Welcoming, clean hotel and rooms nice (comfy) beds. The staff were very nice and a good good b/fast. Central hotel close to all amenities.

From walking through the door to see the smiling faces of the staff we knew we had chosen the right place to stay, the pub itself is beautiful the room we stayed in wasn't the room we had originally booked due to a glitch on booking.com, but the standard room was perfect for our short stay, the bed was so comfortable the decor was amazing. The biggest thing though was the service level the girl behind the bar and the girl working the breakfast area on Sunday was so nice they are a massive assest to your company. The breakfast was the best ive had in ages We will be back in the next month or so

Nothing we loved it and loved skipton

I stay every year in November or early December for around 2 nights, usually with my adult daughter. Skipton’s is an excellent town with a great Market & lots of individual & independently owned shops, some of which are quirky, so it’s fantastic for Christmas Shopping. The Woolly Sheep Inn is centrally located & the staff are friendly & helpful. Some double rooms are smaller than others but there’s everything you could want & they’re spotlessly clean. The food is of an excellent standard, both at breakfast & in the evening. It’s so good that I often have a meal there even when just visiting Skipton for the day. The pub itself is nicely decorated with an “old world” charm & has a great courtyard/outside space at the back with extra accommodation in an Annexe.

Absolutely nothing. Although it’s useful to know that, although the Inn’s rooms are of a modern standard/decor, it is actually an old building. All the accommodation is upstairs & there’s some higgledy-piggledy, uneven landings with steps which I would have difficulty as I have back problems. However I always book in advance & ask for an Annexe Room or for a first floor room & the staff are very obliging. This means that I only have to negotiate one small staircase. The staff would help with luggage if you need them to.

We received a warm and friendly welcome, Our room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable and gave a very good night's sleep. The food at dinner was of excellent quality and there was a good selection. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cold or hot food. The range of beers was also excellent. The location right in the middle of Skipton is extremely convenient and although the car park is tucked away to the rear,access is fine.

Breakfast was really good, lots of options. Mugs provided not cups. Sink big enough to wash my hair in. quiet toilet flush for night-time visits. Suitcase 'stand'. the view. Fresh milk for teas and coffees! Dinners were good, not the usual pub chips fare.

the number of steps we had to go up, and down ,to get there. there was only 1 chair. every morning from 6am onwards I could hear the bar door slam. All the tourist information was for somewhere else, often a long way off. No walking leaflets.

The property was spotlessly clean. Our room was a superior double on the top floor. It was quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner on both days of our stay and the food was excellent and piping hot. The staff were friendly and efficient. Fresh milk was provided in a flask and could be replenished at any time. This was a nice touch.

A mild irritation is that the Inn is marketed as a no smoking establishment, however, at the bottom of the second flight of stairs, leading to the top floor bedrooms, there was a constant smell of cigarette smoke. It may have been coming from a private room/office, but was actually quite unpleasant.

Very clean. Simple room but had everything needed. Addition of fresh milk on arrival was a great idea, sustainable and much nicer than the plastic tub stuff. Breakfast was super. I asked for something not on the menu (although all' the elements were) and this was done without any fuss. We also ate dinner here and food was really good and sensible prices.

Small thing, but the kettle didn't fit under the tap in the sink, so had to fill it by ladling in cups of water.

Could have done with a room on a lower floor, I’m not good with stairs, thought room 4 would have been first floor not top floor. Would have liked water glasses , unfortunately on our way home we were hit head on by a waggon driver who had fallen asleep, and I’ve been in hospital all week with a broken Sternum, so not a good end to our celebration my husband also had broken ribs, but eventually we’ll be back, our car was a write off

An absolute gem of a place that is so surprising when you just see the pub from the front. The staff were all extremely polite, professional and welcoming. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast was superb. Pity we were only there for one night but we will return and I highly recommend the Woolly Sheep.

Only very minor point was that I could not fit the kettle under the tap in our room and had to use cups to fill it. As I say, very minor point.

Location was great within walking distance of the town centre and canal area. Secure parking space a bonus. Room was very clean, spacious and a little quirky in that the floor sloped quite a lot but this added to the charm! Very amicable, cosy pub with a great atmosphere and the coal fire was particularly welcome as the weather was snowy! Had one evening meal which was very good and the breakfast was excellent. All the staff we were served by were efficient and friendly. As we didn't do everything we wanted to due to the weather, we are planning to return.

Nothing really.....no scenic view from the window but in a town centre location you wouldn't usually expect that.
