We spent one night at the Sleep Inn en route to Palenque. The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the historic center. The surrounding area was lively with markets and families enjoying the day. In the evening we walked to a great restaurant (Restaurante Madan). The hotel is also near the newly redeveloped riverfront which provided a lovely walk in the morning. We felt safe in the area and people were friendly. In terms of the hotel, as a standard business hotel, the wifi was strong, the breakfast plentiful and varied, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet (get a room away from the elevators since they make a loud "ding"). We slept well and would stay again. Finally, the free parking in the garage was much appreciated and easy.

Recommendation to hotel: provide drinking water stations instead of plastic water bottles.

I forgot to mention - the key system is frustrating because the key card is required to run the lights. We should have been given two keys, as we were two people. When I went out, i was unable to take the key, because my Roommate needed it for the lights I had to wake her up later and get her out of bed so I could get back in, because I was unable to take the key when I left (otherwise she would have been in the dark.) Our Spanish isn’t great, so communicating with the receptionist was a challenge (not complaining - this is Mexico - but it was hard to explain requests). I think it’s fair to Say if there are two guests who check into the room, give each of them a key so they don’t run into this issue.

It’s clean and the receptionist was very helpful in finding us a restaurant for dinner (though you will have to drive there if you want something better than the one across the street) We only had one towel, so she sent 3 more immediately. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. It was also quiet for being in a downtown of a busy city. Breakfast was incredible. They served a wide variety of things to eat including hot dishes and typical fruit, toast, cereal etc. it was a really good spread

It just lacks character. It’s very business-like, sterile and uninviting - and the only restaurant across the street was a horrifying price of $455 pesos for buffet. (For that price, I expect fresh food!) Having to ask for extra towels wasn’t the fault of the receptionist, but still frustrating that the room wasn’t properly stocked. A room that sleeps 4 should come with 4 towels! (We asked for 4 for 2 women because we wanted to wash our hair)

New and modern hotel with spaceous room and bathroom.

The staff was inflexible and not very polite. We had booked a double room with queen size bed. When we arrived after 11 p.m. we received а twin double room. We requested to change this room to the room type we have booked. They said they were fully booked and there was no double room with queen size bed available. We insisted and then they gave us a double room with queen size bed. The room had a strong smell of fresh paint and it was impossible to sleep there. At the end they gave us a key for double twin room. The breakfast was mediocre. The hotel is far from the ADO Villahermosa bus terminal. The surrounding buildings were ugly and unpleasant.

Spacious, clean rooms, 2 comfortable chairs; many electrical outlets for phones and laptop. Very polite professional reception staff. Housekeeping staff friendly and accommodating. Good Exterior lighting, all feels safe.

The room was comfortable and I got good rest. The staff was very friendly and patient with my lack of Spanish skills.

Breakfast was a little bit tiresome, the one staff member serves you a plate instead of people getting their own food. This makes the line very long. Also, while there is AC in the individual hotel rooms, there isn't AC in the rest of the hotel, and it became very hot and stuffy. The elevator was very slow.

People nice and helpful. The room very good and big. But it was not very clean, every day hairs on the Floor. And the mirrors and windows were also dirty. The same with the breakfast room, not clean. And the people who worked there were not able to see what was needed.

the neighborhood can be lonely and dangerous at nigh, but the hotel is perfect

Gentle, kind and helpful reception people. Clean and comfortable room. A little noise in my room as it faced crowded road but comfortable. The place of parking is protected: underground, closed during the night and with guardian. Moreover, he helped/guided getting out the car versus the road.

Everything was as expected. The only issue for complaint is the street parking while checking in. There is no remedy for this, however, as the hotel is in a busy district.
