The hotel was a former Manor House set in the back drop of beautiful green hills and fields. We were welcomed by a blazing log fire which I sat by reading the complimentary newspapers. The decor was rich with a a bold red hallway leading us to the bedrooms. We were early so we ordered a Sunday Roast and we sat and ate in the airy dining room. It was very good. The room was beautiful, it cannot be faulted. The furniture was in keeping with the period house. There were lovely long floor length curtains blackout curtains. A deep luxurious bath with gorgeous soaps. The bed was so comfortable and pillows fluffy it was dreamy. The room and bathroom was spotless. To top it all there was complimentary water, tea and coffee in the room. Before breakfast we walked around. The grounds, garden and lawn were picture perfect. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, using local produce and was delicious. There was a choice of traditional Yorkshire breakfast, kippers, smoked salmon and Egg Benedicts, plus cereals , fruit and yogurts. It was just an 8 minute walk from the station to this quiet peaceful haven, and 15 minute leisurely walk to the beautiful historic town. Certainly the best 3 star hotel I have stayed in and better than many 4 stars. Excellent.
I cannot think of anything to dislike.

Very nice manor house hotel, good location, lovely room with good shower, great view, good food, friendly staff. Also great outdoor seating and nice grounds.
Wonder why £15 charge/day for pet. You're either pet friendly, or not, and all rooms need a good clean before next visitors, so why the extra charge? No pet food, treats, pet bed, water bowl or anything really. Biggest complaint: coffee at breakfast was atrocious! Like really bad. And to only have premade very bad coffee and tea in a thermos jug, isn't up to modern standards. I asked for a fresh latte, but would have to pay extra for that. For an overnight stay at £175, I expect better!

The Hotel looks splendid set in its own gardens and is often used for weddings. There is plenty of parking for all guests. Check in was easy and our room spacious. It was well equipped and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was served 8-10 with all tastes catered for including cereals and cooked meals. We ate in one night and the food was great and not overly expensive. The staff were on hand at all times and were very friendly and helpful. Settle town was only a Short walk away approx 8-10 mins max. On our second night we ate out at the Talbot Arms and had a drink in the beer garden on our first day. The staff were friendly and the food really good. During our stay we visited Stainforth falls and Ingleton both of which we would recommend. We have never visited the west of the dales before and found all the people to be very friendly which we felt added to our short stay. Love the dales.
Nothing it was great

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at The Falcon Manor. Located on the outskirts of Settle, the hotel is full of historic character and intrigue. We had a very comfortable and well-furnished ensuite room on the first floor: spacious, with wonderful and far-reaching views over the garden and out to the Fells. The dinner menu was good and a dairy and egg intolerance was accommodated without any fuss (very rare - thank you x). Breakfast was excellent: especially the Fresh Griddled Kippers and the Full Yorkshire! The Falcon Manor is the perfect base for walking (we headed to the Victoria & Jubilee Caves, returning via Stainforth and along the River Ribble). It is also just a ten minute walk from Settle Station with the scenic train ride to Carlisle. The town of Settle is charming with cobbled streets and Yorkshire charm: well worth a thorough explore. But above all, the staff at The Falcon Manor were so helpful and we felt very warmly welcomed. A HUGE thank you to all. We will definitely be back!
Leaving!

Beautiful hotel with lovely surroundings. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is situated only a very short walk from the centre of Settle which is very convenient, especially for taking the journey on the Settle to Carlisle railway. Breakfast at the hotel was exceptional with everything you could wish for! We had a lovely stay and will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
We were a little disappointed with the evening meal menu. We would have preferred some lighter options - especially as I had read on the internet that these were available in the bar/lounge area in the evenings but this appeared not to be the case - sandwiches etc were only available until 5.00p.m.

Beautiful location, The room was absolutely stunning so so beautiful! Bed beautiful and so comfy!!!!! Garden was lovely and beautiful
We just felt like there wasn’t enough staff to help! And looked like staff were over stretched. On our first morning we went to breakfast we didn’t know where to sit and the breakfast display really wasn’t very inviting. The breakfast menu when we seen it on our table was nice menu and the food was beautifully presented and very nice just would have been better even if we had an hello and shown what to do! … The bath water wasn’t very warm, would have been nice to have been given some more tea, coffee supplies the next day.

A hotel taking residence in a delightful old manor house / rectory in the most beautiful of locations - Settle. This hotel oozes understated grandeur, being luxury in nature, but small enough to be called boutique, and free from the nouveau riche baubles of large opulent hotels. Arriving at the hotel, you pull up on a traditional gravel drive, and well tendered gardens. The house itself is old, well maintained and beautiful. It hasn't been stuffed full of dusty antiques, and instead nods to its past through choice pieces of art and modern ornaments. An ever lit fire greets guests in the main hall, followed by warm and welcoming staff. Not only was the room far better than the pictures gave it credit for, but also the food, it was perfectly prepared and executed cuisine that would happily grace any of the most in-demand restaurants in London. The head chef and their team delivered excellent dish after excellent dish. This is a tasteful and relaxed hotel, for those that appreciate such luxuries. Bon séjour!
A minor detail but the keyring to the door key was ill-suited to the decor and ambience of the hotel. I would also recommend that the hotel uses a luxury double topper when pushing two single beds together to make a double bed - it will provide far greater comfort to the occupants, who may wish to make vigorous use of the bed, or simply wish to spoon.

The hotel is an amazing building with real quality and history. The room we had was fantastic, a four poster bed with grand high ceilings and a great view over the hills. The quality of tea, biscuits and toiletries provided in the room was all very good. We enjoyed a high quality breakfast during our stay too, suggesting quality local produce is being supplied. The staff were great, being attentive but not intrusive and we felt fortunate to have foud this gem of a hotel which is often booked up for weddings. We would definetely look to stay at Falcon Manor again.
There was nothing needing any improvement.

Breakfast was fine, a fine array of options to choose from. Whether continental, cooked breakfast, cereals or fruit it was well catered for. A cooked breakfast was done to order.
I had a cooked breakfast and had a sausage that unfortunately contained bits of bone! Nobody else on my table complained (after some fruit or toast they also had the cooked option) so I'm guessing it was just my bad luck!! Apart from the gardens requiring to be extensively weeded here and there nothing else to report and since it was just an overnight stay I don't think we're qualified to say anything else.

What an absolutely stunning hotel. We couldn't get over how nice it was! I booked it due to the location as we were doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks the next morning at it was ten mins drive from our starting point. I wished we'd booked another night! The grounds, the reception areas, the food and the staff /service were exceptional! One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in.
We had dinner in the evening and the food was delicious, fab service! Jez you deserve a raise, reception, bar man & serving food you were so welcoming everything was perfect. Also arranged a pickup as we were leaving early and missed breakfast.
