The location is the best part of the stay. All the grocery stores and bus stops are within a few minutes' walking distance. Even the "Junction" of the West Seattle is within walking distance. Breakfast is included in price. The staff, especially the lady who serves the breakfast is supper nice! The room is very generous in size, although the facility is kind of old.
The room, actually the wall could be cleaner (like need new paint). If there is a chest or cabinet with extra blanket,it would be better. And a microwave in room would be preferred.

When I first arrived it was pretty late at night but reception (younger girl) was really nice and it was an easy check in (checkout was opposite, older lady was busy playing on the computer, was not friendly at all). I liked that the room had a mini split. The bed was comfortable. The hotel had complementary breakfast, it wasn’t much but something to get you through the morning.
The room we were in was in the corner where the door to the inside rooms were. Every single morning(starting around 5am), people would go through and that door would slam every single time. It was very loud. So if you get a room on the ground floor, window facing front road but your door is inside the card swiping door; get some earplugs unless you are an early bird waking up at 5am. The walls are pretty thin.

The Grove Inn was very cute! It’s in a great location. Our days and nights were mostly quiet. The staff were very friendly and easy to approach. But about this location…. West Seattle is the bomb-dot-com. It’s a community unlike any other. The way the Grove is placed the sunlight just capture you through your windows and if you so choose they have excellent blackout curtains. There is a Y real close by and so much to do within a walking distance. If you can catch a great rate… book it! You won’t be disappointed.
I didn’t like how short our stay was. There were some cosmetic concerns. Bathroom fan didn’t seem to work. I’ll admit It was a last minute booking so maybe not their best offering. For two nights we didn’t make a stink and spent as much time out in the city as possible. Given the easy way of the staff I’m sure it would have been taken care of without major problems.

The room was quite comfortable. Close to the main area I spent time in with family. Bus and other transportation was great. The staff was fantastic!! I would stay here again!
The water pressure was very lacking. Had to hold the handle on the toilet to get it to flush properly, and the shower took me twice as long as normal because the pressure fluctuated so much. I had one evening where parking was not available for myself and a couple of other guests. It was also a touch expensive for the type of hotel/motel it is.

Location for my needs was just what I needed - arrived late night at SEATAC airport and was taking an early ferry from downtown Seattle, and the Inn was in between the two. Short 15 minute drive in the morning with very little traffic. The room was fine and the breakfast was fine.
I had an issue with the remote control of the room's A/C - heating unit; the batteries were very low, but once I figured it out and got close to the unit, everything was fine. No issues other than that. I told the front desk person about the batteries when I checked out and I received a message from the Inn manager thanking me for letting them know and that they were taking care of it. Nice touch.

It’s a good value for the price you pay, especially having breakfast included. The staff are so sweet and lovely, the woman who runs breakfast in the morning is just the cutest. It’s near a few bus stops where the bus will take you directly downtown.
Such a minimal thing but the bathroom is cramped, the door hits the edge of the toilet every time you open and close it.

It was in a very lovely area close to shops and bars/restaurants
There was a mildly unusual mildew smell… didn’t notice it when we arrived (spray was used) but notice some of the latex paint on the wall was sagging (bathroom and by the front door) due to either a water leak or condensation! 🤷♂️not an expert at these things so not sure! No, I didn’t take pictures, we just aired out the room and the smell would disappear and wasn’t really a bother given we stayed one night

Wonderful place in West Seattle! Nice quiet area away from the hussle and bussle of Seattle traffic. parking lot seemed full but didn't hear a peep from people walking outside of room- woke up to birds chirping. Easy check in/out and staff was very welcoming. Nice clean room, Beds a little on the firmer side but had no issues. Grocery stores located near by, plus the beach was like 10 mins away. Good place will definitely stay again. Oh! We have 2 larger dogs at home but didn't have them on this trip but the facility is dog friendly! Up to large dog size friendly which is WONDERFUL, many places seem to not be dog friendly anymore, so if we come over to the west side with our pups, we'll definitely be staying here!
The Breakfast :( I always hope for atleast a waffle whenever we stay at hotels - the Breakfast area was nice size and clean, the lady who was monitoring the area was very friendly. They had the basics of a couple bagles, banana, oranges, Oatmeal, cereal, coffee. So it was alright- will still stay here again.

Overall a nice stay. Our queen suite had a great design and was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was worth walking through the cold for and the staff were all very friendly and considerate.
The HVAC unit was not the best. The heating unit on the wall showed an error code on our last day and we could not turn the heat on. The A/C window unit was a tad loud when on as well.

A light breakfast was included which was fine and a good start to the day. The staff were helpful and the room was fine. After driving around Washington and Oregon we stop off for another night there so that says it was a good place to stop. A taxi into Seattle was around $30 and we did have a night out in some bars not far from the the west grove.
Earlier check in would have been better but I understand this cannot always be possible.
