This was our first Motel stay in New Zealand and we could not have been more delighted with the experience. Our room was spotlessly clean, well designed and very comfortable. Sonia and Phil were so very helpful and gave an excellent eatery recommendation for our evening meal. It is worth mentioning that the housekeeping staff were as welcoming and cheerful as Phil and Sonia. A very happy team - speaks volumes.

We had an excellent short stay at Stopforths Motel . The owner was very friendly and show us all the best eateries and things to do in the area. The room was immaculate with a very comfortable large bed, a well stocked bathroom with a powerful hot shower. The kitchen has all the utensils you could need, with a large selection of hot drinks. Highly recommended

Nicely updated, super comfortable bed and comfortable room with well equipped kitchenette. Quiet location but only a short walk into town.

The room was listed as having a washing machine but it was in the motel laundry and there was a charge for use. Not a major issue but room listing was certainly ambiguous. We felt it was pretty expensive for a motel (albeit a very nicely updated one).

Wonderful stay at Stopforths Motel!!! Rooms are relatively modern and clean, well equipped, and spacious enough for our family of 3. Option for connected rooms with our extended family. Service is 5-star. Sonia is amazing, from providing recommendations at check-in and preparing the perfect breakfast. Really appreciate the staff for working hard over the holiday season. We considered booking a seemingly older accommodation that’s nearer to town/beach but so glad we stayed with Stopforths instead.

I was immediately impressed upon entering the room. It felt nice and refreshing. The accommodation was very clean, modern, and of excellent quality. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. The host was fantastic as well, when my family friend got sunburnt, they kindly offered something to help ease the discomfort.

Fridge not cold enough. The same bottle is used for both hand wash and body wash so need to move it in and out of the shower room. Not enough holder for shower toiletries.

Room was great. A step up from many of the other motels and hotels that we've stayed in. A good size room, good bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Good little kitchenette, just right for a short stay.Just a short walk to the town centre, that was an unexpectedly interesting little town. Well worth a stop over.

EXCELLENT. Lovely, find everything you need, everything for cooking facilities, even a dishwasher with powder , and an extractor hood ; very good location, very quiet , no noise, even if not far from city center which is walkable. Warm welcoming. Very confortable, Extremely clean, very good bed, large room lot of space. Nice bathroom with good quality and nice shower.

We had a confortable stay at this hotel. The bed was very soft and comfortable, and the room was extremely clean. It was well-equipped with a microwave and cookware, making everything very convenient. The breakfast was also delicious, and the host was very friendly. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back!
