Hotel is beautiful, comfortable and clean

The only complaint is that the heater is noisy, not sure if it was the one in the room (211) or it was the unit on the roof, it was just a constant load humming noise.

Very clean, staff was very communicative, comfortable beds and linens. Safety measures in place with key card access to enter after hours and they are needed to access the elevator. Excellent location! Close to everything on the waterfront.

Offering room service of some type. Breakfast options in room. For a $380+ a night room I would have appreciated the option to eat breakfast in my room. Parking is a real challenge especially when checking in and out or during busy times. Staff does offer to help with luggage though.

We are Southerns from the Upstate moving (back) to Georgetown. Various moving and relocating issues brought us to town mid-week and we chose The George. Newly opened and a now realized dream for Georgetown. It's beautiful. The entire town is walkable for shopping, dining, tours and just enjoying the Harbor Walk and water traffic that passes by. Dinner at The Independent (reservations required) was delicious. The staff is most welcoming, friendly and most helpful. We experienced an unexpected event and needed to extend our stay by one night. Kathryn and Charlotte happily made it happen. Valets AnnieMae and Bruce fetched our car, assisted with our luggage checking in and when we need to switch rooms. Sincere, friendly and welcoming smiles. Like many new businesses, there are small issues yet to resolve/ complete but we never heard grumbling from staff or guests. The George has been a long time coming and we loved it!

We stayed in 3 different rooms during our stay (Tuesday-Saturday). Each room lovely and comfortable. Loved the wallpaper, shower, decor. My only suggestion would be to have some way to hang wet towels. Folded towels just don't dry. Towles are replaced each day, but I hate just leaving wet towels on the floor. It's messy and can be a safety issue. We've were told that room wall art is yet to come, but we liked the simplicity and clean walls in our rooms.

Wonderful outdoor bar overlooking the river with a friendly bartender. The whole hotel smelled wonderful! Whatever you are pumping into the air in there is so nice. Our room 104 had a fantastic view - sunset was amazing. The restaurant was A-plus with phenomenal service and a friendly staff. Also liked the personal touch of ceramic coffee/tea cups in the room and the tea was great quality. The greatest experience throughout our stay.

The location was excellent--great outdoor spaces. The staff were exceptionally helpful and nice! The hotel itself was beautiful, nicely decorated. Valet was great both days. Our view wasn't great but that was because we didn't have a water view. The water view is awesome!

There was no refrigerator in the room (and there is definitely space for one) and it was inconvenient to get ice (you have to go downstairs and ask the front desk for ice). The ice bucket was very small and there was no information telling us not to go looking on the hall for ice.

the restaurant - excellent. Really enjoyed steaks and the drinks mixed by professional bartenders

a bit unfortunate that the breakfasts are not served at the hotel, and one needs to walk to town to have one (but the recommendations from the hotel are really good)

The hotel was beyond beautiful. Felt like I was walking in a Garden & Gun photo spread. No small detail was over looked in the comfort of the rooms. Staff was warm & friendly. Room was large and so comfortable. Very luxurious and relaxing stay. Restaurant inside hotel was 5 star with delightful cocktails.

The extra incidentals hold was ridiculous when nothing was available for purchase during my stay. Air handler in my room sounded like being in an airplane all night.

Everything was exceptional, excellent, almost perfect. I couldn't ask for a better experience I've ever had.

The only downside I had was that there was no mini refrigerator, but they did have ice.
