loved the location, garden and room was lovely and spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. We were really surprised at the noise levels, being above a pub, there was no disturbance at all at any time. the breakfast was superby, very fresh, local produce and yummy, with car taken to give us what we wanted. Cant fault it. We had some snacks and drinks outside when we arrived and the Manager was faultless, very welcomining throughout our stay as were all the stay.
The room was great but the green fire safety feature above the door was very light during the night, if this could be changed it would be perfect.

The hotel has a lot of character and the room was a good size with two windows that opened. The bathroom was huge and had a bath and separate shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially the girl doing breakfast. The breakfast was very nice. We liked the attention given to our needs. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night and a snack on the terrace another night which were both enjoyable. The parking was good.
The duvet on the bed was far too heavy for summer. There was no fridge in the room. The hotel is a bit too far from town to walk if you are not so fit.

Rooms are lovely. Really comfy. Room 4 has a generous bathroom with a roll top bath as well as walk in shower. Excellent views over the beer garden and marina too. We enjoyed every meal we had there... Excellent chicken, leek & bacon pies in the bar (25% discount on Wednesday via the Butcombe loyalty app). Breakfasts are tasty too... I particularly enjoyed the Shakshuka. Thumbs up to the excellent range of Butcombe beers too. The staff are friendly, efficient and a true credit to the Mayflower. We were fortunate to have the most wonderful weather during our stay, so it really made for the most perfect break
My only disappointment was the Wifi strength. Its bad to non-existent. No coverage at all in room 4.

We were greeted immediately on arrival by a friendly smiles and shown where we could be seated. We were shown the juices available and offered Coffee almost immediately. My daughter is a vegetarian and only initially ordered a pain au chocolat. I asked if a further bowl of fruit could be arranged (although not an option on the menu). No issues at all and a let me see what we can arrange and soon after a bowl of fruit arrived. My eggs Benedict was as delicious as the lovely dinner we had the night before!
Really nothing, keep up the good work!

Great location, lovely helpful team, room and in particular the beds and pillows were very comfy. Quality and cooking of the food was excellent.
There was nothing we didn't like but the food and drink pricing seems strange. For example if we had been paying for breakfast rather than it being included in our room rate we would have thought it expensive for what you get and there are better value for money options in the town. Equally lunch of a half a turkey Christmas club sandwich, a fish finger roll and a very small portion of chips, a glass of wine and a cider with the auto inclusion of service was £50+ and we felt at least £20 too much. Conversely the trio of meats Sunday Roast was superb and excellent value for money. Can't doubt the quality of produce or the ability of the chef but the pricing strategy seems confused.

We have stayed at the Mayflower a number of times before and this time was no different, the staff are so very helpful and friendly, the location is perfect for us right on the waterside with the town and marina only a short walk away and the room size, comfort and facilities are excellent so as we make at least an annual visit we wouldn’t stay anywhere else if they have availability. Oh and breakfast is freshly prepared and so very tasty. Thank you again

Breakfast and evening meals were lovely - including both vegan and gluten-free options. We had a family room which was perfect for us and our teenage daughter as the sofa bed is in a separate area to the main bedroom. The main bedroom was small but was fine for us. If you're on foot, the hotel is only a 15 minute walk from Lymington town train station, and less than half an hour to walk round to Lymington Pier if you plan to take the ferry over to Yarmouth.

We were really impressed by the mayflower. It’s a pub with rooms above. The tea/coffee was well stocked, lots of fluffy towels, a massive bathroom and they accommodated our toddler without forcing us to book a family room. The view over looked the Quay. Very clean, quite quiet for a pub (although we stayed mid week) and very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was also outstanding and included in the price. Free onsite parking. Big pub garden for kids to play in.
We had lunch at the pub too which wasn’t great. The menu quality seemed completely at odds with what we’d had for breakfast (which was amazing) but we might have ordered badly

The location is great and the staff are very dog friendly. The Bromley bathroom toiletries were lovely.
Pillows are very personal but for us they were too hard and synthetic feeling. The room was lovely except for a large bright green fire exit light above the door. Unusual to have such a large bright fire light within the room. We were in Room 1, great view but also above the air extraction unit for the kitchen which was noisy.

Good location with a short walk into the town and right on the harbour perfect for a nice family break. The staff were very friendly and they accommodated our need for a coeliac diet excellently. (Coeliac is an autoimmune condition which means you can’t have gluten, wheat, rye, barley or oats or anything that has been cross contaminated with them) It makes travelling tricky at times but The Mayflower knew exactly what was required and advised they have GF fryers and use GF flour so our coeliac daughter could have fish and chips plus onion rings which is unheard of. Breakfast was a similar story, homemade GF granola, bread and cooked breakfast minus the sausage. Our family room was more like a little apartment, separated rooms and a good sized bathroom.
As a period property the windows are single glazed and leaked in places. It didn’t affect our stay but if you’re a light sleeper and it’s windy which it was it gets quite noisy.
