The location, the grounds. You could tell this had been a fabulous place in its time. Good to see it being renovated. You should advertise to schools for reunions. It would be the perfect place to come, party and stay.

Cleanliness. Please, please clean all the windows and glass (inside and out) and knock down the cobwebs inside and out. Repair the ceiling out front where you pull in to check in. It does not give off a good first impression. While you are renovating it you may get a designer to help you make it a little more welcoming upon entry (and this is coming from a minimalist). I am aware this property has been through many different ownerships and the town itself is run down. It was easy to visualize it all with a facelift!

The view of the lake was awesome and the king size beds were great!

The short toilets were terrible for adults and the Continental breakfast could have offered more variety of food, so we won't be staying there till some changes are made.

Location was great as we wanted to spend the short time we had near the lake. I appreciated the way the rooms angled for views of Lake Michigan. Staff was helpful letting us know some of the places we could get breakfast or lunch.

View of the lake was beautiful. But outside of the windows are were very dirty. Bath tub needed to be caulked. Has mold showing in several areas. Toilet seat was the wrong size for the bowl.

the pool are was so nice !!! we also had a room with a lake view and it was beautiful . we will absolutely stay here again next year!!! *side note- there was no sand in the pool also no construction of the hotel like previous reviews had said*

the bathroom in the room was a little small but other that that absolutely no complaints!!!!

breakfast. we thought it would include a hot buffet, instead we found very limited items to choose from. We stayed 2 nights and on the first morning we went down for bkft and were a little surprised to see such limited choices. There were no plates or knives, just spoons and small bowls (maybe for yogurt?). There was no butter or jelly for the toast or bagel. There was a very limited supply of cereal (in deportable bowls) available. when I asked about it I was told that this was all that was available. For such a nice hotel I was very disappointed with breakfast.

The pool area was great. The bed was comfortable.

The breakfast was lacking, our room smelled bad and the bathroom door was hard to use (it was a sliding door). Also we had 2 people check us in and we got keys to someone else's room that didnt work so they unlocked the door for us to see all their stuff in the room (thankfully they weren't in it). A lot of back and forth to figure out our actual room with all our luggage and my 2 year old daughter. Some other staff, I believe housekeeping, helped us with our bags though after we got the correct keys which was very nice.

Good size rooms. All necessary facilities in room. Well heated room.

No telephone in room (in case of emergency need to call reception). The breakfast was said to be Continental, but was, in my eyes, lacking cheese, jam, dark bread, eggs.

The breakfast we did not participate, we wanted to head home ahead of the storm.

Wish we could have gotten our 1 night refunded because of our shortened stay, but it was my fault for booking thru a third party.

Location ok. Could have had tables. Bagels were good but I’d suggest smaller bagels ( just like these as they were excellent) because I can’t eat top and bottom bagel in the morning. Too big!

See above: tables and smaller bagels. I couldn’t close the heavy curtain and sun came in in the morning. We were given rooms that were said to be adjoining but were across from each other! Elevator door closes so fast I nearly lost my balance as I was walking out… it closed on me.
