Friendly, Homely, This is what a bed and breakfast should be. The owners couldn't have been kinder, and hovered around breakfast offering more juice and. More tea and coffee. The room itself was comfy, if a little bit faded. Parking was on the street just outside, and overall for the price, it was great value. If you're looking for somewhere where you actually meet the owners and it's quite friendly and supportive, this is the place for you.

The worst in March really. The shower was one of those electric ones which are in full power. Went very hott, then very cold and then very hot again. I was at the front of the property and there is a bit of Rd noise. Otherwise it was fine.

Great little guest house close to centre, shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely welcome from the hosts, clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast! We were in a top floor twin room in the eaves might be a problem for some with the low roof and stairs, perfectly adequate for our overnight stay. Our friend's room had a private external bathroom, remember to bring a dressing gown or pyjamas 😉 would stay again, quiet despite being on the roadside.

Excellent host, nothing was too much trouble, and they ensured my entire family was happy. Breakfast was delicious and very homely. The host was very attentive, took in my youngest wishes, and double-checked we were all happy. Recommendations for local amenities and restaurants were very helpful. Penrith is a lovely town with lots to do and see!

The mattress on my bed (right hand one in attic room) was a bit old and starting to sag in the middle, maybe time to change it!

Such lovely, warm, hospitable people- couldn't do enough to make sure everything was to our liking. Breakfast was good & plenty of - & always checking what we'd like. Would totally recommend especially because of how welcome you were made to feel. Very comfortable & enjoyable stay; well-fed & lovely hosts - would recommend

There was nothing not to like

Very friendly hosts, the breakfast was great. Plenty there and they made sure they found out exactly what we liked and didn't like, making adjustments for this. The room was clean and tidy with traditional decorating which made it feel homely and cosy. Good sized shower cubicle and good water pressure. Everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Free parking available on the street with provided permit or round the back if room. Short walk into the town, and a Sainsbury's just round the corner.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Heading to Kendal Calling festival can be a nightmare for traffic at peak times. We decided to stay local the night before the festival opened. Such a brilliant location. Handy for parking and lots of amenities near by. Our attic room was brilliant. Perfect for two pals. And woke to an amazing breakfast!!!!

Absolutely nothing to comment on. Loved it all.

Lovely friendly welcome, help gladly given, secure parking for my motorbike, very comfortable attic room with effective fan system, a great pub about five minutes walk away, and a wonderful breakfast!! Could I want anything more from a night stop? ;-)

Nothing at all.

The warm welcome and beautiful room, so cosy and had everything in it I needed. The bathroom was lovely too and because it was my own I could just leave my things in there. The breakfast was incredible!! so delicious!! Parking was made so easy too. I would highly recommend and have already recommended Tynedale Guest House.

The owners were very accommodating we were there to take part in a local sponsored walking event. We had the attic room booked however due to very warm weather it was pretty hot. They did relocate us to a cooler room in the property. The hosts were lovely, breakfast was good and all round atmosphere was excellent.

We booked an attic room as we needed a twin room, weather not the owners fault obviously but the heat was overpowering however they did provide a fan which helped enormously!
