This place is magical. Tradition, culture and local art are all around you to experience and yet with every bit of comfort being considered. I would often take a walk around the resort just to submerge myself in the tranquil atmosphere and observe the beauty of the valley, listen to the rumble of the river, have all the time I need to look into detail in the multiple stone sculptures and temples on site. The woodwork all across the site is beautiful, the owner of the site happens to come from a long line of wood carving artist. There are many communal areas so everyone has the chance to experience the resort and the nature, regardless of the location of your room. The friendliness of the staff and how helpful they are completes the amazing experience you get. The breakfast is served in a restaurant which cannot be with a better view. The breakfast itself is really good with large choice of local cuisine main meal and abundance of fruit, juices, smoothies, pastries and other continental cuisine items to have as much as you want. Bali coffee has, in my opinion, very distinct and rich flavor, every cup I had was pure joy. On one of the mornings I had to miss my breakfast because I booked a sunrise trekking tour to mount Batur and the staff not only organised the booking for me, literally in the last minute, but also ensured I had packed breakfast prepared to take with me which was waiting for me at reception at 2am. The pool is gorgeous and I used it always after 7pm so there was never anyone else around and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There is also another smaller pool on upper level which whenever I have been around was always empty. The water was clean and the perfect temperature. The room was perfect and I loved the hotel guide which included historic facts, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading, very good advice on dress code, traditions, etiquette and vocabulary of the most useful words and expressions.

I had the suite with private pool. Worth every penny. Amazing! Staff were so friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Complimentary shuttle into the city centre also a great service. The location and view is spectacular. So peaceful. I slept like a baby!

I was fortunate to stay in a suite with private pool which is extremely close to the lobby, restaurant and bar. The walk down to the hotel pool is very steep … lots of steps - I just wanted to put this in the review as this may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. You will get cute little geckos in your room (well I did), If you’re afraid of bugs and other wildlife this may not be for you.

Our room had the shower and toilet in the one area ( no screen or patittion between them) and when using the shower the whole floor became wet. We had to use towels to dry it so we could use the toilet without getting feet wet and walking water through the accommodation.

Lovely staff, very professional and kind. Breakfast and lunch good options and sufficient choices. Beautiful pool with gorgeous view. The room was gorgeous and the views from the resort is stunning! We had 3 resorts in Ubud and Ulun for sure was our favorite!!

It is a bit hard to climb all the stairs if room is located on the lowest level but in the end it is worth it.. the view is amazing !

I liked everything, from the welcoming and caring staff to clean and comfortable rooms, to beautiful views and beautiful gardens, pools and so delicious food!

There is not a single thing I didn't like.

The staff and grounds/ view were the absolute highlight of the trip everyone was lovely and the view out of the bedroom window or from the pool was mental. The spa was excellent we had traditional Balinese massages which were complementary and we not only really appreciated them but they made our travel day so much more relaxed

Everything was perfect and we highly recommend staying, but it’s worth noting that the hotel restaurant left a bit to be desired, the food was mediocre and some of the breakfast options weren’t great, but hate to sound negative it was a wonderful experience staying here.

Everything! This was one of our favourite stays. The location itself is quiet and comfortable, hidden down a tree lined driveway and tucked into the hills. We had a poolside room and had the space to ourselves for the majority of the time. It was close to Ubud central, a decent walk but 5 mins on the back of a bike. In a car it would take longer with the traffic. Staff were brilliant and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily with free bottled water replaced. Every-time I had to call reception for things (food, laundry and general items) they were responsive and quick. The food was lovely and not too expensive. The cocktails were amazing! The views were epic.

I loved everything about it. The one thing I’d be careful of is that it is not an accessible property. There are stairs everywhere - including steep stairs to the bottom pool. If you have mobility issues, this property might be a nightmare for you. This is the only reason why I gave facilities 9 out of 10.

Great place to stay. Beautiful scenery, comfortable beds, relaxing restaurant, good food and drinks. Friendly accommodating staff. Got the shuttle bus into town for free in the evening, only took 10 mins to get to the town, got a grab back. Used the laundry service and spa service, which was an optional additional cost 😊 close to the monkey forest too

The river suite was brilliant with the best possible view of all units. Loved the outdoor jacuzzi and big shower. Bed was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The shuttle service to Ubud Central three times a day was good. The resort is breathtakingly beautiful and resemble the true Balinese culture.

The breakfast menu was very restricted compared to other hotels visited in Bali. Although they were helpful in allowing me to choose two items from the main course instead of only one, the choice of menu is simply too restrictive. I do not eat any bread or cereals, so I feel they should look into it providing more diversity into the meals. Distance to Ubud Central is quite far, so money for transport became quite costly in the end. The hotel charge for pick-up from Ubud Central of 85 IR was very high.

The place is absolutely beautiful. The location is in a calm area, one off road from a busy street, in the middle of the jungle but with the comfort of clean rooms with beautiful views, lovely swimming pool area, good service, and the list goes on. The restaurant food was also probably the best we had in whole Bali.

A small good to know: be aware that at night you will hear usual jungle noises (frogs and so). We loved these, made the experience even better and immersed in nature. However for a sensitive sleeper, you may want to take earplugs with you.
