Our host met us at the apartment and showed us where to park our rental car in his secure garage. He gave us directions to the i centre where we picked up a map and some local knowledge of where to find the best aperitivi. There was a washing machine in the apartment and a lavanderia nearby where we could dry our clothes. We also used the washing line on the balcony. The kitchen was well-equipped, as was the spacious lounge. There is a lot to see and do in Gorizia.

Nothing to dislike.

The location is perfect and the apartment is great. I have been there in winter and it was warm and very comfortable. Oh the view of the castle from the apartment is amazing!!!!

Only the first day it was rare for me the sound of church bells but I'm a early bird person and it wasn't a problem. If you want to sleep after 7.45, it could be a problem for the noise.

The getting and returning the keys was super easy. The host was very nice, he even let us park our motorcycle in front of the entrance inside the locked gate. The location's perfect, in the center of the town. The apartment is positioned at the corner of the building on the 2nd floor(?) so there's a great view from all of the windows, all around. The ambient feels like you've travelled back in time to the early 1900s with high ceilings, old fashioned furniture and bathroom, piano... All of the rooms are bright and spacious, with huge dining room and a bit smaller but modern kitchen. The bed was super comfortable.

The apartment could use a bit of renovation, just some small but fancy details here and there (repaint the walls, match the furniture, towels, curtains etc.) that would make it look even more appealing and inviting, although I am fascinated by the way it is now.
