a fantastic stay at Kampot Sunny Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kampot. The rooms are spacious, clean, and filled with natural light, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality truly made my stay feel special. Renting a scooter was effortless and hassle-free, allowing me to explore Kampot and its surroundings with total ease. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious! This is a well managed standard hotel with a nicely done breakfast buffet. Hotel Staff and The restaurant and coffee people were proactive, innovative, responsive, and then intelligence. Overall, a much better level of customer service than I expect in Cambodia. There is a well equipped, free weight gym. And this is unusual in the city, there is a sense of expensive space. The rooms, the common areas, the Jim. You have space to move around. This does not show up anywhere in the feature list and yet it helps me to feel far more comfortable.

The location is a mixed deal. There’s not a whole lot in the surrounding couple of blocks however it is a short walk to both the Riverside and the pub district and that short distance means that it’s much quieter at night with bar less karaoke sound.

The hotel is centrally located, close to the main square, walking distance from the river and a selection of restaurants and the Ibis bus station. The room is very large but the bathroom is very small. There is no proportion between the size of the room and the size of the bathroom. When you get in to shower, the whole room gets wet. There is a minibar in the room but it was not plugged in or did not work. Towels and bottles of water were changed every day. There is a kettle and a coffee maker. The air conditioning worked well. The breakfast is nice. Very nice and smiling staff.

With my motobike this hotel is in an exellent position. It offers a breakfast buffet with a chef made fresh omlette. The rooms have a good size.

Its overpriced but I can live with that focused on the room's size. The breakfast was boring with not much choice. It's a meeting point for cambodian business man groupes, who permanently take over the whole lobby with extrem noisy talks. As a motobike(big bike) rider I am treated unfair comparing to car holders. I am paying the same money but have to share 4 m² with all other scooters and motobikes. Its annoying in the morning to move other bike to get to your own bike. This is a common cambodian issue, but I hate it!

The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The room itself was extremely spacious and very well decorated, i was actually blown away by how beautiful the room was. The bed was comfy and the room was well cleaned. The free breakfast in the morning was good enough to set you up for the day and the location was a 10min walk from the river. I would stay again.

On one occasion I had opened a pack of cashew nuts ate a few, folded it closed and left it on the side. When returning to eat some more that night the pack and wall was swarming with ants. I told the staff who used bug spray and cleaned off the majority of dead ants, however offered no apology and told me not to leave open food packets on the side. Had an apology and better clean up job been provided this review would be 10

We enjoyed our stay at Sunny Hotel. The rooms were super spacious with lots of seating areas. The staff were friendly and very accomodating with requests. The breakfast had a good number of options. The hotel is located in a good area - very close to the night market and walkable to pub street, but far enough removed that it was very quiet at night.

The AC unit was a bit small I think for such a large room and could have worked a little bit better, but it kept the room cool enough for us to be comfortable (we just like it very cold when sleeping). The water in the shower didn't get super hot, but Cambodia is very hot so I didn't mind taking luke warm showers and therefore didn't ask the staff for help, so this could have been a me problem.

Staff were excellent. Sorted all our needs. Polite and friendly. The room was very spacious and decorated well. Can’t fault the room. Cleaners were spot on and friendly. Excellent price. Great stay.

We found the breakfast pretty poor ( that is my only complaint ) it was sparse, not much choice and cold. The omelette was cooked fresh that was the saving grace along with toast

The hotel is located in a good area, a few minutes from the center, river side, many restaurants. The rooms are large, airy and clean. Clean linen, changed towels, no insects, mosquitoes or other living things and it is quiet. Breakfast is a sufficiently varied buffet. The staff at the reception very kind. I booked for 2 nights because certain reviews made me think, but when I arrived at the place I have more booked another 2 extra nights. I recommend this hotel, I would definitely come back here.

The property is a nice and clean hotel. It is centrally located and you can walk to all the most important stops within the city. You even get a gym for the budget price you are paying.

The hotel is pretty noisy. We stayed over a weekend and the party sound from the neighboring bars was pretty loud even on the fourth floor. You could also here everything that was going on in the corridors which was bad given that our rooms was located right next to the elevator.

Location next to night market and walking distance of water front and many restaurants. Nice big spacious rooms and helpful friendly staff. I hired a scooter arranged by hotel with no problems and good quality Honda. Breakfast is a buffet, when hotel low bookings its from al a carte menu.

Coffee with breakfast wasn't the best. Haf to Pay for a proper coffee in mornings.
