Lovely room and Shower was nice and room had everything we needed including a fan and hair dryer etc. Very well priced room and was really clean and well presented. Small walk into Skipton town from guest house. Nice little pub around corner " the railway" that does great food and a Tesco supermarket with fuel just across road.

Lovely room but bed was a bit bouncy. When we Arrived early the door was closed with no answer from Bell. Steps up to entrance both sides so access may be a problem for wheelchair or people with walking difficulties.

The location was great, really close to the centre for shopping and eating out. Great for local attractions. There was a good supply of tea,coffee, hot chocolate, flavoured tea & milk. We even got cookies. These were all replenished daily.

We were a bit disappointed that there were no facilities to eat in the guest house. We read on line some of the reviews, and it said there was a lovely restaurant where you could purchase a fabulous breakfast, but the restaurant has been closed a few years now. So if you are hoping to be able to buy food you'll be very disappointed.

The hostess is extremely nice and friendly. The room was enough for what I needed. Complimentary coffee, tea, cream and cookies were in the room, as well as a small fridge (even though without a freezer). A fan was provided for the hot weather. The location is very convenient, even though sometimes traffic was slightly disturbing because careless people were driving at very fast speeds a couple of times in the evening.

I had no issues, but one might have a problem with the fact that there's no elevator – even though it's obviously not to be expected either in such a typical British house.

As soon as I walked in, the reception area smelled lovely and first impressions count! Our room was very spacious, and also had a large ensuite with bath/shower. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Room spotless. Complimentary teas, coffees etc which were replenished each day. Plenty of loo roll (something that is often lacking and I always take spare). Location great. Absolutely no complaints at all, we would wholeheartedly recommend this delightful guesthouse.

Nothing, everything was spot on!

the breakfast was top notch and very reasonably priced. the location was spot on just a walk from the center of town. it was handy for bus and train stations. shops, cafe,s restaurants are all with a ten minute walk. there was a cinema two streets away. canal trips and boat hire. plenty of artisan type shops, a castle. plenty of town center parking in the castle car park. only short drive away from steam train rides and Bolton abbey.

parking at the hotel is very limited. on street parking is available if you can find a space or dont mind parking on steep inclines. The hotel itself is run by a very nice lady who was chatty and attentive but the room was a little small with a big bathroom which had tight access past the bath, A walk in shower would be a lot better. small things were looking a bit tired but overall good. just small maintenance issues to address.

Highfield guesthouse is an ideal location to walk 3-4 minutes into centre of Skipton. Is ideal for visiting Leeds, Harrogate and Otley and Ilkley. Debbie the host is outstanding for service, knowledge of area, things to do and just altogether friendly!! The breakfast is superb and all choices and will fill you for the day!! Rooms are large, clean and have all you need. Plus there is a TV lounge and breakfast room. Will be back soon!

Parking is limited, but you are able to park near guesthouse easily.

Property was exceptionally clean. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Kindly provided a fan to help us cope with very hot nights. They do not serve breakfast at this property.

Property was a little further out of the town centre than we expected. My other half has some mobility problems so found it a little difficult. It would be no problem for anyone of average fitness. Only 5-10 mins walk.

The location was perfect for us. 10 minute walk to both venues we were using. Lady who runs the hotel was brilliant, really chatty, offered to carry stuff up to the room for us. Loved the guest house, it's not overly modern but comfy, bright and clean and plenty of room and perfect for a two night stay.

You could here the traffic at night, however it wasn't a massive issue for us.

The bath had not been cleaned properly. The bathroom bin had not been emptied. Water in the kettle. Stayed 2 nights, on the second day, whilst we were out, the room had been tidied, however all our belongings had been moved, suitcase packed up and closed up and moved. Not comfortable about our things being touched.

First I would like to thank Debbie our host. We travelled for the Christmas market, which was a little disappointing as it wasn't that much in the way of a Christmas market, but our stay, at our guest house made up for that providing us with a much needed rest. The place was wonderfully clean, rooms exceptionally clean an cozy. Breakfast wonderful everything you could ask for, cereals, yogurts, cooked breakfast an coming to the table hot, tea coffee an juice an to finish toast.

There was nothing we didn't like, our only thought was it would have been nice to have a communal area to meet an have a cup of tea before going out as we travelled as a group.
