Great place for family, excellent host. Location is great if you don't mind travelling by bus for an hour every time to Amalfi.

While everything is great about the location and host , I found it easier to stay somewhere closer to Amalfi coast. We had to spend 2-3 hours every day travelling up and down and could have saved that time to travel to other places. Also there is constant risk that you may miss the last bus and then your o ly hope is a taxi which will cost 150 euro. So I would prefer to stay closer to Amalfi coast.

The property was spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was also good. It’s also in a lovely setting with a gorgeous view.

There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room and while the bed was comfortable, there was a mattress topper that slid around a bit. I thought that there could have been more transparency around the charge of using the jacuzzi. I had messaged before going to ask if it was included in the room that I booked and I was told that it was, but it was on our invoice at the end of our stay charged at €10 pp per day. I also thought that €30 pp for the meal at the property was a little steep - the food was nice but not priced in line with other restaurants in the area.

The host. She was extremely helpful and told us about all the options available to travel to locations we wanted to visit. We ended up saving quite a lot because of her advice.

The location. It’s a bit of a challenge to reach the property as there is like a 300-400 meter uphill walk.

Firstly the location of the property wasn’t tricky to reach as there was a bus stop only 5 minutes to walk from, also the tickets were quite cheap and there was a bus available quite frequently for every 30 minutes at the stop. The property is located at a height on a cliff so it has a mesmerising view. The room was all clean, tidy and beautifully decorated, the room was also daily cleaned and so was the bathroom daily equipped with plenty of new clean towels. Gabriella was so friendly and helpful, she recommended places to visit and helped us how to get to each place, we even had dinner one night in the hotel and all I can say is that it was my favourite meal of the trip. The breakfast was delicious, it had a variety of food such as brioches, cereal, vegetables, cheese, bread, jams, butter, juices and so on, it was suitable if anyone preferred a sweet or salty breakfast. Gabriella even gave us a choice of a hot drink to have for breakfast which was for free as-well, there was cappuccino, hot chocolate, espresso and tea. If you weren’t spending a night out in one of the popular places in the Amalfi coast but you still wanted to eat somewhere or hangout, there was plaza located exactly where the bus stop is which is only a 5 minute walk, the plaza has a gelateria and delicious restaurants to try I recommend da Leonardos restaurant. I wish I could return to spend even more days in that place, the stay was exceptional and everything met the standards and I can say we left fully satisfied. :)

Nothing. But I think there could be a tiny improvement which is providing more complementary shampoos and soaps as-well as a conditioner in a bigger container and to have a mini fridge in each room. :)

The sea view in the morning was great, the breakfast was also very good.

Not all the rooms have sea view as is said in the description.I arrived late in the evening and they try to give me a room with sea view from the toilet.Only after i complain about it to the owner they changed my room. Also you can not have dinner at their location if you don’t book this first. It would have been nice to know about this from the description. They should give more attention to details, not to rely only on the sea view. The shower wasn’t working properly.

Our stay was absolutely incredible, do you need a car to get here? Yes absolutely but it's so worth it. The view is incredible and Gabriella & her son Salvatore are the sweetest. We stayed for 3 nights, the breakfast in the morning is basic but it does the job. Our room was a little dark as we were on the top floor but it didn't bother us too much. The pool is cold but in the heat it's refreshing, it is on the small side and there's only 6 sunbeds but we made it work. We also had a cooking lesson with Gabriella and made gnocchi from scratch along with a lemon tart which was delicious. There's some places for dinner within 10 mins walking and to drive to the beaches like Amalfi or Minori takes about 45 minutes as the mountain roads are so small and curvey.

Nido Degli Dei is AMAZING!! The views are SPECTACULAR, the facilities are BEAUTIFUL, and Gabriella (the owner) is PRICELESS (She was one of the only friendly Italians I met during my 2-week trip to Italy.). While there, when my colleague and I walked the surrounding neighborhood, we noted that none of the other B&Bs in the area (and there were several) included a panoramic view and a swimming pool, like Nido Degli Dei does. Speaking of the pool, the water was COLD. This was unexpected being that it was the end of June and the B&B was so high on the hill, but the water was a nice reprieve from the hot sun. Our room had a PHENOMENAL large balcony that we accessed through elegant, curtain-swathed double doors, and the bed was comfy. There was also ample parking, and Gabriella laid out a huge breakfast in the morning that included a lot of variety. Although the B&B is somewhat remote, the town center was only a short walk away, as was a GREAT restaurant that was separated from a fancy hotel only by an INCREDIBLE outdoor, floral-draped sitting area in front of an UNBELIEVABLE panoramic view of the ocean. I'd DEFINITELY go back!

The B&B is located in a high, rural area of the Amalfi Coast and isn't easily accessible unless you're in a car or are driving a scooter. I don't recall the room having a television, but if it did, then I wasn't able to figure out how to use it, because I remember having to pull up Netflix on my laptop when I was ready to settle in for a movie. The only other thing was that our bathroom had a giant window, and anyone sitting on the deck by the pool could see directly into our shower. We tried to adjust the window blinds, but couldn't figure out how to shut them for effective privacy. Thus, we showered in the dark. These things were NOTHING, though, compared to ALL of the wonderfulness of Nido Degli Dei!!

The view was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive. The neighborhood had a decent selection of restaurants, the breakfast was tasty and satisfied.

Not really a didn’t like, but just be aware that getting down to the coast from this property takes quite a long ride; and there are alternate day rules in place for driving on the Amalfi coast road that we didn’t realize before traveling.

I loved everything about Nido degli Dei. First and foremost, Gabriella is the heart and soul of the place. She is chatty, animated, and very well informed about everything around Agerola and the Amalfi Coast. She meticulously tends the sprawling vegetable garden to produce fresh ingredients for the excellent meals she prepares herself. The place itself is in a fantastic location with spectacular views of the sea and mountains while being away from the overbearing crowds of Amalfi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and featured a Greek god theme in keeping with the property’s name.

I loved everything about it.

We were delayed on the trip and arrived later than originally planed, however there was no problem checking in. The service was friendly and fast. The reason we choose this particular hotel was that it is located on the top of the mountain, so the view is what makes it the perfect place. No wonder, it is fittingly named 'Nido Degli Dei' (The Nest of the Gods). Unfortunately, we arrived late at night, so the sea was mostly hidden in the dark. And, as luck would have it, or lack thereof, in the morning the sea was hidden in fog. We managed to see a bit the view... but hopefully one day we can return to see the view in its whole glory. Note that the road from the Amalfi Dr. (SS163) although is just 17km, it takes more than 1/2 hour to drive. It is a winding, beautiful road dug mostly on the rocky side of the mountain. Beautiful if you like that kind of drive. :-)

They should install a huge fan to push the fog away... ;-)
