Great location, beautiful views that was clean and aesthetically well designed. Great value for money and particularly good for a quieter break with the pool area in the daytime quiet and perfectly located for sun and views. The pool guys Paban and Ranjan were just the nicest, friendliest, professional members of staff and couldn’t do enough to ensure it was a relaxing few hours…absolute credit to the hotel alongside many others at the front desk, lift security an dining staff!

Breakfast was carnage at times and the table you were given was often taken by the time you got back from the serving area. Taxis were a total ripoff compared to other areas I had stayed in.

Most 5-star hotels deliver what you expect—excellent facilities backed by professional service. But truly exceptional properties go further, offering genuine warmth and care. The Doubletree Hilton in Panaji, Goa is one such gem. This trip was particularly special for our family. We hadn't taken an extended vacation in five years, since my mother began dialysis treatment. Here are the things I really enjoyed about our stay: Location and accessibility: The hotel sits in an ideal spot—close to attractions in both North and South Goa, with easy access to Panaji itself. Our Deluxe King Rooms offered stunning, unobstructed views of the Mandovi River. The resort strikes the perfect balance: spacious yet compact. My mother, who uses a wheelchair, could access every part of the property without difficulty. Lush nature surrounds you everywhere—wild forests beyond the property and manicured gardens within. Food: Comida serves Goan specialities alongside Indian, pan-Asian, and continental dishes. Throughout our week-long stay, we enjoyed the in-room dining menu and breakfast and dinner buffets—the quality and variety consistently impressed us. What sets this property apart: While food and facilities matter, people define the hospitality experience—and this is where the Hilton Panaji really stands out. The personal touch began immediately after booking, with staff reaching out to ensure our needs were met. Check-in was smooth, and we received rooms suited to my mother's requirements. The Comida restaurant staff made every meal extraordinary, treating us like valued house guests rather than hotel clients. Every team member, regardless of role, demonstrated genuine care. Chef Narayan even offered to personally deliver food to my mother on her dialysis day. If this is not going over and beyond, I don’t know what is.

Dining options: To be honest, dining options were somewhat limited, as only one restaurant currently operates. Feliz, the speciality restaurant located by the pool, is currently undergoing renovation. Minor housekeeping issues: While I wouldn't consider them serious concerns, housekeeping could do with some process improvements. For instance, the TV remote was missing from one of our rooms on the day of arrival, and there were repeated delays in replacing hand towels all through the week.

This hotel has a peaceful & scenic location - situated nearly midway between Panaji City Centre and Old Goa Cathedrals. The front of the hotel overlooks a thick forested area and provides great views of the forest and the Mandovi river. The river view rooms are the ones to book if you wish to avail of the tranquil views. The staff, right from reception to catering to housekeeping & other functions were all very friendly, efficient and helpful. This hotel makes for a great stay in a reasonably central location with a peaceful and scenic environment. If you prefer sea views or proximity to beaches, look for other options.

We had a very good experience overall, so have no suggestions for major improvement.

Service - The staff here really go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. It would be unfair to mention just one person as we met a lot of staff during our stay and all were exceptional. Rooms - The rooms are of a great standard with a spacious balcony, bathroom and lounge area, even in the economy rooms (one we booked). The room is serviced everyday to a great standard. Facilities - great sized pool with a lovely range of sunbeds and chairs. Well-equipped gym and spa. Everything was modern and clean. Food - Probably one of the most impressive was the food. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive with a range of European and local dishes. Great range of foods to avoid repetition during stay. They have an al carte menu throughout the day and an impressive dinner buffet. The dinner buffet offers a great variety of tasty dishes, they mix up the specialist dishes of the evening to keep it exciting for guests and even offer to make alterations on the night. Usually we do not go for buffets but chose this options every night because of the quality.

Our five days at Double Tree Goa was outstanding, it was our best hotel experience during our six week adventure across India. Our room was immaculate and spacious, luxuriously appointed, and with a serene and calming view across the river. The pool was absolutely wonderful. We ate all meals for five days at the restaurant and they were all fabulous - great variety, very tasty, and beautifully presented. On some occasions, food was specially prepared for us. But most importantly, all the staff - absolutely all - were just outstanding. They were so kind, polite, good humoured, and attentive. Sadly, we were both quite unwell while staying at the hotel due to a nasty stomach infection that we both picked up just before we arrived in Goa. We relied heavily on the staff to take care of us for a number of days, including arranging a doctor on Christmas Eve and a visit to hospital on Christmas Day. During this difficult time, we felt like we were genuinely looked after, not just "managed". Staff were incredibly available and patient with us during this stressful time. Above all we felt safe in a foreign land - you cannot put a price on this.

The attention, assistance , care and helpfulness of the staff was more than outstanding. Nothing was spared to make our stay enjoyable. Special mention of Sarang n Simran at Frontdesk, Sima n others in the Restaurant and Shona in the Spa who went out of their way to be helpful. The river view rooms are well worth the little extra. Housekeeping is good n prompt. Breakfast selection is nice n varied. Service mostly great.

As we were attending the Serendipity Festival the location at the outskirts required us to have a car at all times. Overall the hotel needs a bit of a face-lift as it's age is showing e.g the corridor carpets need replacement and woodwork needs renovation n polishing.

Firstly I would like to mention Mr Rahul Singh from Security team for his special warmth and attention to make sure the stay is more pleasant than already. Helps you with minute details and speaks very kindly for all the naval like personality. Everything apart is great as well, u might bump into casino guests in the lobby which makes it little crowded at times. Thanks to people like Rahul to make sure security is uptight all the time.

Proximity to main market. Nothing much outside of the property or around to go out about .

The staff were incredible, spa was beautiful - I had an amazing facial from Eesha, the food was wonderful, the location was peaceful, the property was well looked after. My room was lovely (thank you Anirudh for the upgrade and kind welcome). Deea was very nice and helpful with booking transport. As a solo female traveller I felt very well looked after.

The location was fine for me as I wanted to relax, but it was a 15-20 min taxi ride to the nearest city so maybe less ideal for people who want to be close ti action. I missed having bar to go and sit, however the communal areas were very pleasant.

The breakfast buffet spread was exquisite - including both continental & local cuisines! The scenic location of the hotel offered a great sense of safety, respite and tranquility. The staff were impeccable & very very helpful. The pool area was very beautiful & well maintained too!

The staff were lovely & assisted me a lot. No complaints with the service!! However, as I was travelling/ staying alone, I found it a bit challenging to figure out logistics, on the spot and could have used even more help.

DoubleTree Hilton exceeded my expectations in every way. The staffs were exceptional, Warm, attentive and always ready to help. What stood out most was the individual attention they gave to each guests, making the experience very personal and special. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options and impeccable service.

Rooms had a slight musty smell, possibly due to the heavy rain and moisture in the season.
