The location was perfect for exploring the town, about 15/20 minute walk to the centre of town but plenty around the hotel too. Its a clean chic hotel, one of my bugbears is dim lighting and lack of a decent mirror with a plug! This hotel surpassed my expectations, brightly lit with spotlights and a huge mirrored alcove to do my hair and make up. Breakfast and the evening meal were delicious, well cooked and reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we'll definitely stay there again.

The only thing I can find to mention is that I would have preferred larger thicker towels but that's just my personal preference

A well-planned bedroom and bathroom with a safe, plus a secure area built in. The door to the secure area was a little strange and noisy, but not enough to affect the score. Room service charges were very competitive indeed, and the dinner menus were excellent. My Salmon was spot on. The Full English was superb, with really delicious sausages, bacon, and tasty eggs. Parking was good but a little challenging when busy for the larger car owners. Nevertheless, with no charge, it was an excellent arrangement for this part of town. I would stay there again.

Marmalade at breakfast! Please include a thick-cut one. Golden Shred is so 1960s And some Nutella and perhaps a few pastries - but most of all, please dump the Golden Shred!! And please consider changing your orange juice - it was far too watery.

All the staff at reception and in the breakfast room were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and had all the facilities we wanted, including Tea/Coffee and a hair dryer, there were also plenty of towels. The double bed was slightly smaller than we are used to but it was adequate. Our room was right at the top of the stairs but we only heard one group going past late at night. The hotel is located on a busy road but we had a room at the back, so can't comment on the road noise. Only a 5 minute walk from the railway station.

Double bed was smaller than we have had at other hotels. Breakfast options were limited. A few packet cereals and no yoghurt, but there was fresh fruit and juice. All hot items were cooked on request.

Lovely helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Comfy bed: deep mattress. Good location with bus stop right outside. Restaurant on site with white linen tablecloths, rapid service after ordering and very good quality room service. Pleasant lounge.

On busy road so had to get used to almost constant traffic noise at night if you're not accustomed and your room faces road. Good full English breakfast, but it would have been nice to have the hot food brought out only after you've finished your cereal! In attic room hot water takes a long time to come through,so water gets wasted, but it's an old building with specific plumbing. Welcome tray topped up every day, but some hot chocolate sticks, decaf coffee, and mint tea would offer a wider range of options. Maybe a few biscuits on the first day?

I hear the building is over 100 years old, built as a townhouse, and is now renovated to a classic, but modern accommodation. It is located only about 7 minutes walk from Cambridge station. We were given a large top floor room facing the street (not so busy after dark), with windows facing both this street and a parking lot on the back. Quite comfortable and nicely supplied. Walkable to all the major destinations in town. Plenty of restaurants, pubs, bakeries, grocery stores nearby. Staff was very friendly and kind to let us in to our room a few hours before the official check in time.

The hotel is conveniently located for the railway station and the reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. My room was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite facility was in good order. The breakfast was better than I expected and it was nice to be served my order rather than having a buffet style self service arrangement.

The choice of food for the evening meal was a little limited but what I had was acceptable. The hotel is quaint in its own way but because it is an adapted series of terraced houses it has some drawbacks in respect of access (no lift / narrow stairs and corridors to the upper floors) which will create difficulties for some visitors

The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. We were B &B and the breakfast was serves promptly and was hot, good menu. Our bedroom was spacious, bed very comfortable and super modern bathroom with shower. The hotel car park was most welcome and had plenty of spaces. Very comfortable lounge and a bar with lots of friendly faces including the bar man. There was a good bus service into the town, but it was only a 20 minute walk which we did too. The train station was a ten minute walk. We were across the road from the Botanical Gardens which are well worth a visit. I would not hesitate to recommend this friendly family hotel. If I visit Cambridge in the future I will be booking my room here.

There was nothing I didn't like.

It was just right - a room with an opening window, comfy bed and clean bathroom. Bedding was nice with cushions and a coverlet that were white and seemed to have been recently washed. Dining room downstairs was nice with lovely food. Excellent omelette with lots of fresh vegetables in the evening and really good poached eggs for breakfast. Great location and good for parking. All the staff were great!

Check-in was slightly delayed while room was finished off, but the room was so clean and sparkling that I was happy to have waited for a short while.

Centennial hotel is good as a replacement hotel. On that day, we originally booked “The Cambridge suite-TAS accommodation”, but just 4hrs before the check-in time (3pm), I received the following message: “Due to unforeseen issue with the bathroom in the room reserved for your stay, we are unable to accommodate your booking” It is unacceptable to have this arrangement and only tell you that you find another hotel and The Hotel will give you back your money! This TAS accommodation is really poor and this is not the first time I experienced that this kind of thing.

Exceptionally clean and friendly service. We had a truly wonderful experience at the hotel during our short stay in Cambridge. The room was well apportioned, exceptional bathroom and great amenities provided. The staff were exceedingly helpful, providing maps, recommendations and kindly offered to hold our bags for the day after we checked out to explore the city before our next train departure. We will gladly return on our next visit to Cambridge!

Ideally the included breakfast would be available for a longer period of time. The time offered was only for an hour and a half time (8AM-9:30AM) and not ideal for travelers who prefer a bit of a 'lie in' on Sundays. Certainly not a reason for us not to book, but just wasn't a convenient time for sleepy travelers on a Sunday morning.
