Excellent location in the very centre of Gyeongju hanok village, in the vicinity of numerous restaurants, cafés and historical places to visit. Staying in Namuae, you can savour the atmosphere of a very traditional Korean housing style. The hosts are a very friendly open and hospitable couple. The lady is an artist, a dancer and a singer with an awesome powerful opera voice. We had a privilege to listen to her perform the song "O sole mio" during one of our breakfasts there. It was a real pleasure. We also enjoyed good coffee and good breakfast there.

An extremely cold bathroom, however, I need to mention that my kids say I'm oversensitive to cold, so my opinion may not be very objective.

At this accommodation, we had futon beds, which were very comfortable. The room had air conditioning and a small kitchenette equipped with dishes, an electric kettle, and a refrigerator. The bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer, and towels. We really appreciated that the owner kindly adjusted to our later arrival time. We had breakfast included, which was apparently prepared by the owner. During breakfast, she even sang opera for us — it was such an unusual and fascinating experience! She was very kind and helpful; even though we could have made our own tea or coffee, she insisted on doing it for us. We also got to taste local fruit that only grows in this region, which was a lovely touch.

The room couldn’t be locked, and we had to be careful not to make too much noise, as the walls were quite thin — it was easy to hear the guests next door.

If you are thinking to visit Gyeongju and you want to live the experience to sleep in a traditional Hanok, this is perfect for you. It's very well located and the room has air conditioning, a little fridge, a kettle, a television and you can live the experience to sleep on a futon. The breakfast has fruit, cereals, milk, toasted bread, boiled eggs,. coffee, tea. All you need to begin the day with energy. The hostesses are very kind and friendly, especially her who is a wonderful woman, so in my personal opinion is a wonderful place in Gyeongju if you want to live a local experience.

Namuae is a great Hanok experience. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, the lady of the house sang for us one morning and she has an amazing voice. The futon was more comfortable than we initially thought it would be however the double futon wasn't very wide so we probably would have been better off with twin bedding. The breakfast was good and starts at 8:30am. The location is excellent, we walked everywhere and there are lots of eating options nearby.

There wasn't any comfortable seating, there were two stools in the tiny kitchen but they weren't very comfortable. The only other option was to sit on the floor. Having said that, there really isn't any room for chairs.

We enjoyed the genius loci of the place - the historical center of Gyeongju. The host was waiting for us as we indicated late arrival. Check-in was perfect as well as the whole stay. We also enjoyed the breakfast because of a wonderfull surprise of our host. She used to be a dancer and during the breakfast she showed us traditional Korean drums and presented different Korean rythms and dance steps. That was marvelous start up of the day - absolutely fitting to the historical place of Gyeongju.

The room was great, and it really goes with the vibe of Gyeongju. I really, really loved that I stayed here - it's just 2 minutes from the things you want to see here, and it fits the Korean vibe in the best possible way. It's not as comfortable as a hotel room of course, but it was amazing for one night we spent in Gyeongju. The host is also very pleasant, and the room very clean.

I really loved everything, and it completely met my expectations.

Lovely guest house. Owners were lovely. Very cute little courtyard. Great location. The owner called us a taxi when we left. The lady owner showed us her singing and musical talents at breakfast!

Some cotton sheets/thin duvet would have been nice. The bedcover and quilt were nylon type material so quite hot and sweaty. Shared kitchen facilities shared by our room and one other. There weren’t any mugs so had to use glasses for coffee. And very little cutlery.

It is cute and in a very convenient location. The owner and wife were very helpful and made it easy for me to store more luggage to explore after checkout.

I originally booked a room with a bed, but something went wrong with my reservation and I was asked to switch rooms. I ended up with a room with futons - these were thin pads and not futons. I folded two in half and placed on a fifth layer with a comforter to be comfortable.

Very traditional and quaint, it was novelty to sleep in a korean hanok and totally recommend it, it was very cosy and comfortable, had all the amenities. The hosts were fantastic, showed us the korean fan dance and the lady sang opera as she was a korean dancer, incredible. Our girls loved the cat too. The ambiance and Gyeongju was lovely. Went to the Wooji pond at sunset, what breathtaking experience!

We had a lovely stay at this traditional hanok lodging. The owners were very warm and welcoming. One of the owners is an accomplished traditional Korean dancer and singer. It was Buddha's birthday. At breakfast we were treated to an impromptu lesson on using a traditional drum and then she sung a beautiful piece for us. They also have the cutest little dog and pussy cat that will happily accept your attention if you give it to them. Being a Westerner we found the traditional beds quite firm however our room also had a 'normal' bed one could use. Facilities were basic as one would expect but nicely decorated in hanok fashion. The location couldn't be better for visiting the sights and wandering through the village.
