The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are well appointed and beds comfortable. Ours was quite a distance from the lift but ok. The lounge and chill out areas are great and there’s live music on a Friday night. Happy hour between 5-7 as well. Good restaurant next door with excellent vegan options and a Sainsbury’s a few steps away. On site cafe also very good. 20 minute walk to the historic centre. Staff were all very pleasant and accomodating. Surprisingly great hotel vibe.
If you have a car, as we did, parking is expensive over the road; 12 hours for 15.50£. We needed 24 hours. Hotel has discounted parking but it was a 5 minute drive and 10 minute walk away.

breakfast was very good . with good choice of every thing from cereals to full English selection and always tables available given a good time span for breakfast from 6.30 am till 10-00 am and at weekends until 10,30 am. The whole stay was enjoyable with all the staff being attentive and respectful ( by the way it was our 50th wedding anniversary) which the staff found amazing ........say no more.
not much , only minor point was the room (during our stay outside temperature was 2 degrees) room heating was fan assisted therefore nice and warm above waist height and cool below .

The location is prefect, right next to the station: gorgeous. The pod style rooms are very stylish and I loved the bathroom doors and open plan wardrobe. This trait looks like someone has put some thought into the style of the whole hotel: bravo! Like all hotels (and I've stayed in a lot), the hotels can all be defined by The staff. The staff here were uniformly excellent. Friendly (not always the case, yes, I'm looking at you Mercure hotels), helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Special mention to Katie and Malaika on reception. Katie was smart, hard working and determined to help me fix my issue. Malaika was kind, thoughtful and interested. I can't tell you how rare these qualities are in hotel staff. Before I'd even set foot in the room, I already felt at ease. But iit was all of the staff:Saying hello as they pass you in the corridor. Going a floor up to get me ice. Saying sorry for disturbing me even though they hadn't knocked on my door! Incredible. The beds are comfortable, the lights are quirky and fun, the TV is a good size and the windows actually allow fresh air in without compromising safety. I've stayed in every chain of hotel, numerous airbnb's and boutique hotels all over this country over a span of 30 years. This ranks right up there. Well done.
Nothing.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Right next to the train station so ideal when commuting by train, but also very quiet. Its also only a 20 to 25 min walk ( depending on how fast you walk) from the main tourist attractions in the centre of Cambridge but there is also a bus stop close by. The hotel had a nice laid back vibe with friendly staff. The twin room was small but very comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. It was also nice to have instructions next to the air conditioning controls making it easier to control the temperature of the room.

I had a great experience staying at the Ibis Hotel in Cambridge. The biggest highlight for me was how incredibly close it was to the train station — I could leave at the last minute and still catch my train on time, which was a huge relief. The room itself was spotless and well-maintained. I appreciated the overall layout and the relatively spacious area. Although I had to squeeze for my prayers (I am Muslim), it was manageable. The TV and other in-room amenities were excellent, and the service throughout my stay was friendly and efficient. Another significant advantage was the convenience of having numerous shops nearby, which made it easy to pick up anything I needed or grab a quick bite.
That said, the one major downside for me was the price. At £200 for a single night, it felt quite steep for what is ultimately a fairly basic room. While I understand the premium is partly due to its incredibly convenient location, I still think the cost is on the higher end, especially given the room size, which was a bit tight in places. If the pricing were more competitive, I think it would attract even more guests. Despite this, I genuinely enjoyed the stay and found the overall quality and service excellent.

The location is perfect as it’s adjacent to the station and the soundproofing is effective. The bar and lounge downstairs are informal and comfortable and even have a screen with train info on. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable. All very clean and looked after. The square outside is full of bars and eating places and you are right next to a small Sainsbury’s and a Greggs. Not rowdy at all.
That you can’t actually open a window for fresh air or to get rid of the fly that lived in the room for two days with me! Also, some ordinary tea bags needed as the ones I had were all herbal.

- excellent location, very friendly reception staff - despite the location next to the station very quiet hotel - stylish and nice interior
- compared to the clean rooms, the place where breakfast was served was a bit neglected - very, very dirty plates (one had butter wrappers stuck to the bottom, others had greasy spots, leftover food and even when the staff complained about the cleanliness, they would say bleh, that's saying something) - the used dishes are taken away from the tables after some time, but it's not possible for someone to wipe the tables, so the new guests balance between spots from coffee, jam, or bean juice. - the continental breakfast served from 4:00 could be a bit richer and not just a plate of salami and a plate of cheese and a couple of croissants to go with it, no water for tea, just chilled drinks

As we were travelling from the airport for one night, we needed somewhere where we could drop our big suitcases, and it worked perfectly for us as the hotel is literally just outside the station. It is 25 minutes to the historical town, colleges. We generally walked but you could take the bus if you needed it think. Also there is a Tesco and a Sainsbury’s just across the hotel which made it perfect to buy snacks, meal deals , etc. there are cafes as well. The staff was wonderful. We needed to store medicine in the fridge, even if the rooms don’t have a fridge, they gladly stored it in the restaurant and even gave ice to keep it cold on our way back. We also left out luggage after checkout , and they stored us with tags and it was kept safe.
Everything was fine for a night and the price. The only thing I that could be improved could be the extra bed for children.

As a public transport traveller the closeness of the hotel to the station , eateries, mini supermarkets, bus station and taxis is excellent. The Botanic garden is a couple of minutes away and well worth a visit. The hotel itself has friendly, helpful staff and the cleanliness, from rooms to corridors and public areas is excellent. Attention to security is very good, so reassuring for lone customers. Breakfast is help yourself with plenty of choice, so good to start the day. Beds are comfortable. Impressively the hotel makes efforts at sustainability and rewards ustomers for participating, opposite the lift on each floor are containers for recyclabes. Check out time is generous and you can leave your luggage in storage, which means you can do a bit more sighseeing before heading home.
There is a qr code to access hotel info , but it didnt work and wifi is unreliable. I prefer the analogue paper version, which can be recycled. The air con/heating instructions need to be added to paper version as it's difficult to see them on the control panel.

We loved the situation of this Ibis right next to the train station which was very good for us. The room was spotless and the shower was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. Some great eating places near this hotel but a great seating area in the Ibis too.
We didn't particularly like the fact that there was no plug next to the bed except on one side, or if this is not possible could some USB points be added to each side of the bed. There was a bin in the bathroom but not next to the kettle. A small receptacle on the tray would have been helpful to put the wrappers in.
