Breakfasts was wonderful. Good quality ingredients and lovely breakfast room. Good sheltered pool area. Heated. Nice garden although it could perhaps do with a little TLC around the edges. The dry weather hasn't helped I guess. Lovely decoration throughout. Room was called Beech and is double aspect with views across the front and side garden. Would recommend. Towels and bathrobes very good for a hotel. Comfortable bed. Thank you to the staff. Everyone was great.

If you're hearing is sensitive then careful if booked into a room in the main house near the kitchen extractor fan, as it does make a noise during service. The reception team were very accommodating and arranged a room move as there was luckily availability. Thank you for that.

The place itself is gorgeous and it's a lovely walk around the surroundings as well. Our room was very spacious and the staff were really lovely. Breakfast was also very enjoyable

Our bathroom had unfortunately not been cleaned when we first got our room (the toilet particularly was left in an awful state by the previous guests) i went down to reception to flag it to them and he was super apologetic and said he'd send someone up. We left the room for 5-6 hours to give them a chance to clean it properly but the reception staff had to come up and clean it in the end since housekeeping hadn't done it.

It is a beautiful hotel, lovely grounds, comfortable room, very clean and a mega pool! The food was great too - had a stunning mussels with seaweed butter, jersey royals and samphire.

I think it was just a few service issues. Called ahead to ask if there would be a fan as it was 30 plus degrees and had seen the reviews saying would be hot in the room. I had to ask four times before it got resolved. Felt slightly like I was in trouble for asking even though I’d called ahead to check it. The room was extremely hot and when I arrived the curtains were wide open in a west facing room - would suggest closing them in future to keep it cooler. But otherwise very near perfect. It was a heatwave and I totally understand that isn’t their fault.

We liked the spacious room, bathroom and comfortable beds. The property itself, the grounds and surrounding area are beautiful. We only stayed for 1 night and didn't sample dinner or breakfast or have time to explore, would definitely like to come again to make more of a stay. A decent location for visiting Badminton Horse trials.

More attention to cleaning in the room, there were a fair amount of cobwebs in the corners/across the ceiling. Would prefer hotel to not use miniatures for the bathroom toiletries provided - there are more environmentally friendly options. The pool was advertised as being open from 8am (I think) but I went to use it at this time and the cover was still on so I was not able to.

We very much enjoyed the location, the building itself, the pool, though it is not heated (at least not in the summer) and the friendly and accommodating staff! The room was great and the bed very comfortable. The food was also tasty, especially the dinner

- we would have loved the pool to actually be heated - since we stayed quite a few nights we would have liked for the dinner menu to be more varied with more options. After the third night it felt like we dod not really have a lot of choice anymore

Excellent breakfast and fantastic heated swimming pool. Hotel made every effort to make the dog welcome. Much more than dog friendly! Dog allowed in the dining room, offered a sausage for breakfast on the first morning and lovely grounds to let her have a run.

Room needs some refurbishment and games in the conservatory were not complete so couldn’t play with them. Son was particularly disappointed in the empty chess box.

Garden area and front of hotel needed a bit of care (weeding!!) Our lunch order was fused together (I ordered flat bread tandoori, my girlfriend ordered arancini balls - they brought out arancini balls in a flat bread and my order didn’t arrive). Was eventually sorted out but I waited 40 mins for my order.

Beautiful country house, the pool is gorgeous and heated and nice walks both in the property and in surrounding fields

There were some minor touches missing, broken blind in my room, drinks bottles not cleared by the pool and some very helpful but inexperienced staff. I actually feel mean mentioning it, because they always fixed things when asked and it really didn’t distract from our stay.

Grade II listed building that was originally a farmers family house. Great location. Very quite and relaxing. All staff were friendly and helpful. Can't comment on evening meals but breakfast was just what you needed after and early morning swim in the outdoor pool. We stayed in a 'snug' type room. Great nights sleep in a comfortable spacious bed. Room facilities were well equipped and for coffee lovers a Nespresso Professional Zenius coffee machine in the room. A location we will keep in mind for the future.

The staff were very friendly and comforting after a stressful day. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were particularly impressed by the upkeep of the grounds surrounding the hotel.

Although breakfast was good, I would have enjoyed a few more items on the English breakfast, however the buffet meant that there was more to choose from and so neither of us went hungry :).
