The place as a whole was absolutely stunning. There was a pool and a beautiful gazebo with seating for a wedding, and there was a wedding the day we went which was absolutely beautiful. We had lunch at the restaurant, and the food was delicious. For the morning, we had complimentary coffee and baked goods which were also delicious. The room was nice and clean, and the mattress was great, we had a great night's sleep!

Honestly, I loved the whole experience. The one thing I wasn't happy about was the housekeeping knocked on the door at 9am. We were only there for one night and we were still sleeping when she knocked. Our time to check out was 11am. So that woke us up which was unpleasant.

We stayed in the motel portion of their large complex. The grounds next to the historic hotel, restaurant, and buildings were beautiful and well maintained. The included pastry in the bakery was delicious. The room was large enough and the airconditioning unit had been updated.

They have 4 large motel-like buildings in addition to the historic hotel area. Our room there was OK but needed to be updated. I realize that they are using a colonial revival decorating style, but the bathroom was out of date and should be redone with new fixtures and tile. Although we could get included coffee and pastry in their bakery in the morning, the rooms should still have a coffee maker, microwave, and small refrigerator, something that's become standard in all basic motels here in the US.

We have traveled to many places in our world and Publik House stands out as one of the friendliest, cleanest, loveliest, most comfortable in which we have EVER stayed. They were very busy with a wedding and preparations for Easter, but we received a room upgrade - a nice surprise! The room was gorgeous and spotless with 2 huge Queen beds and colonial furnishings! Elevator to 2nd floor made climbing steps irrelevant... AND THE BEST-EVER BAKERY ANYWHERE, including France! Can you imagine coffee and light flaky pastries as a complimentary breakfast AND bags to take some along?? Just go there and see for yourself. We will definitely return when Sturbridge Village opens!!! We couldn't stay to enjoy what looked like a grand buffet Easter dinner this time. I want to dine in the PUMPKIN room with the fireplace... but we will be back soon to enjoy the perfect flowering grounds!!

Honestly, the view of the property next door was puzzling.

We had two adjoining rooms, they included classic decor, antique furniture and the stay was a great value. We realized in the middle of the night that one of the heaters was not working, but with adjoining rooms we made due opening the doors. Staff at the Inn advised they would address the matter. I'm sure if we brought the issue to them in the night, they would have moved us. We will absolutely stay again, it was such a cool place! We did not get a chance to check out the bakery or restaurant, but did have a drink at the bar. The entire facility was to our liking. We can not wait to go back and stay longer.

the House was awesome and comfortable.Very large and quiet. The bakery was great and the tavern very rustic and charming. Coffee always available. Michelle was personable and helpful.

We came for the brimfield antique show that we thought really changed from 7 years ago. Junk being sold. If i wanted clothes that many dealers were selling..we would go to our Goodwill. The smell of POT in mass. is disturbing...everyplace we went it was reaking of that stuff. Too bad.. we wont be back to mass. Your establishment was very nice though. Too bad your govenor and state gov has ruined your state with passing the cannibis law.

We only stayed one night. The property is sprawling with several buildings. Our room was towards the back of the property so it was really quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. We loved the old-timey looking decor of the room. The staff was very nice. They have a bake shop, which we didn’t buy anything from there as it was Thanksgiving but the donuts on the continental breakfast were amazing!!

Nothing bad to say except I wish there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room but we only stayed one night so this was not really an issue for us.

I rarely give ten out of ten, but this is it. What a gem of a place. A lovely 1771 publick house with ample modernizing and amenities. The bakery is outstanding and provides the backdrop for breakfast, and I was especially appreciative of the 24-hour fitness center. Our bed was comfortable, and the property was quiet. The grounds are lovely, with manicured lawns and flower beds. The best thing, though, was the staff. Super friendly, accommodating. We actually switched rooms from the motor lodge to the front building, and that was no problem. For the price, this is an incredible value. For twice the price, this would still be. I'm staying here again for sure!

This place is so charming. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and the whole property felt warm and inviting The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bakery breakfast in the morning was very good.

The compressor fans outside our windows (maybe from the kitchen) were so loud it was hard to fall asleep. Also, there are stairs everywhere, sometimes in the middle of hallways and the floors are very uneven, which was not a problem for us, but it's something to be aware of if you are unsteady on your feet even a little bit.

The hotel property is absoluetely gorgeous. The staff were all super friendly, accomodating and helpful. We LOVED the outdoor pool!!! Total game changer! My friends and I will DEFINITELY be back!!

We were in the building across from the pool, where the back decks looked over the trees. There were a lot of cobwebs, dust/pollen and some bugs out there and on the chairs. Of course this is to be expected since it is basically in the woods, but my only complaint is if that area is that it could have possibly been kept up a little better (althought it is nature, so there is only so much you can do).

The property has a quaint historic feel. We love staying in the Tylier House because it is a newer building, yet the motif still fits in with the historical aspect of the Inn. It reminds me of being at Grandma and Grandpas house. I have added a picture of the Tylier House below. In addition, the complimentary morning buns are outstanding!

We made the mistake of unknowingly booking the Motor Lodge on our first visit. Yikes! Whatever you do, make sure you are in one of the newer buildings. While the main Inn is quaint and nice to visit, it does have an oder, likely because it is an older building.
