Great location just off the motorway so easily accessible, nice sized rooms with a very comfortable bed. Toiletries are provided white company so good quality. Mattress was nice and soft. Spa pool and steam room are lovely.

Im vegan which was stated on booking but the bedding is goose down. The restaurant is rather over priced it was nice food but jothing exceptional and it comes with an exceptional price tag. Jacuzzi is very underpowered and luke warm and as a couples trip I want to sit and chat to my partner in the sauna but it was in the changing room so single gender. I don't think it would be that difficult to rearrange doors so that couples or mixed gender friends could sit and chat when using facilities rather than be in separate rooms. Breakfast was a slightly odd process. I'm used to buffet style ordering a starter and a cooked breakfast with no sight of quantities was difficult to judge how much I'd want.

The breakfast was very good. Liked the table service for the main course.

Booking.com customers had to pay £15 per person for a 48hour pass to the pool facilities. The menu for evening meals was quite limited.

The overall 'feel' and decor of the hotel was lovely, was very clearly looked after and clean. The swimming pool and facilities were brilliant. The bed was fantastic. The location was ideal just off the main road, however there was no noise from traffic inside the hotel so you wouldn't know you were right next to a busy roundabout. The food on the evening was phenomenal, really was the highlight for us both. The outside of the hotel doesn't do it justice, it really is a case of 'don't judge a book' because inside we loved it!

The jacuzzi wasn't on when we used the spa facilities on the evening on arrival, but was on the next morning, so perhaps we timed it poorly, but would have been nice if we could have used the jacuzzi. The wait for the food was a little on the long side, but when it did arrive we were blown away and it was worth the wait.

The property was at a great location. Loved the spa facilities albeit I found the fact that the sauna is separate for male and female. That aside it was great. Women possibly recommend they put a water machine in the spa facilities.

We had arranged to go for a meal within the restaurant. When we arrived we were told could we come back in half an hour which wasn’t a problem. However the gentlemen’s attitude wasn’t the best. We went back after half an hour and he totally by passed us to get someone else and disregarded us. No hospitality whatsoever. When he went to take the other gentlemen’s to his seat he also left the disabled ramp up which would have been a major hazard on going downstairs for both of them. Still we had not been acknowledged so we left the restaurant and went elsewhere for food.

Great breakfast, lovely pool. There were really lovely touches in the room like plates for the kids with their names. A really lovely hotel that puts lots of thought into making people's stay special. The food was really great for dinner and the front of house staff / manager at reception was excellent.

I arrived with a 1 and 6 year old at about 6.15pm. We headed to a nearly empty restaurant at 6:30pm and were told there was no space to feed the two kids even for a bowl of chips or some bread and fruit until 9pm. A second staff member was called in and confirmed the wait for food would definitely be 1-1.5 hours even if they could seat us due to my lack of a reservation. The reception staff were excellent and arranged room service of two kids meals in under 15 minutes and the quality of food was excellent. I presume this was due to an event in a separate area and am very grateful for the prompt resolution but think the hotel should give consideration to regular guest service alongside events.

Loved the open fire places, all the staff we encountered were warm & friendly, bed super comfortable, close to commute to the other places we wanted to visit. Really close to a retail park if you’ve forgotten something or want to buy snacks/drinks. Dinner was superb!

I would recommend earplugs if you find noise a problem. Sound proofing in our room at least was very poor. Door also rattled if anyone nearby slammed their door or walked past with trolley etc. We solved that by sticking a towel under the door when in the room. Important to note that the reception team were accommodating about a room move if needed which was great (at first I thought it just was the adjoining door which was the issue).

The food was excellent, staff were lovely (there was a dog behind reception which my toddler LOVED!) The swimming pool was lovely and we got to enjoy great family time. The beds were super comfy and the milk dispenser in the corridor was a great touch for us, saved a trip up/down each morning and before bedtime for a glass of milk. Our son also enjoyed his personalised cookie upon check-in. Wonderful hotel for kids and families. Highly recommend!

Only that the pool wasn't super warm when we first got in, seems very nitpicky to even say it as everything else was wonderful at the hotel and you soon warmed up once you got moving in the water.

The spa and pool although we were charged to use the facilities but nobody checked if we had paid, so anyone could just walk in and other’s had paid at reception.

We asked for another robe in our room as there was only one and myself and husband wanted to use them to go to the pool, housekeeping brought me one and said “ you already have one in your room “ to which my husband replied we need 2. When I put the robe on it was soaking wet inside and in the pockets, it was obvious that my robe had been brought up from the spa and it was one that someone had worn earlier when they were wet from the pool.

We had dinner and breakfast there. Both were excellent, the dinner especially. The staff were very polite. I only required assistance from the staff once. The member of staff I asked couldn't help me but he went off and found me someone who could. The room was big, spacious and clean and the beds was very comfortable. We slept great.

The bar is quite small so we couldn't get a seat, however there are sofas in the reception which is right next door and the staff were more than happy to fetch our drinks through for us so not much of a negative really.

Lovely hotel in Penrith. Perfect location for exploring the north lakes if you’ve got a car. They have a very nice restaurant and the spa facilities are available for a small charge. Room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. They also provide little fresh milk bottles with the coffee and biscuits in the room which was a lovely touch.

The only thing was how thin the walls were. You could hear almost everything going on outside the room which is a little problematic for light sleepers. However they do provide ear plugs.
