Nice big room clean n new

Two things....the doors to the facility and hotel doors should be smooth quiet close. All i heard from like 1am to 4am was the slamming of doors! Also the room wasnt quite ready for guests being the new remodeled room 158....the shower was not completely installed and had no way to get pressure or to adjust for a bath - the knob on the faucet was glued down or something it would not allow the water to just come out of the shower head it was broken. I know i didnt do it im only five foot tall no way i could reach that shower head without lots of effort! But i also understand that the room was recently remodeled so i understood it wasnt perfect. Probably just need a whole new shower head that is updated it looked very old .

The breakfast was adequate for folks on low carb diet. The room was very clean and comfortable, and I loved the pictures on the walls of Iowa landscape; not some pointless, cheap-looking abstract pictures we usually see. Very satisfied with our stay.

It can't really be helped, but the other (school-aged tournament) guests were pretty noisy. It's just a small thing, but it would be nice to have a small light somewhere to act as a nightlight in an unfamiliar room.

Breakfast was hot biscuits and gravy, waffles and your standard items, more than what I expected.

The entry into the guest check-in needs to be more accommodating, especially for handicapped people with wheelchars. It would be a little difficult for someone like that to enter in. The pool area had only a few lights working, and it looked like the remodel of the hotel stopped at the pool. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely could use a face lift like the rest of the hotel has gone through.

I stay at days in every time I come home. I like staying here and I have never complained about my stays there until now.

I didn't like that I killed about 15 spiders in the shower, sink, and by my bed. I had hair in the shower and sink. My TV worked 1 time during my 4 days. And my room was where they ate breakfast and staff got stuff ready so I was woke up at 5:30 every morning.

It was simple but adequate. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Good breakfast options including eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and freshly made waffles. Cereals, yogurt, toast, instant oatmeal, juices and coffee.

The first morning we were there they were cleaning or staining door frames which caused an odor.

The hotel was really nice. The beds were amazing and very comfortable. Had a really good hot breakfast...was very happy to see they had a hot breakfast not a lot of hotels do since covid. The hotel was very clean and nice staff.

The pool was very small. And the rooms had a lot of furniture for a smaller space.

The employees were amazing, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable!! Excellent location and affordable. The pool was heated and clean!

There was nothing we didn't like! We'd only suggest updating the rooms with new bedding and curtains!

Hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, link sausage, biscuits and gravy. You can make waffles. There was fruit, bagels, cold cereal, juices, and coffee. Everything was simple. The eating area was clean, and the staff hustled to keep it that way. Nice thing is that breakfast was free. The room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Bath and shower were fine. Cable TV had many stations. Check in was quick and easy, and the staff was great. This hotel is not fancy, but it's clean and convenient, and the staff is friendly.

The Wi-fi was pretty bad.

The desk clerk, Annette, is so bubbly and friendly. I have stayed at this motel repeatedly for several years, and she remembers me every time, although it is usually a year in between trips.

There was nowhere to hang up clothes. The closet nook had no bar or hangers.

Value (low cost) and stay was helpful and corteous. Food was plenty and goid.

The trash can by the entrance to the building had something wrotten, which brought not only a terrible smell, but flies. 2 of the ice machines were not working. An engine of some sort went off around 8 or 9 pm. The staff on duty came to check but by that time it had gone away.
