Our family recently stayed at the Holiday Inn, and overall, we had a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and at home. In particular, we want to commend the Filipino staff members, especially Cris and Edward, for their outstanding hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism stood out and made a big difference in our stay. The food at the hotel was excellent—delicious, well-prepared, and with a variety of options that suited both adults and kids. We appreciated the quality and care that went into the meals, and it added a lot to the overall experience. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy for our family to relax. The amenities were convenient, and the overall service was consistently good. If we could suggest one area for improvement, it would be the pillows, which we found to be a bit too firm. While this may come down to personal preference, having a variety of pillow options (including softer ones) would be a thoughtful addition, especially for families with children or elderly members who may have different comfort needs. In summary, we had a very positive stay and truly appreciated the excellent service and hospitality. Nice and clean room. Good price for family room. Parking not free but affordable at least.

The breakfast area was uncomfortably cold, with AC on max, while the windows were open. (Is energy free or something?) We had to get jumpers from the car, it's summer! Also the buffet is not very practical, hard to move around and hard to find things like spreads put far from the bread. The fruit was still frozen. Signs to rooms unclear, once in the wrong part of a hallway there are no signs to the rooms with higher numbers, which were probably built later. Just some hints for improvement guys, you can do better. Hard to get around the sofa bed when open.

Location was excellent, out of the city, and very quiet. Plenty of parking. Breakfast good choice, but quality poor. Reception and bar area, good, plenty of seating, and well air conditioned. Room and bathroom were clean, and had everything you required, including an iron and ironing board. Soap, body wash and shampoo all available in bathroom.

Bedroom was stifling, soo hot! Air conditioner did not cool it down at all, nor did the free standing fan that was in the room. Bathroom was a little better temperature. Pillows on bed were hard. Because of the heat in the bedroom, and hard pillows we did not sleep well and were very very uncomfortable in the room. It was a hot day in July, temperature outside was 26 degrees, and the room felt the same!

The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Hot and cold provisions, beautifully presented and the restaurant area was light and spacious. The bathroom was beautiful. We liked the fact that we were offered a choice of room. The staff were welcoming, professional and friendly - very well trained. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and we liked the public areas with lots of chairs, tables and some nice sofas.

The bed was a little hard for our taste and the quality of the bedlinen could have been higher - it was a bit coarse. There was very little storage in the room. Even staying one night it was difficult to have a tidy room. We were motorbike travellers - unusual for this location I suppose, so didn't have one neat suitcase. The room was large so it would have been easy to have added a few more shelves. Paying for parking was awkward and a real nuisance when you arrive tired. A bit tricky to get there from the motorway, but quite easy to find, and worth it.

Good location breakfast buffet style limited selection but staff ready to help. Our kettle was broken but staff found a replacement very quickly.

Great breakfast and very happy that it was included in the price. Quiet location with lovely, natural surtoundings to walk in. Outside benches. Leisure/fitness centre next door. Good car park, only £5. Very convenient for the hospital. Lovely, bright, spacious restaurant and food was very good. Comfortable bed, pleasant room and bathroom with versatile door. Able to choose which floor to be on. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Not a criticism of hotel, but litter was left by inconsiderate customers who used outside table near our gf room, and strewn on the ground. Perhaps an outside bin needed if there isn't one already?

It's very handy for walking into Cambridge - especially the bespoke shops on Mill Road- set in a scenic area - breakfast was very good and unhurried-facilities in the room were clean and spacious -staff very good

The room although had a good view of the lakes it was above the air conditioning/heating pumps -so was noisy . The room thermostat was set at 21° so as we couldn't seem to adjust it -the room was warm and stuffy -when we opened the window to let in some fresh air obviously the pump noise was even louder - the pillows may need updating-my 2 were rock hard -so headache and sore neck

This stay is one of the best value for money trips I've made. Lovely staff checking us in, super clean lobby restaurant and room, lovely location. The discount on the parking makes it just a few pounds to park for a whole day. The breakfast tasted really good and was also included in the price which I found very generous. We sat in the restaurant the night before also and the vibe was very relaxed, friendly and comfortable. The room for other hotels the same price was also pretty large. No bad points to give whatsoever. It was a great experience and it gave me and my girlfriend a beautiful night whilst staying in Cambridge. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else in the city.

we paid £50 plus £5 parking the room was very good size with a large shower and big smart TV The Breakfast we had help yourself to full english incl hash browns , toast / croissants, coffee machine with good choice. Room was very clean throughout and the staff, including Marvin who checked us in were welcoming and smiley. The bed was really comfortable and complemented by airconditioning. We chose this as a bed for the night not expecting too much having stayed in other holiday inn express but this we thought exceptional and a pleasant surprise. Evening meal was OK with good red and white wines

Bit cheeky paying for parking but you get a £10 discount per night and apparently this is run by a different company Beer choice a bit weak

Staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and friendly. The room we stayed in was clean and well maintained with all facilities required for an overnight stay. The car park was affordable and very large with plentiful parking available. The location for visiting Cambridge city centre was ideal. The breakfast was very tasty. We ordered pizza for tea and that was exceptional too. Our room was ready way before 3pm allowing us to check in early (11:30am) and the staff were able to help us with ordering a taxi which arrived within 20minutes to take us to the city centre.

It was rather cold in the hotel and we were unable to manually adjust our air conditioning in our room as the unit said it was being remotely controlled. The windows in the restaurant area were open too. Some of the seats in the restaurant area had lost their firmness/cushioning.
