This place was great and exceeded our expectations, especially in this very reasonable price range. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, made sure we had everything we needed, including a putting us in contact with a reliable driver anytime we needed him. Our Comfort Studio was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, and had a well equipped kitchen. But what we really liked was the location, a few steps from the best part of the beach to snorkel Half Moon Bay out to the coral reef. It is a very safe, family friendly area, and in the evenings local families would be swimming with their children. In general, people are friendly and helpful here, and most speak pretty good English. And there are great places to eat within a couple of blocks either side. We will definitely be coming back again!

I was in breeze room 6. The room size was perfect for me. It had a large closet and a bathroom large enough for my needs. The staff and garden staff were amazing. One of them used is phone to translate what i was saying to understand me in english. I loved the garden. The garden helped to feel peace and relaxe. I have been to other hotel in roatan and Mame Trees is one the best to stay in. The hotel is in front of the beach. Beware to walk barefoot to the beach if you go swimming in front of the hotel. A homeless stole my sandals when i left them on the beach to go to swim and snorkel. Adam and his family are the owners and were always available for my needs. For instance i lost my room key in the ocean and the gave me a replacement without blaming me for the lost.

The owner provided us with a fully furnished studio, which made our 10 day stay much better because we could do our own cooking. The studio was spacious and exactly as advertised. We were 100 ft from the Caribbean Sea.

the rooms are clean, everyone that works there is nice. the hotel is in the best location, right across the beach and central to everything. one day they even had someone opening coconuts for us to drink. I would definitely stay again.

They charge you to clean the room and the wifi is some of the worst wifi I've ever had. i could not stream netflix or take work calls on the wifi. Not sure if that's a roatan thing or a hotel thing.

Unbeatable location. WiFi is fast (80 Mbps) for remote work, though there is no good desk setup (the bar is kind of a standing desk). Shower is hot and consistent. AC works but could be a little stronger. Some rooms have ocean view

Staff can do a better job at cleaning the bathroom.. smell from the sink, nowhere to hang a towel or wet clothes

Excellent rooms and furniture. Brilliant location right by bars and restaurants but quiet at night. Right next to great diving companies. Huge rooms with loads of space.

The rooms are more like studio apartments than hotel rooms, which is great, but we didn't realise that until arrival. There are not many signs and for someone just arriving it's not entirely clear what is part of mame trees and what isn't - it would be good if a sign could tell newcomers where to go and how to "sign in" etc. But otherwise the rooms were excellent

The location as central as possible, right next to everything! The sitting area outside is also nice. Nicely done bathroom. Good communication.

Would have been nice to have more lights around the room. Reflection of the light on the TV makes it very difficult to watch TV in bed.

Brought groceries and fixed lunch and / or dinner in the full-size kitchen apartment. Enjoyed a hammock on the terrace and great air-conditioning. It's across the street from the beach on a the main road through and around Half Moon Bay. Nice esthetics

The hotel grounds are in a gorgeous garden, felt like waking up in a enchanted land. The hotel is a few steps from the beach and the west end boardwalk so its near everything you need! The reception was a bit hard to find but the owner of the hotel is very responsive on WhatsApp.

I was a bit bummed that they didn’t take care for payment but only cash as I wasn’t prepared and I had to look for a working atm in that side of the island. Also the water in my shower was tepid at best, it wasn’t too bad in 90 degree weather.

We spent a week here. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the AC was great and the kitchen was really nice. Excellent location!

A cleaning is $25. It would have been nice one day during our stay to have a touch up. That's it though.
