Look. Braila is an old town. And it is hurting. But the people were wonderful. The Saint Germain is an old building, but it's well taken care of and the staff is amazing. I woke up with a view of the Danube river. The bed was comfortable and they actually have really good WiFi.

Although it is just steps from the old town city square, the city is run down and dirty. But there is still so much beauty in those old buildings. Even walking around the streets late at night, I felt safe. In addition to the hotel restaurant, I had a chance to visit several of the close by restaurants. Restaurant Carol, La Fenice, Casa Domneasca. All were delicious.

The staff went the extra mile on everything. The sheets were pristine. The hotel is clean. There is also a charging station. The family room is a gem as you can bring the two beds together.

I one of those who dislikes air fragrances. Luckily, this didn't spoil the room air too much, it was mostly contained in the hallways. Historical buildings need to keep their design, which means lifting luggage or expensive retrofits to the design, i.e. elevator, for just 1 floor in this case.

I recently visited the Hotel Saint Germain, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The food was outstanding, the dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It's clear that the chefs take great pride in their work. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

This was my first time in Braila, and I am sure I made the perfect choice for accommodation. Great building architecture, recently renovated, good location, very clean, attention to detail, and a lovely bar with terrace make it a very appealing choice.

Everything was great! Especially the historical vibe and the remote location, just minutes away from the city center.

The hotel restaurant is also available for private events. It would be a good idea to reserve a few tables for the guests of the hotel, so access to the restaurant is not restricted during these events.

It's always a pleasure staying at Saint Germain - the location, the rooms, the staff, the quiet - everything is top notch. I appreciate all the care that was put into the high standard of service. The restaurant also has excellent food, breakfast is not too diverse, but fresh and with quality ingredients.

Sometimes the wait for the food in the restaurant can be a bit long - nothing that ruins your experience, though.

The building is an old property of 100 years if not more, which was beautifully restored to its former glory and it is well maintained. The architecture inside and out is gorgeous. It is not very big but it is elegant, the rooms are quite spacious with on suite bathrooms and very very comfortable beds. It is kept very clean by the staff, which is very friendly and professional at the same time. The restaurant on site is good and also has a terrace that has power outlets in case you also need to work while being there. The food is good, has variety in the menu and also in its prices depending on what you order. It is affordable for what it offers. Nearby there is a park which is also historic I believe, perfect for an evening walk. Close to the old center attractions. The hotel offers bike rides as well. There are rooms suitable for disabled people as well. The owners really thought about everything when they restored the place. A lovely stay overall. In my case the reason for the trip was both business and pleasure so it fit my needs perfectly.

It is close to the Danube and the view would be lovely, but some other constructions arose in the area which blocks the view. Not the fault of the hotel though. Location wise, is easy to find if you use GPS or taxi but quite entangled on streets if you go by foot or public transportation.

Breakfast was good variety and the location was very good, close to the restaurants and quiet at the same time.
