We really enjoyed basing our adventuring from Hotel Los Frailes. We had a car and spent most of the days going to cenotes or ruins, coming back to relax in the pool and then driving to the city center for dinner. Driving around was easy, 10 minutes or so to the central and we always found a parking spot. We also aren't fluent in español but we were able to easily get by. The staff were super friendly. We went in June and I think the hotel was only about 1/3 occupied, but there are only 20 rooms, so the pool and facilities are still really quite private! There's also a great beautiful and luscious lawn for practicing handstands!

There is another hotel with a very similar name, be diligent when navigating back! Luckily it's only a few minutes drive away. There wasn't a fridge, we would have appreciated being able to store fruit and yogurt in the fridge.

There is another hotel with the same name which should not be allowed by the authorities as hotel los Frailes concept sounds the same as hotel los frailes and is located on the road los frailes On arrival we were dropped off at the concept hotel and had to reload 6 suitcases and get another taxi Our domino delivery went there as well even when we gave them the address and the pick up tax same morning did the same !!

The property is beautiful, clean, and in a fantastic location. Parking is right there; no valet. Food was excellent.

The rooms are very clean, and the bed is comfortable. My one complaint is there are almost no other furnishings in the room! A little desk, or a chair and side table, would go a long way!

Hidden treasure: When we entered the street (it seemed like a less wealthy hood) we've been surprised by this beautiful hotel with the backyard garden and pool. It was in 10-12min walking distance to the convento de st. bernadino and some nice restaurants around.

The breakfast was pretty basic (you can choose between scrumbled eggs OR 3 mini pancakes, a juice OR a tiny plate of fruits). But at least they offered a free refill of coffee which was pretty good. If you put the "Don't disturb - No molestar" sign onto your door, the cleaning ladies still knock on the door and try to enter which is pretty much the opposite of the sign... Dogs have been barking in the night and morning hours.

We really enjoyed our time there. There was only one problem.. we stayed at Room # 9, and we had horrible wifi reception. The internet worked well in the other areas of the hotel except our room. If they can just invest in a extender, everything would have been perfect.

Then only thing was the wifi reception in our room. Everything else was wonderful.

Very nicely done, it was all clean and the people were very friendly! I felt very welcome and the restaurant / bar is open until 10 pm. It’s staff was very accommodating. We only stayed for one night but it was very nice

The place is a little off in a slightly more rugged part of town - on the outskirts. Still felt safe, though. Also the bed is rather small. To be fair: We are both taller than 6 feet (1,82 m and 1,90 m).

The elegance of the building was very nice and the pool was a great size. It'd about a 20 min walk into town along a street that was dark but safe both at day and night. The staff were really helpful and recommended us a local restaurant where we ate really well and cheaply!! The breakfast was not bad either-a choice of pancakes and three types of eggs along with juice or fruit and some small bits of bread with homemade jam- the pancakes were good!

The breakfast service was a bit slow!

This hotel was so perfect! It is located just outside the hustle and bustle which is what I wanted. I needed a quiet hotel and this one delivered. We walked to the monastery and all the restaurants from the hotel (10 minute walk). The hotel itself is very nice. The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished (I stayed in room 5). Breakfast in the morning is simple but just right for the price. I had scrambled eggs with beans and toast, a tea and fresh watermelon. This was all included in the price of the room. Great value!!

Quiet, familiar place with a super friendly workforce. everyone was really nice! I got a good deal on the room due to Black Friday. the room was spacious and very clean. The pool got cleaned daily. they provide pool towels as well. Breakfast is included - communication with the hotel easy and quick. the people at the reception were exceptionally friendly!

it is a bit away from the centre (20-25 min walk); the hotel is in a residential area so you always have to walk a bit to get to bars, restaurants etc. However the convent is only 10 mins away. The breakfast has very limited options and they would charge you if you want more food.

Spotless, very quietly located, professionally run. Staff was very friendly, Hector the waiter and others made a point at doing all they could to make our stay enjoyable.

The only issue was access to hot water. We got tepid water around 5/6 pm but none later in the evening nor in the morning.
