A great location for visiting Goryokaku Park and getting trams and buses. The breakfast was good with a wide selection of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although not able to use much English to communicate they used a device to help translate.

The temperature in the room was too hot that we found it difficult to fall sleep. There was not a method to lower the temperature but eventually used the fan. The room was rather small but adequate for the price.

Room size is small but the configuration is well-thought out. Enough room for 1 large 28in luggage. Bed is firm. Overall nice place. Breakfast is decent and some of the items are changed daily 👍🏼.

Car park is limited but alternative carpark is available at ¥800 for overnight parking nearby. Staff are generally polite except for one male manager who was rude. He didn’t return our morning greetings and when I asked for help to open our room (left both card keys inside), he showed his annoyance and displeasure.

Great hotel with good facilities,2 coin operated launderettes with dryers, and 2 vending machines for drinks. Lovely staff and delicious buffet breakfast. The room was a good size and as usual in all the hotels I've stayed in Japan, exceptionally clean. It's a good location for visiting Hakodate and the surrounding area, unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to do much exploring and the weather wasn't great 🙄

I liked how central the hotel was located. Only a few minutes walk from Goryokaku. It was also close to a tramstop, so we could get around easily. The standard was good and the room was clean.

The room had an aircondition, but it was centrally controlled so we couldn't switch the temperature to our liking, so it got superhot in the room when it was turned on.

Clean, comfortable, close to the airport. Good use of space, compact without being claustrophobic. Convenience store on the 1st floor and it looked like a restaurant on the 2nd but we didn't eat out. I would happily stay here again.

Nothing to dislike

This great Twin room (913) was the largest one on the 9th. floor. For what you pay, you get a lot at this hotel. Super quiet, great beds, room air filter, medium size bathroom, clean, new and comfortable. 10 minute walk to Goryokaku Tower, 2 convenience stores a minute or two away. All with a really fabulous breakfast of so many choices.

Perfect as it is for the price.

- This is the first time in my life I stayed in a hotel, which had "centrally controlled mode" triggered in the air conditioning unit. The reason for this is baffling me - why should anyone have an A/C in the room, when you cannot set the temperature by yourself? I had a look at other reviews - many other guests complained about this. As far as I remember - the night temperature was set to 25 degrees - this is definitely not ideal for everyone. Not to mention that the window cannot be open (and yes - I did read other reviews and the subsequent replies by the hotel staff pointing out that we can ask the staff member to open the window for us - why? Why should we bother? It is not convenient at all) and thus during particularly warm day I was sweating in my own room, since I was working.

Located in the downtown area near numerous restaurants. The bed was very comfortable, and there were free amenities like toothbrushes/toothpaste.

We couldn't figure out a way to crack a window to get some fresh air, but maybe we missed something.

The hotel is very clean. Great staff.

The location is horrible. The streets are filthy with trash, drunks walking all around, loud motorcycles going up and down the street revererring engines, the restaurants nearby absolutely are the worst!!! Will not stay here again ONLY because the location.

The breakfast was good and had a wide selection for breakfast. The staff helping us with the check in was friendly and went above and beyond to assist us to find out where the closest location to buy an IC card was. Turns out that Maru Imai shopping centre just 3 minutes walk away has a tax free counter on level 5 that sells the transport card and various other tourist services with regards to tax free and discounts.

The rooms are a little on the smaller side, but nothing some creative manoeuvring can't solve!
