The hotel is imponent, very beautiful and luxirious arquitecture. The balanced mixture of old elements, like wooden floor, enourmously high ceilings and arched glass doors, metallic pieces, with contemporary design. The old elements are very well taken care of. The location is great. Wonderful breakfast with great coffee. Extremely attentive and nice personnel at the restaurant. Very nice old school hospitality style.

The restaurant might have had a better option for vegetarians. We didn't quite like our dinner, which was not very cheap - what we had to eat was just warmed deepfrozen or canned vegetables you can find at any supermarket. Though the waiters at the restaurant were super nice and attentive to us, of which we are greateful.

It is a great location and the room is simple but clean and comfortable.

Check in was easy and the attending staff was very welcome (as it is standard in northern Portugal) but then it took over 20 min wait to get the keys of the room later. There was only one very helpful attendant trying to check guests in and the other attendant was not really interested in helping so we had to wait 20 min for our keys.

The location is great. The breakfast and staff are excellent. Very comfortable and good value for money.
