The unit was very clean and tidy with two separate bedrooms, a kitchenette with microwave, jug and fridge/freezer and good amenities. Large screen TV with Sky TV and a heat pump outlet in the lounge area. Plenty of lounge seating and a good sized dining table. The bathroom was excellent, with two basins, large mirror, and a separate shower, spa bath and toilet room with a sliding door so it could be used while someone else used the basins. Very quiet unit and the curtains were very good block-out ones. Wifi was available and easy to use.

The heat pump system could have had had outlets in both bedrooms as well so you didn't have to have the doors open to the lounge area so that bedrooms could be quiet and slept in and cooled while someone else was in the lounge watching TV, where with only one cooling outlet the bedroom doors had to be kept open which was a bit noisy if TV was on.

The lady who showed us our room was super nice and friendly. The accommodation itself was spacious and nicely decorated and furnished. There was no TV in the bedroom though, just in the living area. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic with nice quality toiletries supplied. The kitchenette was fully equipped with everything you could need including a small hob. The outlook from the bedroom is pretty average. The rooms with the garden patio area downstairs looked quite nice. Grounds were well nicely landscaped and tidy. I thought this accommodation was good value for money.

The spacious unit was ideally planned for convenience and comfort with the bedroom/bathroom separate from kitchen/lounge area. Air-conditioning was necessary because of high summer temperatures and that cooled the lounge efficiently. There is also a quiet fan in the bedroom. Very quiet motel considering there are twenty two units and busy roads on each side. Very convenient to shops, cafes and supermarkets.

Suggest lower units for elderly people so that steps are not involved.

The motel had a designated vape area. cant vape in your patio on the table and chairs outside your room. Every time I went exited the hotel, I seen the Owner sitting in a room with the curtain half open, just watching everyone go in and out of the motel, not professional at all. Paying customers should not have somebody watching their every move , or feel like they are on surveillance during their stay. Myself and another unit noticed this during our stay

Spacious, very clean and comfortable, we had a lovely 3 night stay over New Year. Even though the motel is on a busy road, the double glazing kept the noise out very effectively and we were not bothered at night time at all, The staff are very helpful and were keen to make our stay a pleasant one. Great location just easy 10 min walk from restaurants and cafes. We absolutely loved the cycle path along the waterfront and would definitely return.

Loved how clean everything was. The man at reception who greeted us was so lovely! We really liked how he showed us to our room and how everything worked - the glass bottles for milk are a lovely touch. Everything is so super tidy, the spa bath is great as well. Just a very well run motel, we would absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely loved this accommodation. The bedroom, lounge and bathroom were all very spacious. Beautiful big bed with high quality linen. The hosts were very warm and approachable and gave us a great run down of our room and the facilities. The motel was nice and close to town. The cost was extremely reasonable for such a great room and we will definitely stay here again if we are visiting Whakatane.

The rooms were very clean, modern, large and private with an excellent bathroom and kitchen. We had a 2-bedroom unit and both bedrooms were very large and comfortable. Plus, each bedroom had its own door to the bathroom.

Our 2-bedroom unit was upstairs, but it was still very nice. With a very easy climb up the wide stairway. We will stay here again and next time we request a downstairs unit.

Absolutely lovely welcome to the property and the room. Very personal but also professional. Clean and well maintained bedroom and bathroom, with a big shower as well as separate spa bath. Spacious bedroom and living area but at the same time did not feel empty....I think it would have been very comfortable for a prolonged stay. Only there for one night so didn't have need to cook, but seemed to have good facilities for meal prep. Walking distance to town centre and easy to find, which was great at the end of a 6 hour drive!!

Room was very well laid out. Plenty of space, and very well appointed. Modern furnishings and very well finished. Everything worked as expected. Escorted to room, shown all relevant information...... no Guesswork Best of 18 hotels we stayed at in NZ by far. 500m from a 15km out and back walk track. walking distance (less than 1km) to fast food outlets. Would thoroughly recommend.

I looked very hard for something that was less than perfect...... I gave up. Fantastic room.
