The room was excellent--clean, well-maintained, large, and quite luxurious, a king bed with soft quilted topper, sofa and coffee table, indirect lighting plus reading lamps. Breakfast was similar to most chain hotels; better because there were fresh scrambled eggs and hash browns, granola and almonds and real milk, and apples and oranges. Nice business center. Nice lounge area. Nice to have a fitness room and whirlpool, though whirlpool was broken.

Breakfast items were loaded with sugar -- cereals, yogurt, peanut butter, juices. Bread was stale. 100% orange juice was terrible --thin and watery. Pancake machine didn't work. I tried to use the whirlpool for aching muscles, but the heater was broken, water was cold. I was hoping the fitness room would have barbells or other weights, but it just had a couple of machines.

Beds were awesomely comfortable! Room was good size. Conveniently located. Manager Lex Simon and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during a difficult situation. We will be back on July 22. Planning to stay at Wingate again. Maybe 1st floor this time. Lex Simon should be commended for his concern and care for us and all guests during this situation.

The breakfast was a great spread of a hot meal choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The location was very convenient as well for where we needed to venture to. Also, great eatery spots along the Kalastie Saloon strip where the hotel is located.

The stay was too short.

The room was good size, clean, and comfortable. The chair and ottoman was very comfy. We had a room facing a residential housing area so we couldn't open the window privacy screen so it was nice to have that to let in light.

The hotel was under serious remodeling and I don't think that was mentioned in the comments. One desk clerk at check in was so quiet we couldn't hear her for the noise. There was no mention of breakfast hours at check-in. Even though the breakfast area wasn't under construction the breakfast was bare bones. The bed covers were soft, but wornout. The comforter was ripped at the top. I'm expecting the bedding will be replaced at some point.

The location is always great. The breakfast is always great. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and courteous. My room is always nice and comfortable. Anytime I ask for any accommodations they are met beyond my expectations Wingate will always place is my go-to-place every time I'm in Louisiana.

I didn't like that Miss Adrian wasn't there anymore because she was such a sweet lady but I have absolutely no other complaints

The location was great for what we needed. The room was clean. The hot breakfast was good.

The room was noisy. We were awakened at 3:45 am by someone walking around in the room above us. The next night, we could hear the TV in the room next to us. It was so loud we couldn't hear our own TV. The hotel was being renovated, and boxes were everywhere. Our room had been done, but the work was sloppy, especially in the bathroom. Sealant around the toilet was smeared onto the tile floor, and mis-cuts in the shower surround. Also the fire sprinkler over the bed was in just an open hole. Renovation is good, but the work should not be sloppy.

Staff is always friendly, very clean hotel, great breakfast & always a pleasant stay

A few rowdy guests over the weekend, not the fault of the hotel at all. I would however suggest keeping a better eye on the sauna area, as there was a fully naked man in there Saturday night with small kids running around close by.

Excellent l location. Safe facility

Rear door did not lock. Did not need a key to enter building. Would have been uncomfortable but hotel was really occupied so we monitored visitors

The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was clean and had a very good breakfast selection. Nice enough area that if I had to travel alone with the kids, my husband wouldnt be concerned. We were only 6 min down the road from a very popular area too. We would definitely stay here again for the price!

I wish they would've had a washer and dryer on site, but that's really it.

The Staff were great, responsive. The location was excellent. Breakfast was decent. Front desk ALWAYS helpful and in pleasant mood.

One evening as I returned to my room, a pile of wet towels were outside my hotel room and that no one noticed it all evening and night andI still saw it as I woke up and ate breakfast.
