Great location for our stay in easy reach of the Lake District. Friendly staff and good food. Bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. There’s a small garden area that we enjoyed for drinks outside when we arrived. Comfortable bar area and a lovely dining area. The cooked breakfast choice was only standard cooked English breakfast items, but there was fresh fruit and lovely yoghurt pots as well as various cereals

Our top floor room was very hot on the day we stayed. The curtains had been drawn to block out the sun, but as they’re unlined, it was still very warm. Fans were however provided in the room however to cool it down. A non slip bath mat would be useful as the bath was quite slippy when getting showered

A Truly Wonderful Stopover - Highly Recommended! We recently had the pleasure of an overnight stay at this hotel and were absolutely delighted with our experience from start to finish. It was the perfect stopover, and we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to others. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly cheerful and friendly staff. Their warm welcome immediately made us feel at ease. This outstanding level of great service continued throughout our stay, with every staff member we encountered being helpful and genuinely pleasant. Our room was a haven of comfort – impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed. We had a wonderfully restful night's sleep, which was much needed. Adding to the charm were the great views from our window, a lovely bonus! One of the major highlights for us was how dog-friendly the hotel is. It's not always easy to find such welcoming accommodation for our furry family member, and the very good dogwalks nearby were an absolute treat for both us and our canine companion. This was a huge plus. We also thoroughly enjoyed the good food on offer. The quality was excellent, and it was clear that care had gone into its preparation and presentation. Despite its convenient location, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, allowing for a truly peaceful and relaxing stay. Adding to the pleasant atmosphere was the company of other guests, many of whom were jolly fishermen, which created a lovely, relaxed vibe. Overall, this hotel ticked every single box for us: comfortable, clean, quiet, with fantastic staff, great food, a welcoming attitude towards dogs (complete with excellent walking routes!), and a friendly crowd. It's an ideal choice for an overnight stop, and we left feeling refreshed and impressed.

The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make sure you had what you needed. The Lady who runs the Hotel looked after us like we were family and we were only there for 1 evening for unexpected circumstances. The level of kindness we experienced was staggering. We had no complaints

Stayed a few times now always a warm welcome and always try to help they were very kind and put a matt down for my dog as he does not like wooden floors in the hallway help offered without asking means a lot it shows they care.

Nothing its always good here great staff comfy beds in a good location close to Penrith town and over locations. Foods good and well priced still thinking about the cheesecake.

We loved the fact that our dog was welcome and the facilities were suitable for husband who has some balance issues. Good parking, well stocked and furnished room and shower room. Staff were very attentive and understood the challenges we had with my coeliac disease. Great evening meal and breakfast.

The room allocated no. 20 was below a room in which the occupants walked up and down continuously for several hours late in to the night. The noise travels. Probably nothing that the hotel can do unless it is a staff room?

This time we had penthouse suite, room was spacious, nice big bathroom, we ate in the Bar, lovely meal, Breakfast was good too, good continental or a cooked breakfast was on offer, service was very good .

Not much really , as i am older a grab bar for when you take a shower would have been good as the bath is very big and nothing to hold onto .

When we arrived we were a little disappointed by the outside appearance of the building, the name Edenhall suggested a grand historic mansion, not the ordinary large brick building situated in the village of Edenhall ! However it is a very comfortable hotel, we had the "penthouse" which is a lovely large sunny room with views out over the countryside on 3 sides and a bathroom featuring an enormous bath. We used the restaurant bar on both of our two night stay & was delighted with the quality and quantity of food provided, a pub grub type menu but done really well ( do have the fish and chips; it is real ! )

Lovely quiet location. Good walks. Clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Near to Penrith town. Lots to see and do in surrounding areas.

Would have been nice to have a vegan option on the menu in the bar for lunch/dinner rather than having to travel into Penrith (only one vegetarian option available). No vegan option for cooked breakfast but had soya milk for tea/coffee and cereals.

The hotel is set in nice surroundings, the building itself is mostly modern. The room was large and comfortable, with a new bathroom and big bathtub. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The garden could do with a little more care. Also, signposting for the hotel on the road to Edenhall village wasn’t great.

The village and the room were lovely and peaceful.. the breakfast was superb… much choice and cooked just so… I initially asked for no fried bread due to a past horror at a different hotel but she brought me a sample.. crispy and dry.. what service… altogether a excellent stay

The exterior of the building is a little bit ugly compared to the rest of the village but don’t judge a book by its cover.. it’s a excellent place to stay
