The Inn is ideally located in the center of historic Gettysburg, right on the square where Lincoln slept before he delivered the Gettysburg address the next day. Reserved guest parking is easily accessible and, even when noise outside is quite loud, our attic room at the Inn was quiet. That space is suitable for an extended stay, because it has a stove, refrigerator and all of the necessary pots and utensils. There are butterfly stamps here and there on the floor, perhaps put there by the owners’ children years ago, and a little utility door in the bathroom, just under the eve, decorated as if it were the entrance to a fairy’s house.. The family inside is busy, because there is a little tag on the door handle that says “do not disturb.” It is all interesting, convenient and fun. Charming.

The air conditioning worked fine and kept us comfortable even though the temperature outside was hot. I would’ve expected that to be a negative, but it was not at all. In short, my wife and I were delighted to be there and can’t think of any faults.

The location was perfect for all the local downtown stores and restaurants. Loved all the period touches... and especially the beautiful quilts!! It had everything we needed and more!! Wished we could have stayed more than just one night.

It would have been nice to have had a TV in the sitting area also, so the only area to watch TV wasn't in bed, after we came home from exploring the area. Also, if they could have put the one line of instructions for TV operations on the channel guide, instead of burying it the binder where we didn't find it until the following day. (Very confusing for us non-tech old timers j/s). Otherwise, it was absolutely perfect!!

We had a 3 bedroom townhouse in a secured courtyard. Right on Lincoln Sq, the main part of Gettysburg. Kitchen, tv, wifi. Beds very comfortable. 3 parking spots in back. We didn't get one the first night, but did the second. We parked in parking garage a 6 min walk. That was covered by hotel as additional parking. Moved the car on day 2, but could walk to all restaurants and shops we needed to from either parking area. Less than 10 min drive to Gettysburg Battlefield and Cyclorama, 4 mins to Diorama.

More parking AT hotel, but it's an old town, so any parking is unusual. Lighting in living room and bedrooms pretty dim. Highter wattage bulbs recommended. Also luggage racks in bedrooms.

Exceptional location on Lincoln Square. History of the building was noteworthy. Ate breakfast at a local diner within easy walking distance (Lincoln Diner), which was excellent. Plenty of nearby locations for other meals.

Recommend adding additional pillows (non-decorative) on the bed. The two provided were too thin and the lack of an additional pillow for each of us prevented stacking pillows for added comfort. Recommend providing a box of Kleenex/tissues in the room. We expected a box of tissues at the price point for our stay; this is particularly important during allergy season.

I loved the age and history of the home, and its location on the square. We came to tour Gettysburg, and it was amazing to stay in a home that was present (and already fairly old!) at the time of the events here. Also loved having the kitchen, and my kids loved all the interesting cubbies/hideaway spaces and various levels of the home.

Probably just being summer and hot, there was a fly problem. We didn't request any assistance with the issue, since we got in late and left the next morning, so I'm sure they would have helped if we needed them to, but just a note for the housekeepers.

Love the location! Walkable to all of Lincoln Square which has some great restaurants, bars and shops. We also walked to our ghost tour. Very clean. The two main bedrooms were very nicely sized and well decorated. The third room was smaller, but still good for a couple or kids. Check in and check out were very easy.

The pillows are quite firm, if not your preference, bring your own. The small bedroom could be reimagined to provide for a side table? The parking alley took us a couple go arounds to find, can a sign be posted?

The Inn on Lincoln Square is a beautiful old red brick residence. Its location is fantastic—on the traffic circle in the heart of Gettysburg. You are close to the battlefield visitor center. The property is between Seminary Ridge and Cemetery Hill along the main Union supply route. It is about 3 1/2 miles from Little Round Top and Devil's Den and 4 miles from the area of Pickett's Charge. You will not have to look far to find historical markers and monuments. The Mary Juliet Suite on the first floor was large and had a huge four-poster bed. The sitting area and bath facilities were more than adequate. It is a quaint old home with plenty of period character. It is a family-friendly property. Initially, I wondered if traffic noise would be an issue. It was not a problem at all. It was a peaceful stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was pretty genteel. There is parking behind the house and spillover parking in a garage nearby. Shopping galore is just outside the front door, and many good restaurants are within a block or a short walk. Some tried: Breakfast: One Lincoln is in front of the Inn. This is an excellent restaurant for breakfast and lunch. They feature healthy and traditional fare, which is a wonderful breakfast choice. The service is polished and attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable. I had breakfast and lunch there, with breakfast being the standout. There were groups of local professors and other people from town there at lunch. That is generally a very good sign. Gettysburg Baking Company: This bakery offers Outstanding pastries and sandwiches. It also has a sitting area and, of course, takeout. The food is amazing as is the service. Lunch/Dinner: The Sign of the Buck has a nice, clean, and cozy atmosphere. The inventive menu uses many locally sourced ingredients. Small bites are a good bet in the afternoon, and the service is efficient.

I did not have any issues with the facilities, the location, or anything else of note. It was a hassle-free stay.

The Inn is well located in the center of town with convenient parking at the Inn and a parking garage nearby. We were warned that the location might be noisy but we were at the rear of the property and noise was not a problem. The owners happened to be there when we arrived and were most welcoming and helpful as we moved in. Be aware this is an 1860’s house with some things common to houses of that era – a narrow, low ceiling hallway and slightly steep, narrow, and creaky stairs. The apartment is clean and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable though the one in the back bedroom was much too soft for me. The bathroom is small but the water is hot and towels were plentiful. The kitchen and eating area are spacious with a large table and plenty of chairs. Several pubs and restaurants are within walking distance. (Highly recommend the Lincoln Diner for quality, quantity, and price!)

You must go through the bedroom at the top of the stairs to get to the other two bedrooms and bath (Don’t put a light sleeper at the top of the stairs!). Lighting was dim all over the apartment - no good place to put on makeup. The kitchen wasn’t as well stocked as some places we have stayed – no cookie sheet, no griddle, no large skillet, only one medium mixing bowl. Fortunately I had tucked in some of my own cookware just in case. We love to prepare some of our own meals but maybe most visitors aren’t into cooking?

Located right in the middle of Gettysburg, walking distance to lots of boutiques and dining options. We stayed in the Irene, which was a giant room, more like an efficiency apartment. We recommend the Lincoln Diner for breakfast, and Tania's Mexican Restaurant & Store for authentic Mexican food. At first, it seemed like it would be noisy (there are especially a lot of motorcycles that like to rev around the circle), but everything quieted down in the evening.

Super clean facility. Big rooms. The kitchenette was a big plus for us as we do not like to eat in restaurants for every meal. It is conveniently located on the square in Gettysburg and very close to shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Mind you, we are a younger couple so WE didn’t care, but be prepared, from the room we stayed in (first floor, windows right out to the square) you will be able to hear tours, music, and general hustle and bustle. This might not be for everyone, but we enjoyed it. Did not affect you once you went back to the bedroom.
