The bed was comfortable, important after hours of travel by collectivo. The location was quiet -- "disrupted" by the wind and sound of waves -- and offered a night sky filled with stars. Finally, the owners were personable, and quick to assist with questions and more. They made a great stay all the better. A couple side points. First, if you do not have a car or take a taxi, consider renting a bicycle in Mahahual; a walk to town takes 1 to 1.5 hours. Second, to tide one over between trips to town, a few minutes walk up the road is/was a "store" with the basics, milk, juice, beer, eggs, cheese, snacks, and more.

The location is absolutely terrific! We could see the ocean from our bed, and enjoyed the sound of waves. The kids loved the swimming pool and the relaxed atmosphere. Would totally recommend!

I learned that living off grid is easier to do than I thought. I enjoyed not watching TV. The owners were very nice and provided a lot of information about the area including recommendations for restaurants in other cities we visited. I enjoed my time there very much! The owners provided us with plenty of privacy and when we wanted to visit with them, it was like coming home to visit. They were genuinely interested in our questions. All 8 rooms are ocean front. They take good care of the grounds and their guests! I will definitely stay there again when I return to Mahahual. It was the perfect amount of away from town and close to town we rented a car and had no issues with the location. The bumps in the roads to Mahahual are just memory makers! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did!

The upstais balconies are a bit small but can fit 2 chairs and a side table, if you want more space request a ground floor unit or just hang out on the beach or under the palapa.

It has a very nice location directly on the beach. At night you listen only to the waves and it is really peaceful. There is two nice restaurants nearby.

The rooms are all literally a stone throw from the sea and you can hear the ocean when you wake up to a stunning sunrise. The garden is beautiful and everywhere including the beach has lots of natural shade. The way to town is a lovely car or cycle ride on a quite road along the ocean. We are so happy to have found this place and it is by a mile the best place we have stayed in in Yucatan! It is NOT A BIG 5 star resort but just a few nice apartments by the beach and there is everything you need and more. The hosts are lovely and could not be more helpful! Thank you so much for everything and if we ever come to Yucatan again we will always come back to your little bit of paradise!!!

There is nothing to dislike!!!

- very friendly and attentive owners :) - great location if you look for remote place you can relax in, away from the overwhelming centre - the bed was reeeeeally comfy - you'll find everything you need in the kitchen - pots, plates, all you may need if you'd like to make your own breakfast/dinner - you can rent a kayak to see more clear water and fish - we really enjoyed our stay and we higly recommend if you want to spend some time relaxing by the sea

- there were mosquitos, but Lourdes (the owner) said it was temporary due to weather. if you have good DEET repellent it is not a problem

The property is laid out well so each guest has privacy. our accommodation were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the beach front access as well as the fresh water pool.

The access road has quite a few potholes.
