I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the most serene and memorable seven days I spent in Sveti Stefan. The entire experience was elevated by the incredible staff at the hotel—truly some of the most attentive and warm-hearted people I’ve encountered. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and professionalism. A special thanks to Marko and Jovana at the reception desk for their warm hospitality and the most amazing birthday 🎂 surprise (the pic attached), Sanja for her kind service each morning at breakfast, and Ajai & Rajadelish for their delightful presence at the beach 🏖️ Most of all, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Miljana, who consistently went above and beyond. Whether it was helping me locate a pharmacy, arranging a transfer, or simply making sure I had enough water, she handled everything with such grace and care. Her kindness truly made my stay unforgettable. Everyone I interacted with was not only professional but also genuinely pleasant and respectful—always smiling, always ready to help. I cannot recommend this place enough for those seeking peace, beauty, and exceptional service

Honestly, everything about the property was beyond amazing. If I had to mention anything, it would simply be that for a slightly richer coffee experience, I found La Mar restaurant in Bečići to be a great alternative.

Breakfast was amazing, the beach outside incredible, and the staff so friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend, and will be looking forward to my next stay at Hotel California.

This hotel exceeded my expectations, the location/views from the terrace are breathtaking and Sveti Stefan is a must visit in Montenegro. The hotel itself looks like it’s been recently renovated and is spotlessly clean. The private beach is well kept and has waiter service for drinks. The staff can’t do enough for you and the food in the restaurant and breakfast were very good. Parking for hotel guests is also free which was a nice surprise.

I booked a mountain facing room and was given one on the second floor which was a bit dark - the room was lovely other than this. I was hardly in the room and I selected this cheaper room option.

Nice new hotel with excellent breakfast and a view to the sea and St Stefan island. Staff is very helpful, cleanliness is beyond reproach. Private beach and private parking are great. Nice bathroom. There are some nice and not-so-expensive bars and restaurants nearby.

Our room looked at the back and was close to the road (though admittedly there were not many cars passing. Also, very close to our terrace was the power generator for the air conditioning of the whole building which makes a strong constant humming noise. You do not hear it when you close the terrace door (insulation is excellent) but for me it was impossible to stay on the terrace. Another niggle is the strong music played in the corridors though admittedly they decreased the volume when I asked. Also rooms could be a bit bigger for a five star hotel.

Large, clean and well provisioned room. Good selection at breakfast. Attentive and professional staff. Great location with very convenient beach access.

Our ground floor room had the main hotel ventilation duct boxed into the corner. Meaning from 6am-10pm there was a loud, deep vibration noise resonating through the room. It was annoying but not completely disruptive. Our comments to the staff were met with indifference. The room was also very gloomy.

The location is stunning. We had an Seaview room and looked directly at Sveti Stefan island. We loved the private beach and the complimentary sun lounges and umbrellas. The staff were all amazing. From the check in, the dining area, the beach guys, the gentleman who greeted us on our arrival were all fantastic. Really there to treat the guests well. I also had the pleasure to deal with the Manager Gordana. She went out of her way to assist me with a last minute change of plans. And all with a smile even after a 15 hour shift. The breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner on the balcony with the sun setting in the background. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was good with a really good shower. There is just nothing to fault here

It was one of the best hotels that we stayed. The staff, the location, the food, the room, all were amazing. The receptionist ladies were fantastic, they were helpful, kind and doing their best to make the stay good for us. They deserve a big salary increase, because they do their job with love and always try to do more than "they shoud" to make the guests happy. If we visit Montenegro and Sveti Stefan again, it's the hotel that we will select, for sure!

it would be great to see that you offer discount for lunch and dinner to hotel guests. If you have some packages to make the restaurant part more affordable, I am pretty many guests would prefer to eat in the hotel restaurant, instead of going other places.

The location is perfect, with access to the beach and in front of the island. We had a very precious time at the hotel. The restaurant is very good and the staff is friendly and prepared. A special thank you for Goga, who was adorable! We will definitely come back!

Our best stay in Montenegro! This boutique hotel is exceptional in every way. The staff demonstrates outstanding customer service. They are incredibly kind and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. Although it was a bit small with a balcony, it was perfectly fine for our one-night stay. The mattress was comfy, and I especially loved the bathroom amenities, particularly the ETRO toiletries. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of products. A special thanks to the lady at check-in for confirming our late check-out upon arrival. 🙌🏻 I highly recommend this boutique hotel!

No such thing

California is one of the nicest, coziest hotels we've ever been in. The hotel is small, which is definitely not a downside. Because there are fewer guests, you get undivided attention from all the staff, from the reception, to the waiters and the housemaids. Everyone in the hotel is INCREDIBLY nice. The hotel is very clean and tidy, and this includes the rooms, the common areas, the restaurant and the beach. The breakfast is excellent: it may not seem like a huge variety of dishes, but everything is delicious. The beach is only for the hotel guests, and in the peak of season, it was never fully occupied. Everything is very clean and you can access the beach bar for food and drinks. Last but not least, the hotel's restaurant for a la carte meals. The waiters (Dražen and Krsto) are amazing. Every dish is pure perfection, and you don't have to go anywhere else to get a meal outside of the hotel. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a 5-star experience with amazing service, amenities and food.
