The place is beautiful and we were offered a glass of local wine at the villa’s winery. Perfect location to visit Gorizia. Good breakfast and very kind staff

I think we took the last room available, so probably not the best one. Our was big enough, with a spacious bathroom, but with a wooden sloping roof with windows on it opening just slightly. It was boiling when we entered and the air conditioning was not effective enough to chill the place. The fridge contained only water, but not complimentary. Last but not least, breakfast ends at 9:30 and the check out time is at 10…

Overall this is a good hotel that is well run and with cheap parking on the street. There is a good cafe and an excellent restaurant just across the street.

Breakfast was ok but strangely managed; it would be better if you could choose more from the buffet. we were also not happy with the finishing time. We do not like bath/showers and see little need for baths unless separately provided.

Good location - close to restaurant, grocery store & bus station, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and I loved the beautiful big windows and the view. The breakfast was really good!

I could hear every word of the room next door, but they may have been speaking very loud. It got a bit stuffy towards the morning, so I just opened the windows.

The hotel is marvelous, magic. The building is historical and it feels like staying in museum. The location is very central, yet quite. The breakfast was fantastic. Room comfortable, luminous, clean and spacious. What I loved most is the welcome wine tasting voucher: after check in, I enjoyed nice glass of wine in he hotel wine cantina. Overall, fantastic hotel to stay!

The hotel is close to the main tourist attractions. It is in a quiet area, even though bars and restaurants are nearby. The staff speak good English. I was given a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in a palace with an interesting history.

Although my single room was quite nice, I could hear some noise, such as the television and snoring, from my neighbor. Perhaps the double rooms would be quieter since they are larger.

Want to thank the staff first, everyone is very kind. We slept peacefully and comfortably, the room was spacious with excellent air conditioning and clean. We had a great breakfast and the location is within walking distance from the center. So this hotel really is everything you need for a relaxing stay in Gorizia

Historical value of the hotel building. Spacious room with good ancient furniture. Convenient location, restaurants, bars , shops all easy reach. Friendly staff front and back. Gave good information about the town & its history :-) Breakfast was ok, friendly energetic breakfast lady :-)

Lack of knowledge about local transport to Nova Gorica. We were advised only taxi option. For your information, there is also a local mini bus - Int Bus goes directly from Piazza della Vittoria to Nova Gorica, bus ticket 1.30 Eur can be bought directly from the bus driver, no need to look for Tabacco shop for tickets :-)

1. Lovely old 15 Century building with walls three feet thick. Rooms very quiet. Central location 25 minute walk to main railway station. 2. Wine tasting room open til 10pm where I bought a bottle of wine for €28 and a plate of cheese & cold sliced meats. 3. Good cold breakfast buffet.

1. No normal bar - but wine tasting room more than made up for that.

Hotel is located in a beautiful historic building with a great location, just a couple of blocks from the central square and the castle. Friendly staff and a good breakfast for a very reasonable price. The rooms (especially single bed rooms) are smallish but very cozy.

The room and the bathroom was very big, hot water had good pressure. We could check-in late at night. We only stayed for one night to rest during our trip. It was good that we find free parking in front of the hotel for the night. We also liked that the breakfast started early, at 7 am.

The breakfast was very basic. Also the bread arrived 20 minutes later, around the time we finished our breakfast. :)
