A charming neo-classical boutique hotel right in the beating heart of the city. Could not be better placed for the central square, commercial district, and the Rigas Fereou pedestrianised entertainment and shopping street. We were impressed by the style and elegant renovation of the building, in line with the grace and interest of its bigger sister property, Byzantino. Staff were extremely courteous and friendly, although due to boutique size of hotel, it is not full-service. If the on-site caretaker staff cannot assist, around the corner the Byzantino can provide any necessary assistance on a 24-hour basis. Breakfast was delicious, especially the kagiana (tomato, egg and feta) dish. A delightful place to stay.

Polyester-filled pillows are absolutely diabolical, especially in 100 degree weather. Would recommend pillows filled with natural, breathable materials such as down, cotton or wool. Such a pity, because otherwise the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. Coffin-sized shower cubicle was far too constrictive for a grown man and could not move around comfortably to wash oneself. Water temperature in shower was wildly unpredictable and needs better regulator. We would have appreciated daily room cleaning (which probably would have been provided had we asked). Our room had such beautiful high ceilings and ceiling ornamentation, it screamed-out for a chandelier or other feature lighting fixture, which is just a design suggestion that would greatly enhance the sense of quality of the room.

The room was very comfortable, clean and with good facilities. The location was great and very central. It was easily walkable from the bus station and a short taxi ride to the new Port.

On the night we stayed there was quite a lot of noise as it was a public holiday and there was a lot of late night partying in the street and surrounding area. This did not detract from our stay though, and we enjoyed the atmosphere

Breakfast in another building next door and it can be a bit noisy the evening because the hotel is in the city center but didn't bother us too much.

One of the most charming hotels in the best possible location! The architecture and design are superb! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, we loved our time there!

helpful, friendly staff. property in excellent condition. breakfast was fine. I suggest staying here. I was in the “daughter” building around the corner; when looking at entry, main hotel around corner to right. take about 60 paces & main hotel will be on right.

it was challenging to find Mai hotel lobby bc instructions I had indicated “across the street” so be sure to go around the corner.

There was parking available but with extra charge. The steps were slippery and partially broken.

The hotel is very beautiful, uniquely styled and we really enjoyed staying there. Its location is great - right in the center of the town
