If you are looking for robertson crusoe come Survivor vibe this is the place for you! Lots of instagramable photo ops. The beach is a but steep ( maybe due to recent weather ) and the water not as clear as other beaches we visited. Also take reef shoes as theres quite a lot of loose coral. The staff were fantastic and the food was very nice but they did struggle a bit with allergies. I’m gluten free and they suggested dishes that ended up not being gluten free - so just double check. The yoga Shala is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen and the classes I did were great. Overall is a great experience for a couple of nights.
The bed is incredibly small for 2 people especially in the heat. The bathrooms were a long way from our room - so hopefully in the future they might put a bathroom at the other end. You do have to pay for everything including kayaks, paddleboards , snorkels etc The yoga was great but also a bit pricey.

This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! The sweetest employees, amazing food, the pod we stayed in was fantastic! No wifi and internet on that side of the island, which was soooo nice with a digital detox in beautiful surroundings! They offered at lot of nice wellness activities. We tried yoga, learned Thai massage and got Filippinese massage which all were really good.

The whole experience was incredible, from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. The food was excellent, with interesting new dishes everyday and portion sizes that are just right. The drinks were good, if not a little simple. And the beach and huts, well the photos say it all. Dryft was a great trip, and I cannot speak highly enough of it. If you do go, I recommend adventuring from the main beach. The island is surprisingly big and you can really enjoy the tropical climate swimming to the rocks and climbing up the hills to the trees.
The food was a bit too western and I think it’s a shame Dryft doesn’t celebrate more Filipino culture and traditions. I would have liked to see Tinikling dance classes rather than (or at least as well as) yoga, and a more traditional sinigang. I think this would have made the whole resort feel more authentic, and highlight the unique history of the country. We did enjoy though the Lambanog and Calamansi! The brown rice was also a key stand out!

This place is a little slice of paradise. The location is gorgeous - the private beach is lovely and it is also easy to walk to the other side of the island to snorkel at the shipwreck. The buildings are so interesting and the main structure is very cool - you can tell that so much thought went into the design of everything. We enjoyed our evenings on the second floor playing scrabble - at first I thought the lack of phone signal and wifi would be annoying, but it actually felt really good to switch off for a few days. There is a volleyball/badminton net and paddle boards for rent, so you don’t feel bored here. The food was great and it was nice to have different options everyday. There are also some wellness classes etc - we did a yoga class and the yoga studio is so unique with the view and sounds of the jungle around you. Overall we had the best few days here and would not hesitate to come again.

The location is absolutely stunning. Very private and relaxing. Architecturally the hives are amazing and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The views from the bed straight-out to the beach and ocean were very special. The food was truly outstanding and the best we are in the Philippines. A short 10min walk on to the other side of the island there is excellent snorkeling and a WWII shipwreck literally just off the beach. The staff were very friendly and attentive. And the music played was great and provided the perfect ambience. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
A few things I think could be added to make this place even better would be to have a brush in each room so that we can sweep out any sand throughout the stay. Debris would fall from the roof and on to the bed constantly, so the bed would begin to feel grainy throughout the night. Possibly some sort of hanging canopy would be good. A second outside seat so we both could sit on the veranda. A seat inside the room, so we didn't always have to sit on the bed to put on things like suncream and insect repellant. A table to put our bags on, so they aren't on the floor. I feel the shuttle not being included in the price is a bit of a sting. I think charging more per night, including dinner and the shuttle people would feel they were getting more value for money.

I spent three days looking for a place to meet my criteria: very close to nature, beautiful beaches, isolated, quiet, no parties, no children, and good rating. And I found Dryft Darocotan. Even if I don't get to see any more of the Philippines, I would feel that I saw the best of it. The beaches are white and pink. Every sunset is different. At night you can just sit and look at the stars. During day time, you can swim, paddle board, snorkel near the ship wreck, see colorful fish or spend time at the restaurant. I loved all the healthy and delicious options on the menu - even though I'm not vegetarian, I was happy to see that they had one or two vegetarian / vegan options for every meal. I chose a Hive Hut, which was very spacious and clean. Also I was surprised that insects didn't bother us at all. There were just tons of butterflies and little hermit crabs who were busy doing their things. The best part of this experience were the people working at Dryft - as helpful and friendly as all the Filipinos I've met. Thank you so much for being so kind and welcoming, Dryft crew!
Nothing. Couldn't find any faults.

Dear Dryft Team, we had such an incredible time with you! From the moment we arrived by boat to your stunning beach and were welcomed with a refreshing calamansi drink, everything felt so warm, natural, and special. Checking into our charming little hut was the perfect start to this unforgettable island experience. A special highlight for us was the food — every single meal was not only absolutely delicious but also incredibly creative and varied. We especially loved how you gave traditional Filipino classics a modern and creative twist. While there was usually one vegetarian option in the evening, it was always thoughtful, fresh, and delicious — and we appreciated having that choice every day. You can truly taste the love and care in every dish! Your team was simply wonderful. Everyone was so sweet, easygoing, and welcoming — it felt relaxed and natural from the very beginning. Thank you for creating such a friendly, open atmosphere that made it so easy to feel at home. From snorkeling and yoga sessions to massages, games, and exploring the shipwreck — there was always something fun and special to do, or just a quiet spot to enjoy the peace and beauty of your island. Thank you so much for everything — and special greetings to your wonderful team. You made this trip truly unforgettable for us. We’ll definitely be back one day! Lisa & Jacomo
A tiny suggestion for next time: having a few more comfy loungers at the beach would be amazing.

I had the chance to visit this incredible place in July 2025, staying for 4 days and 2 nights, and it was absolutely spectacular. Dryft Daracootan Island Camp is truly a hidden gem. The food was simply amazing – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. The camp is so small and intimate that you naturally get to know the staff, who are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal and special. Waking up in the wooden cabin surrounded by the jungle is nothing short of a dream – the sounds of nature and the peaceful setting are unforgettable. We also did yoga with Haley, which was incredible, and the massage services were deeply relaxing – the perfect way to unwind in such a paradise setting. The beaches are stunning, with crystal-clear waters and some of the best marine life I have ever seen in the Philippines. Snorkeling here felt like diving into a vibrant underwater paradise. If you’re looking for a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience with outstanding service and breathtaking nature, Dryft Daracootan is the perfect place.

The staff was so friendly, the food was delicious and the setting was gorgeous. It felt like being in a fantasy idea of what a beach camp could be like. The main building was beautiful with three stories and a lookout at the top that provided ample communal space to relax and enjoy the location. There was also a big variety in rooms depending on the amount of comfort someone is looking for, from tents to a beautiful cabin with porches, and its own bathroom!
Just remember that it is cash only completely for your stay and that there is no cell service even in comunal areas. You can walk 5-10 min to the other side of the island for cell service if needed but there is none in camp!

Dryft is an amazing camp/place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The huts are nicely built with a lot of details. Also the main hut (restaurant / bar), yoga house, showers and toilets. It‘s such a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beach. We were almost the only guests there. The food was extraordinary. The chefs are the secret stars. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, they always had four different main dishes on the menue and it was sooo delicious. On this side of the island there‘s no signal and wifi. That makes it even better to be off social media and other stuff for a couple days. And you can really enjoy the nature there. Will definitely come back to that beauty.
There is nothing I could complain.
