Our stay at this hotel was wonderful in every way. The rooms were very beautiful and gave us the feeling of living in a charming old half-timbered house, but with a modern and luxurious touch. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant at the same time. What truly deserves more than five stars is the staff. They were amazing – helpful, respectful, very sweet, and kind. It was a real pleasure to meet them, and they honestly made our stay 100% better. The location is excellent, just a short walking distance to the lovely town center. It’s a beautiful and quiet little town where you can enjoy walking around, and you can also easily visit nearby cities such as Strasbourg, Basel in Switzerland, or Eguisheim. I had requested connecting rooms, but they were not available. However, the hotel kindly upgraded us to better rooms and ensured we were next to each other since we were traveling as a family – a very thoughtful gesture. They also included breakfast even though it wasn’t part of my booking, which was extremely kind. Breakfast itself was excellent – fresh, delicious, with a good variety of essentials. Everything was well prepared and always restocked, which we really appreciated. We also booked a parking space at the hotel garage for our car, which felt very safe as it was monitored by CCTV. Street parking in front of the hotel was often full, so the garage was the best option. The only thing to note is that the parking spaces and street to the garage are a little tight, especially if you have a large SUV, so you need to be a confident driver. Still, it was very close to the hotel and convenient. In short: the rooms were good, the location was excellent, and the staff were beyond amazing. A truly memorable stay that I would highly recommend. When I return to Colmar, I will definitely stay here again.

None Just a little tight garage space

In a perfect location in "Little Venice" in Colmar, the hotel is very comfortably appointed and the staff were great. The breakfast was the best of our three-country trip, with many options, even including some bubbly!

Our main concern was with the bathtub/shower, with the bathtub being set high enough that even for me at 5'11" I had to be very careful stepping in and out. More so for my wife, who is somewhat shorter. I think it would be a possibly insurmountable challenge for someone with limited mobility or other physical issues, so I suggest confirming with the hotel as to the type bathtub/shower arrangement you're reserving (they did say there are other types of arrangements available, so check first). The only other thing that we weren't expecting was that we upgraded to a suite, but the second "room" was in fact a long hallway with some bunk beds. Maybe our fault, but we had expected an actual room where we might relax.

Excellent location. Rooms are nicely decorated, but smaller than what you would expect for this price range. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Second time we stayed at this hotel and last time it was better. Maybe because it was the Easter weekend and the hotel was nearly fully booked this time. Wifi connection was poor and slow. The towels in the bathroom were so thin that some had holes in them. Had to tell reception twice in 4 days that our bathroom ran out of shower gel (we had 3 rooms) because housekeeping forgot to refill it. The buffet area is very small, so it gets very crowded at breakfast when the hotel is fully booked. Little details, but when they add up, it is not in line with what you expect from a hotel in this price category

Hotel is really wonderful, consist of several old houses, combined to make hotel. Very well decorated. Room was spacious and comfy. Staff was nice and kind. Location is super good.

At the checkout i asked if everything is included and they said yes. But then they sent me an email saying that they forgot to put some extra and want to charge later on. Colmar is a very crowded place on saturday nights. We had some noise until in very late at night and it was a problem to sleep. On other days we didn't have this problem. There are lots of parking places at the street that hotel is located but you need to be very lucky to find an empty spot.

It was in a great location with just a few steps into the Little Venice area, and 4 minutes to the old town. We were able to park our car easily in their garage. We were a little early to check in so sat out in the lovely courtyard, and when they came to give us our key, they had already taken our bags up to the room. The room was very spacious and a lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. We'd asked for a kettle and that was provided, and they also let us have some milk. There is a fridge in the room with some mini bar items, but we could keep the milk inside. They were very helpful during the visit, and we enjoyed our stay.

Just a little disappointed that having declared what we had used from the mini bar and paid for it at check out, they went and charged my card after I had left without any communication. I don't understand how they could bill our credit card without approval. Their sister hotel in Strasbourg did the same and I have had to chase for a refund, so please do watch for this.

Great location for exploring Little Petite Venice on foot. We requested a room in the main building and it was very nice and roomy. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

This was our second time staying here and in a different room from the first time. The beds are very uncomfortable as I am a side sleeper. Not sure that I would stay again for more than one night unfortunately because of how hard the beds are. They provide a hairdryer but it is a small travel sized hair dryer that requires you to depress and hold the button while in use. Not very easy to do when drying long hair.

This is a very well-maintained hotel – everything is in perfect order. The breakfast is excellent, and the staff are extremely service-minded. The hotel has an excellent location right by “Le Petit Venise.” Both the hotel and our room provided the perfect setting for our holiday in Colmar and the surrounding area.

Our main concern is that the price is too high, which is why we rated the hotel a bit lower on “value for money.” On a minor note, there’s a lack of proper reading lights by the beds.

This gorgeous hotel is right in the heart of old Colmar. I was upgraded to a suite, two fights of stairs up, and with various sloped ceilings, definitely not for anyone with mobility issues so my advice would be to spell out any such concerns before you arrive. I was delighted with my upgrade, with its little views onto a quiet canal. The breakfast was really good. Gorgeous pain au chocolat and nice coffee. From the hotel you go on foot to explore this beautiful city. Side note: if you’re into wine, try Les Cercle des Aromes. Fabulous wine bar that does a great cheese and charcuterie platter.

The Suite Room was wonderful. Modern with old style in between, good combination. It was something special, at the top of the main building.

The stairs to get the suite room, the position of the light switch for the garderobe at the other side of the room (too far from there) and little dark room. The breakfast was nice but on Sunday many things were finish around 9:30, one hour before closing, and they were not put again. It was really a pity, we were expecting the nice breakfast and could eat only half…
