We had a cabin, and it matched the description on booking.com. It was small, but very clean and bedding provided. There was a heater in the room which was excellent and kept the room nice and cosy. Bathrooms and kitchen areas were always clean. The television room, and the games rooms were a great bonus- both very spacious and well stocked- especially as it rained for our 3 day stay and it gave the children a space to play when they couldn’t go on the wet playground. Highly recommend this camp ground to others.

The only downside would be there was not much indoor seating in the dining area. 3 small tables/12 seats for the entire camp ground is not much seating. To be fair there are picnic tables under the room outside, but these still feel the wind and sideways rain… Our family ate outside on every one of our meals here and it was very cold.

Best holiday park - motel/hotel/backpackers anything really - that we have ever stayed at!! And theres been quiet a few, here and in Australia. The cleanliness was exeptional, everything we utilised was super clean everytime we went - toilets/ kitchen/ recreation room/ playground, and we were there for 4 days! The room was cosy and warm, we didnt even need the heater once. The staff were friendly and very helpful and we met heaps of great families there too. I would 100% go back to the Kiwi Holoday Park and would reccomend to anyone visiting Hokitika. Great job to the owners and workers!!

Hokitika’s Kiwi Holiday Park was a great place to stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, giving us great recommendations on places to visit. The park has plenty of amenities—a full kitchen, lounge, playground, and laundry. It’s a short drive to the glow worm dell, town, and Hokitika Beach. Hokitika Gorge, about 30 minutes away, is a must-visit. We also enjoyed catching the sunrise, sunset, and starry night from the park itself. The only downside was the kitchen, which got crowded during meal times with just two stoves. The laundry had three washers and dryers, but some guests hoarded them, causing delays. Overall, a well-maintained and convenient place to stay!

The campground is very well located, large, quiet and spread out. The basic cabin was very basic but comfortable, of a reasonable size and cool enough despite no screens on the windows & no fan or air-conditioning. The kitchen & dining area was adequate for those using it. It included 2 microwaves, 2 x 4 burner cooktops, 2 toasters, 2 coffee plungers, 2 double sinks and enough pots, pans, cutlery, etc. Only 3 inside tables with 4 chairs at each and number of outside tables and chairs, seemed too few for the size of the campground, but it worked. The 14 showers for all residents the were hot and nice. We are not sure if there was a queue in the morning. Hokitika is a lovely small town with everything you might want and only a few minutes drive away.

This is the best campground we have stayed at for a very long time. We stayed in a one bedroom unit which was better than any motel we have stayed at. Clean, well maintained and fantastic central play area for the kids. Very quiet location - the cabins are nicely spaced out with plenty of room for parking. Super friendly and helpful staff topped off a great stay. This would definitely be my first choice to rebook if we’re back in Hokitika. 😊

Only negative was lack of air conditioning in the unit… we happened to strike one of the rare very hot summer days in Hokitika and it was sweltering at night - for security reasons we were reluctant to leave doors/windows open as we didn’t know the area (if seemed very safe, but you never know!). Even a fan would have been a welcome relief. There was a heater in the room which I’m sure would make it very comfortable in winter.

One of the best holiday parks I’ve been too! Stayed in a basic cabin - wasn’t basic at all, very comfortable bed and linen included. Felt more like a motel room for bed comfort. We used the shared facilities. But these were some of the best I’ve experienced across NZ, warm and powerful showers, which were clean. Also plenty of space to dry off and get changed. Only downside was they were quite low down for anyone who’s tall. Friendly staff and well run and cared for site. Excellent value for money and would definately stay again

We really liked our stay at Hokitika’s Kiwi Holiday Park and Motels. Everything was really clean and well maintained. The kitchen was very spacious and had everything you needed. Heaps of showers and toilets. The property description is exactly what you get. Staff were wonderful! Just an amazing stay and would stay here again in the future!!

There was no extraction fan in the kitchen. Out of the 4 towels we had, one had a blood stain, the size of a dollar. But besides these two things everything was lovely.

The property looks like new; very clean & well maintained. This is a campground with various motel style units (some with kitchenettes and bathrooms). We stayed in a little motel with a kitchenette & bathroom, but also utilized the very well appointed and clean main kitchen to make one meal. Coin operated guest laundry available and worked well. The host at the reception was exceptionally cheerful and helpful. Great stay!

We were thrilled with this holiday park. Our motel room was equipped with everything you could possibly need and was so tidy and clean. It was a perfect base for our travels around the west coast. The playground and communal areas were fantastic as well.

The only suggestion I have would be to add a lamp in the living area as the overhead lights are quite bright for evening relaxing. But truly, we have no complaints and loved our stay here.

I definitely recommend everyone to stay here. The price is very very cheap. The facilities are perfect. They have a big kitchen with kitchen ware (all you need, pan, pot, cup, knife, dish ., etc). The playground is big. My kids enjoyed so much especially bouncing playground. You need to prepare your own soap&shampoo which is not the problem. Prepare yourself, if the weather is so cold and raining, the shared bathroom and toilet are separate from your room.
