Excellent location in the very centre of Gyeongju hanok village, in the vicinity of numerous restaurants, cafés and historical places to visit. Staying in Namuae, you can savour the atmosphere of a very traditional Korean housing style. The hosts are a very friendly open and hospitable couple. The lady is an artist, a dancer and a singer with an awesome powerful opera voice. We had a privilege to listen to her perform the song "O sole mio" during one of our breakfasts there. It was a real pleasure. We also enjoyed good coffee and good breakfast there.

An extremely cold bathroom, however, I need to mention that my kids say I'm oversensitive to cold, so my opinion may not be very objective.

If you are thinking to visit Gyeongju and you want to live the experience to sleep in a traditional Hanok, this is perfect for you. It's very well located and the room has air conditioning, a little fridge, a kettle, a television and you can live the experience to sleep on a futon. The breakfast has fruit, cereals, milk, toasted bread, boiled eggs,. coffee, tea. All you need to begin the day with energy. The hostesses are very kind and friendly, especially her who is a wonderful woman, so in my personal opinion is a wonderful place in Gyeongju if you want to live a local experience.

Namuae is a great Hanok experience. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, the lady of the house sang for us one morning and she has an amazing voice. The futon was more comfortable than we initially thought it would be however the double futon wasn't very wide so we probably would have been better off with twin bedding. The breakfast was good and starts at 8:30am. The location is excellent, we walked everywhere and there are lots of eating options nearby.

There wasn't any comfortable seating, there were two stools in the tiny kitchen but they weren't very comfortable. The only other option was to sit on the floor. Having said that, there really isn't any room for chairs.

We enjoyed the genius loci of the place - the historical center of Gyeongju. The host was waiting for us as we indicated late arrival. Check-in was perfect as well as the whole stay. We also enjoyed the breakfast because of a wonderfull surprise of our host. She used to be a dancer and during the breakfast she showed us traditional Korean drums and presented different Korean rythms and dance steps. That was marvelous start up of the day - absolutely fitting to the historical place of Gyeongju.

We had a lovely stay at this traditional hanok lodging. The owners were very warm and welcoming. One of the owners is an accomplished traditional Korean dancer and singer. It was Buddha's birthday. At breakfast we were treated to an impromptu lesson on using a traditional drum and then she sung a beautiful piece for us. They also have the cutest little dog and pussy cat that will happily accept your attention if you give it to them. Being a Westerner we found the traditional beds quite firm however our room also had a 'normal' bed one could use. Facilities were basic as one would expect but nicely decorated in hanok fashion. The location couldn't be better for visiting the sights and wandering through the village.

We enjoyed our stay in this traditional guesthouse. The location was perfect, right in the center with lots of restaurants, shops, buzzing with life. And yet it was remarkably quiet. The cultural attractions, Tumuli, Palace, National Museum, were in easy walking distance. The room and bedding was comfortable the facilities fine. There was a common entry area with a fridge, water cooker, dishes, countertops, high chairs and a sink, shared by two rooms. The breakfast was fine, with toast, eggs, and marmalade. We liked the atmosphere, and the hosts were very nice. We loved the lady singing for us, she has a wonderful opera voice.

A little nightstand between the two twin beds would have been nice. We just used one of the highchairs from the kitchenette :-)

Lovely place in the heart of the historic part of Gyeongju. Walking distance to all tombs and temples you would like to see. Restaurants and cute cafés are next door and in the streets nearby. The owners are really nice and our son loved the cat in the garden. We had a room with a double futon on the floor and a regular single bed. There was a fridge in the room, water cooker and bathroom. The breakfast was simple western style and we got a music lesson during breakfast time. We have enjoyed our stay very much.

The breakfast was simple (cold boiled eggs, White toast, jam, cornflakes). Maybe some yoghurt, brown toast, cheese or meat would make it somewhat more filling.

This is a restored and expanded traditional Korean house that offers bed and breakfast, with cultural experience. It is ran by a retired university professor and his wife with passion. The wife, while still active in her career, is also the lady host the of house. She engaged us during breakfast and showcased to us her peronal collection of traditonal Korean costumes and musical instruments. The room we stayed in has ensuite toilet, not usual for a traditional Korean house. The house is in the bustling old town area with many cafe, restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to the Gyeongju monuments.

Be prepared to drag your luggage as the house is not accessible by taxi.

The hosts were friendly and caring and our room reflected their care and attention. The guesthouse has the charm of an old hanok and the location is extremely convenient to many of Gyeongju's historical attractions as well as many places to eat and shop. Breakfast was a simple western-style continental with toast, hard-boiled eggs, and fruits as well as tea and coffee. As long as you go in with the proper expectations (it's a charismatic old house, not a modern 5-star hotel) then you will not be disappointed!

It would have been nice if there were some decorations on the walls of our room to liven it up a bit. The room was a bit drab, albeit comfortable with plenty of space.

Really enjoyed my stay here :) The hosts are very nice, and the woman has an incredible voice. The building is very beautiful, especially in the sunlight. I really liked my room also (forgot to take a photo), and the bed is very comfortable. The location is great and you're central to most of the things in Gyeongju. They also have the cutest cat - and I think the cat should be a reason enough to stay here. Thank you for the welcome stay!
