Located in Dorio, about 15-20 mins drive to Varenna. Has a lake view. The owner is friendly and cleaned the room all days in our stay which is not usual for stays in europe. The property has a restuarnt which serves food and drink. We dint use it but looked nice. There is free public parking located just outside the property, but not reserved as such for the property

The shower area is too small. One almost gets the feel of the curtain even in standing position and there is unintentional spilling of the water outside of the shower area due to the size. The property is located right by the road so light sleepers might hv an issue. We dint have any during our stay. Also the owner gives ear plugs

The location is perfect. It is just 5-7 minutes walk from the station. This station is small so frequency of the trains is less, however it is very close to train station which is a plus. And also if you take last bus to Dorio, the bus stop is just right outside the stay. The host were very nice and attentive. The lake is opposite the property, offering beautiful views. We also took a walk from Dorio to Dervio from the property and it is a nice beautiful walk along the coast. Note that this location is not the most touristy location, so it will be less crowded, which was a plus point.

The staff is definitely the best thing about this place. They are so nice and smiley. They madrinha feel incredibly welcome and we’re very helpful.

Bed could have been more comfortable. I mean don’t get me wrong, you will have a good night sleep for sure, but if they got a gel/foam bed topper it would make it quite a lot more comfortable at very little cost!!

Beauty, serenity, poetry... It is a small paradise in a larger paradise which is Como. The place is beautiful, clean, with the nicest host you can find welcoming you in their beautiful family and their beautiful house. You wake up to the breathtaking scenery of lake Como and the mountains, you continue with an excellent breakfast (have to mention the cold cuts, the scrambled eggs, the croissants and the coffee), and then you can spend the day hiking to the mountain trails on a savage beach, taking the train for Colico if you want the resort vibe, or Dervio and even Lecco. Everywhere you will find what to do, what to see and enjoy your day which can end with a meal at the locanda's restaurant (MD) where you have new dishes every day and the ribs and pizza's (our daughter had almost every evening a "I tre porcelinni" pizza) are absolutely gorgeous at more than reasonable prices. Not to mention the sweets which are a work of art. The garden offers you so many spots to sit and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine, to read a book or simply listen to the wind. And again, the hosts are so nice, educated and helpful people you just don't know how to thank them. We will always stay here when in Como!

friendly staff, clean room of decent size, good breakfast, calm location, parkin is limited and a bit of a hassle but we were initially helped by the staff who offered us their parking and then found a way by just leaving the car in the next available parking and used the train.

some of the pictures on booking are not part of the property and suggest that this place is at the lake ... it's about 10min walk, the choice of tv stations is not really considering international travellers ... it's not really an issue though

Everything was excellent. We loved our room, the view was the best, heating was perfect inthe cold, rainy weather. I loved the balkony. Even had a piano in the room- which my son loved 😁 Staff is amazing- family run place, could not ask anything better. Parking was a bit tricky because the tight spaces, but it was manageable. Had dinners in the restaurant, very well priced dishes I recommend you to try it! Breakfast was plentiful, excellent to start the day. (scrambled eggs, salami, cheese, croassoints, jam, fresh rolls, fruits, corn flakes, 100% fruit juices, fresly made coffe)

It is at the end of town- very close to the train station, but better have a car to get around. There is no boat stop nearby. Varenna is about 10 mins by car.

In all honesty, it's such a great place. Nestled in a small village of Dorio, a place where you rest, and just take in the most beautiful views of Lake Como. Close enough to Bellamo for classic cafes etc The food was incredible, the rooms were perfect.

There was NOTHING we didn't like! 10/10

The room was very nice and spacious. The staff was very helpful and polite. We liked the location since the area was peaceful and we did not mind at all to use the train since it was easy and fast. There is quiet beach quite near the hotel which was also nice.

There is a road next to the hotel so during the night there were traffic noises, but we had earplugs so we managed well.

The breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. Every morning we were greeted and offered coffee and a choice of scrambled eggs, and the rest was left for us to help ourselves to - this included pastries and yoghurts, juices and other condiments. The room was serviced and made clean with fresh towels every day, which was very nice. Staff were always incredibly friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone, the staff were genuinely so kind and helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

The double bed was made up of 2 single mattresses which was uncomfortable at times in the middle. The room was very very warm, which was eventually resolved with an electric fan, however this was very loud and squeaky which was not brilliant, however it did cool us down. The noise wasn’t too bad however the final night, there was so many people up and about till very early hours of the morning. There seemed to be people walking right outside our room, and leaving early in the morning too. We were woken up by the sound of many glass bottles (maybe the bin men) at around 4am. There are many bugs and flies that get into the room, and the benches outside after eating our meal we returned to the room with several bites on both of us.

Magnificent view, great location, nearby beach, tasty food in the restaurant, nice staff. Nice furniture and overall design. Very clean and well maintained.

There’s a busy street next to the building and it can be loud sometimes, especially in the rooms with lake view.
