Units were spacious and very clean. Good kitchen and accessories. Comfortable beds. Very good shower (Unit 10). Parking outside. Considering main road is close it was petty quiet and wasn’t affected by road noise.

Was first put into Unit 1. First night we noticed wifi was very weak and went off by 9pm. TV is Netflix only (no Freeview) and if you are relying on wifi do not have Unit 1. Mentioned the wifi issue next morning to the mangers/owners, as wifi was needed for our work, and initially received a very grumpy ‘what are we suppose to do about it’ response. After polite persistence we were finally offered a solution which was to move units.

The gentleman at reception was very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in the clean and comfortable unit assigned to us.

We are from the United States where we have screens on our windows. We understand this may not be an option in New Zealand however, if it were, we would’ve been more comfortable leaving the windows open if there were screens. However, we were appreciative of the fan that was provided, and the unit did cool down after sometime.

Although located on SH6, the room was set back from the road and was nice and quiet. The room was spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen area, table and chairs etc. The large ensuite bathroom was excellent with good water pressure. We were able to park our hire car right outside the door which was handy. Only a short walk away there were plenty of bars/restaurants, shops etc. and only a few metres more to the beach. We only stayed for one night but would have been happy to stay longer.

Nothing to dislike.

The motel is well maintained, spacious and comfortable. Kitchenette was functional with most things required. Bathrooms looks to have had some upgrades, and were in good condition. Bed was comfortable. They were able to change rooms prior to completing check-in. We have a 15 month old child and once we got to site requested a unit at the back, which we got. so thanks for that!

some small maintenance issues could do with some attention, ie screw hole repairs in the bathroom. shampoo sachets were provided, it would have been nice to also have some moisturiser and shower gel. the extraction fans direct straight out to the front of the units. that means any strong smelling cooking next door necessitates the closing of your doors until the smell has cleared. extraction to the rear of the unit would have been better. a grater would be good.

Jade Court is located on the main highway in Hokitika, so easy to find. Not far from the downtown area. Large 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with a large sitting area and kitchen. Perfect for a larger family. Not far from the beachfront. Great place to stay if you are passing through. No A/C in this unit but an oscellating fan was provided.

Motel is located next to a train track - but with so few trains passing through, this was not a problem.

The room was well equipped with everything we need for a family of 4. We particularly like the kitchen as it’s designed to be well ventilated so we were able to cook a full meal without having to worry about the smell in the room afterward. The bathroom was also nice, clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. The location was also good for us as it was 2-3 minutes drive from supermarket and located in a quiet neighborhood.

We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment for the Wild Food Festival. The place was wonderful and clean! The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One of the rooms had three single beds, and the second room had what I think is a Queen or King with an additional single bed. Everything about our stay was great. We will stay here again the next time we are in town.

There was nothing not to like. The place is great and an excellent place to stay in Hokitika. If you are looking for a good place to stay in Hokitika, then stay here!

We had a great stay in a 2 bdrm apartment. 4 adults and 2 toddlers and we all fit in perfectly. 3 singles in one room, a queen and single in the other. Staff were very welcoming and went the extra mile for us, letting us check in (very) late, vacuuming throughout our stay (toddlers!), giving us peanut butter when someone had a meltdown that we didn't have any (also toddler!) And having our walls dried when an overnight vaporizer fulted and left condensation everywhere 🫣 thanks so much! This was our second stay at Jade Court and we will definitely be back and will recommend it to others!

The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and we subsequently felt warmly welcomed and invited immediately upon arrival. We were even able to move into the room a lot earlier than official check-in, which was really convenient. Our apartmenent was directly across the lovely green garden area, which we had a few snacks in, since the weather was quite sunny. The room was very spacious with comfortable bed and seating area for meals and even a small couch for evening entertainment. The kitchenette was well stocked with microwave, fridge, stove-top, electric kettle and daily complimetary coffee and tea. The decor and furniture were modern, up-to-date and everything was very clean and inviting. The spa bath was simply heavenly! We loved it! A self-service laundry area (for small fee) had been provided close to the reception. The accommodation is a a very convenient short walking distance from Hokitika Town including restaurants, cafés and gift shops as well as a post office, beaches, a small grocery store and gas stations. The kitchen light burned out during our stay and the friendly staff immediately came to fix the issue, which was a very good service and much appreciated! Hokitika Gorge (~30km from city) and The Glow Worm Dell are a MUST-SEE!!!

Wi-Fi was beyond bad, unusable really. It wasn't even enough to check one's Emails. Using (own) Netflix was impossible. Receptionist has warned us about the issue and it was okay, since we weren't totally dependent on it. I think it should be mentionend in the facility description, however. If you are dependent on Wi-Fi for work or otherwise, take that into account. We used Wi-Fi in the city in one of the little cafés, since we needed to book additional accommodations, which was really not possible at our accommodation.

Such a good sized room, and we were very happy with the kitchen facilities - we had everything we needed to cook a meal. Parking was right outside our room which is so important for unloading, especially when staying just one night. The bed was comfortable. Yes, we would stay here again.

The shower door leaked out onto the bathroom floor, even when fully shut - it doesn’t seem to fit properly.
