Loved this hostel. Charming, quiet, welcoming and calming. Much like the town of Gyeongju. Big and comfortable beds, clean and fresh everything including showers and toilets. Good location to access all the good bits of town. Great breakfast of eggs(which you can cook however you like), cereal, bread, nuts, etc. But my favourite was the lovely and kind man behind reception who went out of his way to organise a way for me to watch a golf tournament!

If I had to pick something the room was maybe a tiny bit stuffy. Oh and no lift, only stairs. Struggled a bit with my bad back but not too bad as it's only 1 floor.

We stayed in a private room with 3 people. We had an amazing stay. The staff was very friendly, and the property had everything you needed. If you come by KTX, the bus stops at a 2 min walk from the hostel. It’s a 5-10 min walk from the Daereungwon-tombs, from where you can start your walking tour, seeing all the highlights of Gyeonju. There’s also a 7/11 right across the street. Even if the host was not at the reception area, you could reach him by WhatsApp, opened on a computer on the counter. The included breakfast was wonderful as well. After check-out, you can store your bags (for free!) in the bakery on the groundfloor.

Blueboat was the perfect guesthouse place to stay and spend time in Gyeongju.. close to local cultural areas and a local bus away to the express bus station and museums.. although I walked everywhere with no problem..nothing is that far, including the main town. Breakfast was great and everywhere was very organized and clean.

Personally, checking in was really easy although I missed the chance to chat with someone at the reception on arrival. but that's no reason to down grade my stay. It was perfect.

This hostel was easy to find, and the staff communicated well with me before my visit. The rooms have big lockers and modern beds, the breakfast is the best that I had in Korea, and the temperature of the room was comfortable.

They could use one more toilet in the men's bathroom to avoid potential crowding during busier times of year, and you're supposed to throw used toilet paper in a wastebasket rather than in the toilet itself, which is unsanitary. My other issue was with the AirBnB right next to my room: a group of people partying there kept me up all night, and they were smoking right outside of my window.

It was a room with four beds in it, but the blinds around the bunks made it very quiet and gave privacy. I slept a lot better than in any other dorm before! The shared breakfast area was amazing, it was clean, there was access to food to cook for yourself, and because it was pleasant to sit in, people started chatting. I got some good tips for local attractions to see. Because there was a problem with my train, I arrived very late, but after I informed the hostel, there was a very lovely elderly waiting for me on the street outside (at 11 o'clock!), who showed me around, helped me with everything and was generally very sweet and kind.

The shared bathroom facilities were only clean-ish, and very damp. But this is more information for other people for whom that is very important, I really thought it was fine, especially for the price. Would go again.

The staff is very friendly and the Hostel boasts a cool communal area to meet other travelers while breakfast or in the evening. Location is near the sights of the City, so you do Not have to take a Bus to get around. Dorms are quiet and there is enough privacy thanks to curtains.

Still, there are two Main Points to Improve: After 11 pm you should Go to your room and the light and AC in the communal area is turned off. That is quite early in my Opinion and there is no other Option to contine to Talk with other Travellers. Second, the bathroom smells quite Bad, I do Not know why, but that is a big issue in my opinion. One toilet is also a Bit less for so many people, but this was Not a big Problem when I was there.

The location is just awesome. It's very close to the bus stop and most of the tourist attractions are within walkable distance. The rooms are great. They have hangers, a small bag and multiple lockers for each bunk. The breakfast is pretty good.

The shower and toilet cubicles are extremely limited though. There's not much of a common area, it's just a kitchen table. Also, the number of charging ports in the common area is limited. They do laundry just once a day and most of the time you won't find anyone at the reception, so you'll have to go down to the store downstairs if you need any help.

The lady working at the hostel is very nice and helpful! If you a question, just ask her, she has very good advice. Her kindness made my stay a lot more enjoyable ^^. Also, the hostel is very well located. You can walk to the tomb complex and the observatory in 15 minutes, and from there get to the bridge and the hanok village very quickly (practical to see attractions at night!). If you haven't booked a transportation ticket yet, I recommend coming by bus because the hostel is a little far from the train station (Singyeongju station around 40min bus ride) while it is only a 25 minute walk from the two bus terminals (right next to each other) or a 5 minute taxi ride (~3500 wons from experience). There is a CU about 1min walk from the hostel as well. The place is very clean and the beds are great!

My stay was amazing but there was one thing I disliked. The staff cleans from 11am to 3pm and you can't stay in the hostel during that time. In itself, it's fine but when I was there it was very hot outside so sometimes it was hard to stay out in the afternoon.

I loved my stay at Blueboat Hostel in Gyeongju. Very clean, calm and conveniently located. The hostel is quite modern and offers a comfortable setting. Breakfast served in the hostel is very good. Also, laundry can be made by the staff within 3 hours, which is a game changer. Thank you Rosso for the stay!

The only thing that I should mention is that there is no common area per se, aside from the kitchen table. Therefore, it can be a bit frustrating if you are looking to meet other people.

The hostel is really close to the tombs. It is just a few walking minutes away. You can also reach it easily via bus. Sleeping Was confortable, but in the first night it was way too hot. Showers were also fine, but only two where not enough for all the people. With the community room in the center of all rooms no real "Hostel atmosphere" was created. Small point deduction for that, as well as one of two hosts not being very friendly.
