breakfast was very good . with good choice of every thing from cereals to full English selection and always tables available given a good time span for breakfast from 6.30 am till 10-00 am and at weekends until 10,30 am. The whole stay was enjoyable with all the staff being attentive and respectful ( by the way it was our 50th wedding anniversary) which the staff found amazing ........say no more.

not much , only minor point was the room (during our stay outside temperature was 2 degrees) room heating was fan assisted therefore nice and warm above waist height and cool below .

- excellent location, very friendly reception staff - despite the location next to the station very quiet hotel - stylish and nice interior

- compared to the clean rooms, the place where breakfast was served was a bit neglected - very, very dirty plates (one had butter wrappers stuck to the bottom, others had greasy spots, leftover food and even when the staff complained about the cleanliness, they would say bleh, that's saying something) - the used dishes are taken away from the tables after some time, but it's not possible for someone to wipe the tables, so the new guests balance between spots from coffee, jam, or bean juice. - the continental breakfast served from 4:00 could be a bit richer and not just a plate of salami and a plate of cheese and a couple of croissants to go with it, no water for tea, just chilled drinks

In the first night there was a little situation with the room next to mine — really noisy guests, hanging out together in a group of more than 6 people in the room, with music and drinks and slamming doors at 2am (although not rude nor interacting with me directly, just having their small private party). I went to the reception and explained the situation and I was immediately given a new room on a different floor. The staff was super efficient, polite and kind.

The water in the shower didn’t have much pressure. The room was very practical, clean and with all the basics, but had a ventilation system that went off automatically that made a subtle but noticeable sound.

Had a defined identity, very clear signage. Having the reception immediately in front of you when you came through the entrance doors. The cafe/bar was very convenient. The lifts were in good working order and the attention to sustainability appreciated. The general waste and mixed recyclable bins opposite the lifts a good idea. Safety was very evident with clear fire instructions, alarms and extinguishers and clear instructions in room what to do and where to exit and meet in the event of a fire. Very good to have in place assistance for less able customers. The general layout of the rooms well thought out and the en-suite shower/ toilet cubicle bright and easy to operate taps/shower etc. The decor throughout pleasing and the little messages on lift doors and so on made me smile. The breakfast room on the first floor was clean and bright, spacious with variety of seating options from single to couple to group options. Easy to negotiate breakfast buffet. The hotel was spotlessly clean, nothing was neglected, even the menus. I really appreciated that. An unexpected treat when I ate a meal in the cafe/bar was listening to a live blues band, not only excellent but got the audience to participate. As a solo traveller it was so nice to join in. The food at breakfast and in the cafe was good quality and tasty. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and attentive

The QR code card in room didn’t work and the WiFi reception was intermittent and poor. This meant I couldn’t WhatsApp staff from my room with a query, I had to go to reception physically. The heating/ air con thermostat was set lower on the wall so difficult to see easily and text a bit faint. I couldn’t quite get the hang of the instructions. The bed was a bit firm for me. You could hear a single bang in morning from floor above it seemed. I think it was the door to en-suite being closed, I noticed mine took a bit of force to shut.

The close proximity to the Railway Station and frequent bus service nearby. Being able to order food at the hotel. Comfortable mattress on bed. Handy en suite. Attention to recycling and using natural materials to sustain a green system within the hotel. Wooden key cards and guest recycling unit in corridor. Good range of breakfast foods and helpful staff. Always cheerful Ibis workers. Great sense of being welcomed as guests.

Limited menu for hotel evening meal. Having to pay extra for breakfast instead of being inclusive. However, the breakfast was excellent and represented good value. Could do with more hooks in the room to hang coats etc.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! One of the standout features was the excellent soundproofing of the windows. Our room faced the train station, and despite the close proximity to the tracks, we couldn’t hear the trains at all. It was impressively quiet, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed rest. Highly recommended for travelers looking for comfort and tranquility, even in a busy location!

There were a couple of minor downsides. The pillow was quite firm, making it a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. Additionally, the bathroom door was quite loud when opened or closed, which could be disruptive during the night.

2nd time we have stayed here. Excellent location right next to the station. A couple of bars and places to eat immediately next door. We stayed on a Saturday night with our toddler. Very clean and quiet. Singer in the bar in the evening. Nice to have a hint of nightlife/entertainment despite our 8/9pm bedtime! Room is very cramped once travel cot and pram are thrown in! But perfectly fine for a night or two when not spending much time in the room. Spacious public lounge and breakfast area. I think there are bigger rooms but we just took the cheapest!

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Good mirrors in both bedroom and bathroom, and good hanging space. Very good value for money in an expensive city. Checkout time of 12.00 was generous.

Didn't catch what the receptionist said about operating the lift with the room key, or the location of the breakfast room, owing to their strong foreign accent and a noisy environment (reception is in the café). We had to look up the time of breakfast on the website FAQs. Service in the café (on a Sunday afternoon) was so slow (including tables not being cleared after previous customers) that we went elsewhere for a late lunch snack.

Very good hotel if traveling for work, perfect location (1m from the train station). The rooms are quite big. Good breakfast with several options. Nice bar/restaurant servise for the hotel users (24h open)

The door of the bathroom is to noisy to open and close. The location is great if you are there for work, but it is a bit out from the city center ~25minutes walk, but well connected with the public transport

Check-in was quick and easy, with early check-in too through the member scheme. Room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy check-out too.

Vegan food options could have been better, as just seemed to be a couple of pizzas. Didn't have breakfast there. Also, seemed to be given an 'accessible' room, which wasn't requested or needed. Price was a bit steep for one night. Shame there was no on-site car park, so we had to park at Cambridge Leisure which would've been more of a problem if the weather was bad.
