The staff is what I would like to commemorate! There was an issue with booking and that caused a delay with the check in. I was able to spend time and enjoy the city but to my surprise the staff upgraded my booking to accommodate for the booking error. The staff made me feel not only welcome but also part of the community. I would have stayed longer if I knew how great the stay would be. If you stay in Cherbourg, this is the place you should stay. Also there was scooter parking right next to the hotel which is amazingly convenient. The guest kitchen area was well maintained and stocked for you to make many different types of meals and make yourself coffee. Everything was always clean whether I used one of the wash rooms in the middle of the night or during busy times in the day. I have been in France for a few weeks and I think this was my most enjoyed stay! Thank you to the staff that was so wonderful to me

Very clean. Great location for catching the ferry. Fully equipped kitchen. You need to be aware that this is a hostel, so whilst bedding is provided, you must strip it off the next day, and take your own towels etc. The kids loved the football table. Basic but ticks all the boxes for an overnight stay. Free car park. As a family of 5 we were given a funky kind of attic extension, which was cool.

Tricky to find entrance to car park. Tip: look for the gap, but there's no drop kerb! It's only accessible going in one direction!

Great youth hostel - loved the vibe. Lots of families and bike packers staying there. It is a short walk from the centre of town. Very happy with our stay. Small kitchen that has most amenities, although note that there is just one hot plate for cooking so probably best you cook one pot dishes only or risk holding others up. The room we had included a private shower and sink, although the toilet was shared down the hall. The beds are firm but very comfortable. Lots of USB charging ports directly by the beds.

Great location, secure parking and ease of access. The facilities were clean and tidy. The communal areas are spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The only thing I would say is the breakfast serving area could be a bit better laid out, when a few people were in the queue it felt a bit cramped. But the staff were helpful and friendly.

It was very comfortable, clean, and close to town. We would like to stay there again.

It was bit tricky to park a car. There are many one way roads around the accommodation to access to the car park. I wish that the youth hostel had provided us a map with how to get there in advance. So that we would have been prepared ourselves.

The thoughtful, friendly, welcoming staff members. Impeccably clean everywhere in the facility. Very nice breakfast. Clean, comfortable sleeping situation. Incredibly convenient location. I was wondering if I deserve this awesome accomodation.

it would have been better if they provide Wifi, but it is a tiny part. Everything else is absolutely perfect.

The breakfast was superior to any I have seen of its kind. I would never have slept in when that petite dejeuner waited. The place was run like official youth hostels were once run when I was young, with a real mind to the needs of the guest, not the convenience or venal needs of staff. Staff here didn't take advantage of the disadvantaged. I'm already planning a return someday.

I stayed there before, and the place is quite nice. This time I was in another room, but the facilities were the same. The room was as clean as it could be (the facilities are a bit dated, but it is a youth hostel, so that is kind of a standard :)). There's a small breakfast and a kitchen you can use to cook your own meals too. The hostel is also close to the city centre if you want to wander around. Overall, it is a nice stay in Cherbourg!

It is a bit dated, but in my eyes, this is not a negative as, overall, it's quite comfy!

Great little hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Secure bike room and good kitchen for cycle tourers and others. Great stop before or after a ferry. The city is very bike friendly.

Good location and comfortable bed.

WiFi didn't work except you have to be in reception or next door bar area. Not so good when it's late night and need to stay in room.
