The atmosphere was lovely, so warm and inviting. And after long hikes, there’s nothing better than a bath, and I think most of the rooms have one. It’s very close to the station, grocery stores, Penrith Castle, and one of the many trails that leads right to the lakes. The best thing was the owners though, they were so friendly, kind, and accommodating. In hindsight, I wish I would have tried the attached restaurant, as it seemed very authentically Italian. And even though I’m normally quite sensitive to sounds, it was very easy to fall asleep to the sounds of light conversation from the restaurant below.
The room itself was a bit too warm for me to sleep comfortably. I noticed a heater in the room so it’s probably more comfortable in winter. The check-in time (5:30 pm) and the breakfast (8-9 am) were both on the late side for me, and there was no way to drop off my bags when I arrived because they are closed in the afternoons. There were also limited vegan options for breakfast (though they kindly offered to make hash browns or purchase some vegan milk for the cereal).

Great location, Breakfast was excellent, team friendlly and helpful -Nice chat about Italy! Was a spotless triple room, plenty of space for us and our dog and comfy bed for us.Good to get access to a parking disc as Penrith rules annoying on that front.
Room was a bit dark as faced a wall outside .Not big issue but might be for some. Was v warm but big fan unit helped if a bit noisy . Perhaps consider a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries ? Good it was pet friendly but £10 for dog to stay but no additional dog stuff offerred like elsewhere we've stayed where a fee applied ( and at some dog friendly places with no fee) ..Note Check in is fom 5.30pm and out by 10am .Fine for us a travelling Cornwall to Scotland but if on holiday there or if you wanted to chill worth being mindful of . 11 might be better as breakfast ends at 9.30am

Really good value for money. Accommodation was a good base for exploring the lake district if you want to keep costs low. The bed was really comfy and room was a good size. We had tea in the restaurant downstairs and the food was amazing. Would definitely stay again.
It is important to note can only check in after 5.30pm which could be an issue for other people. Only other downside is that there is no parking. Only parking is in the town square so you will be lucky to find a space in peak time. Luckily we arrived after 6pm so no rules on parking until 8am the next morning. Guy from the hotel gave us a 1 hour parking disc to put in car which meant we had parking till 9am. However we probably would of preferred to stay till our check out at 10. Also i booked it but didnt receive any confirmation, it just said the request was pending. This caused us a bit of anxiety as we had travelled to the lake district but didn't know if the accommodation was even expecting us.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size and it was warm and comfortable. There were tea/ coffee making facilities and plenty of towels. Although we didn't have breakfast, we have dined here in the evening and the food is to die for!!
Breakfast wasn't included in the price. There was no dedicated car park and, while there are lots of parking spaces around, Penrith is a very busy place so parking was difficult. The property is not particularly disability friendly.

We loved the location and the owners/staff were lovely and a great breakfast. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant one night which can thoroughly recommend.
The room was very hot but it did have an air conditioning unit to help with that. Our first night some of the other guests were very noisy during the night but that wasn't the fault of the owners. Our main issue was the shower, maybe a pressure problem but it didn't flow out very well.

Excellent service and kitchen. Comfortable bed and very clean. A superb welcome from Tiberio and the team. Grazie! 🇮🇹
The en-suite could do with very minor updates/rectifications. But it's nothing serious and the building is traditionally authentic.

We had a pleasant stay with clean rooms and en suite bathrooms. Each of the rooms had 1 double bed and 1 single bed with ample space for 3 people. The staff was really nice and helpful. It was at a nice location with multiple parking areas and restaurants nearby. It was close to the city centre as well. Compared to the other accommodations in the lake district, it is quite affordable and at a reasonable distance from Keswick and Windermere.

I loved the breakfast sooooooo much!. Rosie . The Italian meal was very nice at night, convenient so we didn't have to search for a dinner. Friendly staff in the restaurant.
It's just the water tap wasn't working well in our bathroom (you probably need some one to fix it).
