I travel a lot. So, when I find a truly good hotel, it is a pleasant surprise. This place has great rooms; tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were soft. The bathroom was clean with quality plumbing. Normally you get a shower with barely functional hardware. Nice heavy shower door, not a curtain or flimsy door. Quiet. Outdoor furniture you can actually use. The owner has done an exceptional job. The staff was friendly and nice.

Very nice and well run in. It is a motel so the doors face out into the parking lot. But it’s clean, beds are comfortable, rooms are nice. For the price point it’s a great deal and a very nice place.

It’s still a motel, and having your car and door facing out to the road take some getting used to. But it’s a small and lovely town, so all told it. It’s nice. We liked it enough that we decided to stay a second night on our way back.

Large room, very warm (even without the aircon), it had a microwave and fridge which was handy. Nicely renovated and done up well. Very cosy place and good proximity to the Main Street

The fan turns on with the light in the bathroom which was a bit annoying - especially because the fan didnt really do anything. And there is only stairs to the top floor which was a struggle to haul my luggage up.

The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional. Very warm reception which made us feel very welcome and relaxed! After a long journey this felt very good indeed. All problem solving was initiated with the spirit of positivity and professionalism.

The only one detail is that I was missing a bedside table to the right of the queen bed by the window. Would have been great to have something to put my belongings on there. As the other bed side table was a shared space.

Super friendly and helpful staff - easy check-in and parking. Great that they had king beds. Appreciate the fridge and microwave in the room. Shower was fantastic. Within walking distance to bars and restaurants.

Would have liked bigger pillows. Like most things in Mt Shasta, the motel is right on the main drag so there is some traffic noise

This was a lovely find on our stopover between Portland San Jose. Extremely welcoming staff. Bed was comfortable. Firm mattress but not a rock. Quaint town. The Yak shack in town serves a deliciously filling breakfast burrito, unfortunately seating only outdoors. (We woke up to 6inches of unexpected snow, so we ate in our car:)

Furnishing is great, I really loved the bathroom faucets and water pressure, mattress is large and comfortable. Quiet location, plenty of parking and a slow power plug for EV charging. Lady at the reception was very helpful with recommendations on hikes and restaurants.

From the photo of the rooms, I hoped there would be blackout curtains, but they’re not - it’s too bright in the morning. No breakfast available.

Upgraded to a "family room" with separate King bed room, and room with 2 Queen beds (though I only needed 1 bed)! Lovely room. Comfortable bed. $25 pet fee (reasonable). Electronic locks. Helpful staff even with check-in past 11pm.

No elevator to 2nd floor (had to lug upstairs). Bathroom fan is noisy and goes on with lights...even when not needed.

This was our 3rd stay. Rooms have really improved, nicely painted and clean and king bed--super comfortable. People always friendly. Nice when on a road trip to park in front of the room!

Some may not like the iconic older lodge look and feel of the property...but it's Mt Shasta! They don't serve food but again fine with us.

They do not provide breakfast but there are good l options nearby such as the Black Bear Dinner.

All lodging in town is close enough to the busy train line that you will hear trains from time to time. Most of the rooms here have windowless walls on the side facing the train line, reducing the noise quite a bit. You might still want to bring ear plugs, though.
