The garden/lagoon setting with koi and ducks and abundant flora was gorgeous. This place has a retro atmosphere with a history of art scattered through the larger facility. The room was quite comfortable overlooking the water, ducks, koi. The room was perfect with beautiful art on the wall. The bed, bathroom dining area - all just great! The staff - every single person - was amazing. The dining was exceptional - great food, drinks and selection.

The shower needs a bit of an update with the hand held - faucet- this in no way is a negative. The shower was large and walk in (not a tub conversion).

Dina's Garden hotel is an outstanding, exceptional hotel. The rooms are not new or modern but are very spacious, very well maintained and extremely clean, with all the amenities we needed. In contrast to most other hotels' rooms, the lights in the room are strong and allow reading at any point in the room. The surrounding gardens with water, ducks and fish are beautiful and create a special atmosphere of calm and peacefulness. The hotel staff is very polite and attentive. We enjoyed eating and drinking at the Pool side restaurant. Very good food and service and very pleasant environment. In summary - it's a charming hotel, we will definitely visit them again when in the Palo Alto area.

The hotel was lovely, just lovely. My room was spacious and clean, and, for a hotel that's been around since the 1950s, sure didn't seem to need renovation. The entire hotel seemed very well maintained. The Christmas decorations were extravagant but not tacky, and the lobby, also spacious and with a fireplace going, was a warm hug of a welcome to those checking in. Dinahs Garden Hotel is doing a lot of things right. Bravo!

My stay was not without blemish, though. The sliding glass door on my 3rd floor room was so noticeably dirty that I couldn't understand why it could have gone so long without cleaning. It just did not fit with my experience of the hotel up to that point. My only other real critique is that the young man who worked the front desk in the morning didn't have the one thing someone in that post needs to have: enthusiasm. A sense that they are happy to be there and happy to have you be there. He wasn't rude by any means, but I do remember thinking, "He must be a relative of one of the owners."

The holiday lights were exquisite!!! The gardens with blooming flowers and fragrances were amazing! My dog loved walking around and he immediately knew his way, while I kept getting us lost. The fountains and koi ponds were so peaceful and replenishing! The room was large, well outfitted, lived the elephant lamp. Great lighting, spacious. Clean. Room service was excellent. My dog and I were very happy there! Staff at the front desk and the entry room were all great too.

The bed was quite hard. Not comfortable. But it was clean, large and the pillows were nice. The room was so peaceful, with sounds of the fountains. Was super fun to open the patio in the morning abd go out and see and hear the water while eating breakfast in our room.

The location was great. It was in a safe part of town, the ground was beautiful with flowers, palm trees, redwood/fir trees, a giant pond with huge fish and ducks. You can also feed the fish! My toddler had so much fun feeding them. The rooms were big and beautiful and the beds were super comfy. The restaurant was so good with great food. The location was somewhat close to stanford hospital, which is why we stayed there. A little pricey but totally worth it. You will not be disappointed. This was by far the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. 15/10 we will be back.

Location, amenities, poolside dining; the gardens were beautiful. Rooms were spacious. I was on the ground floor so I liked the large patio off the back. I was surprised that most buildings were motel-like in that our door opened onto parking lot. However, a co-worker was in a building that was hotel-like, with doors opening into internal hallway.

My incidentals were not replenished by housekeeping when emptied. A small detail but it did create an inconvenience. The anchor device for the handheld shower was improperly placed so it was difficult to adjust the shower head as it would not aim straight down. I had to use it as a handheld most of the time.

Very nice place, gardens, ponds everywhere. Many room choices to to help budget. Suite I was in was decorated very nice, each rooms has own themes. They have a great restaurant on the pool. Pool is heated and central to site, easy to get too walking thru gardens and ponds. 10 of 10 for me!!

Pillows were really flat and as a stomach sleeper they did not work for me. Loft fails for my fat head, but may be ok for others. Lots of stairs to rooms, but do have a rooms with access to an elevator.

The grounds are very lush and full of beautiful plants and flowers. The staff were very friendly. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a window overlooking the pool. We had a back door that connected to the pool area. The location is quiet and the on-site restaurant offers a good value for meals.

The pool area could use more seating, benches, etc. The restaurant is set in the pool area so many restaurant tables occupy space that could be used for pool users.

We loved our room but being that we had a 2 year old it would've been nice to be on the first story. Our favorite part was feed the fish and ducks in the pond! Check in staff was super friendly and nice!!

The staff with the restaurant there were terrible. The service was terrible. We had to ask multiple times for simple items like water after waiting for over 20 minutes when clearly we could see the staff joking inside and on their phones. Very disappointing and again we have a 2 year old so eating out is already difficult to start.

I love all of the artwork which ranges from African to Oriental to European. Beautiful, touches such as shoeshine in the lobby, coffee and tea, fresh water, dispensers, little chocolates in the room, wonderful walkways, bridges, fountains, serene statues and ducks swimming in the pond. The pool is heated with salt water which feels good on the skin. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, extra towels and blankets are provided in the bedroom and by the pool. The staff is helpful and always available. Price point is very good especially for that neighborhood. When we left, a huge natural Christmas tree was installed in the lobby and staff were getting ready to decorate with actual fresh greens. Class act all the way.
