After a five and a half hour drive, from the moment we arrived we were greeted and shown to our room by the owner Rob. All the staff could not do enough to make our stay memorable. The bar area had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the locals made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless and very comfy, and authentic. The view was amazing. The food was absolutely beautiful, well presented and plenty of it. We will definitely be returning.

There was nothing not to like to be fair.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the Carew Inn. All of its staff are helpful and genuinely do all they can to give you a great experience, whether you are staying as a guest, or just popping in to the bar for a drink! The staff make the Carew Inn and everything else is a bonus!

We had one day of rain, which was beyond anyone's control!

Location is brilliant - right next to the castle and tidal mill with lovely walks from the door. Very comfortable room with everything we required. Exceptional breakfast. Evening dinner meal suited all tastes and was perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were generous - the 16oz gammon is a real challenge! My gluten free requirements were happily met. Staff were friendly and service was efficient.

There was nothing we did not like.

Breakfast was very good with everything you would expect. Cooked breakfast was a perfect start to the day and the staff and service were excellent. Evening meals, food was exceptional and plentiful and the service great.

Everything was good, room made up each morning and piping hot water. Good shower, so no dislikes.

The rustic charm and the staff.

Only one chair in the room , maybe a more comfortable chair as well? Not manned at all times during the day. Late booking in time, especially after a long journey .

Breakfast is cooked to order and there is plenty of choice. I had the full Welsh breakfast and it was cooked beautifully. Lovely bacon coupled with proper thick cut toast. Perfect. The rooms are very comfortable although the lack of a bedside table on one side was a tad annoying. Very comfortable. Clean. modern bathroom. Thought the water temperature on the shower could have been a bit hotter.

Shower could have been hotter.

Lovely old building with character. Great friendly staff in bar and restaurant. Great location by castle.

The room was too hot. Turned radiator off in bathroom but still too hot throughout the night. Had to have window open in room for most part of the stay. I preferred their other accommodation at Tudor Lodge in terms of the room. However this place has a better location and evening meals.

Nice location , with scenic walks , breakfast we had was fine , also the meal in the restaurant in the evening was great reasonably priced with good portions , friendly staff,

Could have been told what was available for the breakfast, e .g cereal etc, also room we had was on the ground floor , and could hear the residents above walking around due to bad sound insulation and creaky floorboards , would stay again but not on the ground floor

Staff and food where great. Bed nice and comfy. Good location for exploring. Love to go back.

Just a minor point .Funny noise like a dishwasher about 6.30 in the morning seemed to be coming from above. Probably wouldn't of noticed it if there hadn't been some people walking past talking loudly that woke me up at that time. Nothing to put us off though.

Born a Carew, a first time traveller to the UK, and afraid of being homesick, it was the perfect place to spend my first two nights 3000 miles from home! It truly felt like home away from home!! It was warm and cozy, the quintessential country inn! The location was amazing, a stone's throw from the Carew Castle, short drive to Pembroke Castle and the beautiful beach of Tenby. The owners and staff were so friendly and accommodating. The bar was always open ;) and a fun, comfortable place to hang out and chat with the friendliest of locals. The fish & chips were great, and suprisingly so was their Pinot Grigio! Thanks to the owners, I was happy to bring home a "Carew Inn" shirt for my father back in the US, who wears it, and his namesake, proudly. I'd love to go back.

That I couldn't stay longer...lol
