and a small lighthouse. Most importantly for me is that the property welcomes dogs.

There was an issue with the ice machines - both of them, which seemed to be an ongoing problem. We needed it so that was missed but it might not be so for others. There was ongoing work at the property while we were there, but the noise level was kept quite low.

The location was close to restaurants and other amenities. It was also beachfront, so we were able to watch the crashing surf on a beautiful sunny morning. You can also walk to the beach from this location. Our room was renovated and very clean. Overall, a good stay and would probably go again. Very affordable February trip.

The outside of the building showed its age. The outside stairs had worn spots where the carpet was worn through. Although there were numerous spots on the outside of the buildings that needed siding and trim replaced, that did affect our stay.

Convenient location, oceanfront, comfortable beds, cool contemporary bathroom. Also near the Rogue river and at least two other smaller rivers. Comfortable beds. Near a delicious restaurant for seafood etc, Spinners. Also a wonderful beach and information center just south of town called Chrissy Beach.

The phone in the room for calling the front desk was broken. Otherwise everything was lovely.

Stayed here a few years ago and like it for location and cost. Went last weekend and please to see rooms remodeled. Checked into room but was definatly not what we were expecting. Loud next to the road and just an odd place for rooms. Front desk was amazing about upgrading us to exactly what we wanted with only room difference fee. Love this beach! Beautiful view from our room!

The balcony! Balcony was super janky years ago and same story this time. Weird slant. My husband wouldn’t even step foot on it. Room had no air conditioning so we slept with the balcony door wide open. Weird at first but peaceful. Flat pillows too. All first world problems for the price. Still staying here again!!

The room was fabulous (decor, cleanliness, lighting)

We were just disappointed to show up and see so many rooms with an ocean view, and our room was on the side with no ocean view -- HOWEVER, I'm sure this was most likely because the ocean view rooms must have been booked, which may be why I did not have an option (or wasn't even aware of it) for an ocean view when I booked our room.

The rooms were exceptional in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Didn't have ac but the room stayed relatively cool in the peak of day middle of August. Warm food served in the morning was a nice touch and the shampoo bottles for large. The tv channels didn't come in very clear but had a beautiful view thru a large window of the ocean and a patio to stand on as well. Beds were super comfortable. Great value and worth the upgrade for a beachside room.

How close it was to the beach and the location .

I was disappointed that the hot tub was out of service and that we had to go to the office to get stuff if we needed something. There was no service to the room until we left..

I would recommend the gardens they have cabin like rooms that come with a pleasant surprise! The access to the beach to for breathtaking views make this a great place to stay!

We stay here everytime we go down the coast. It's a great value with breakfast included. The hot tubs haven't ever worked but we travel in the winter and fall months that could be why. The staff is always wonderful. It's a great value.

Quite location, breakfast was good enough with a choice, appreciate that, morning staff was pleasant.

Night staff lady acted like the tubs n pool was off limits to us the guest in front was fine was odd I thought, one reason I stayed but was not worth dealing with. Desperately needed outside sweeping at door entrance and balcony area not yet done for open season my guess. I'll go back. It was pleasent.
